Women in Ministry

Eisegesis as Apostles also fed the flick and protect it. Another strawman. Jesus was not an elder either . :)
Now did he, the Lord Jesus, say he, The Lord Jesus is the, or an Apostle himself? no. just as Paul as a Pastor, but both are. so your WHOLE Argument on BOTH fails...... LOL, now try again.

Now, for all those who didn't know that the Lord Jesus is the apostle. Hebrews 3:1 "Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;"

it's just amazing how UN-Holy Ghost/Spirit lead people there are to be in the body of the Lord Jesus. it just amazing.

To all,
the Person of Bishop is the Greek word,
Original: ἐπισκοπή
- Transliteration: Episkope
- Phonetic: ep-is-kop-ay'
- Definition:
1. investigation, inspection, visitation
a. that act by which God looks into and searches out the ways, deeds character, of men, in order to adjudge them their lot accordingly, whether joyous or sad
b. oversight
1. overseership, office, charge, the office of an elder
2. the overseer or presiding officers of a Christian church

- Origin: from G1980
- TDNT entry: 12:06,2
- Part(s) of speech: Noun Feminine

Question, "Why is Bishop in the Greek Feminine? do we get a REASON now why if a MAN "DESIRE" the OVERSEERSHIP of Bishop in the qualification listed in 1 Tim. 3. so why classify Bishop as Feminine? because of the WORK, or the Person? here is the Work.
G1980 ἐπισκέπτομαι episkeptomai (e-pi-skep'-to-mai) v.
1. to inspect.
2. (by extension) to go to see, visit, reliev
e.
3. (by implication) to select.
[middle voice from G1909 and the base of G4649]
KJV: look out, visit

Here is what I could not find at the time when this issue came up...

This is my pastor.

Another DUMB Pastor. the blood of Christ cleanses our sins THAT ARE "PAST". supportive scripture, Romans 3:25 "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;" Yes, CONFESSION "OF SINS" IS FOR THE SAVE, not for sinners. the only thing required of God for the sinner in CONFESSION is his Son to be save and not the confession of the sinner sins.

once SAVED, one is indwell by the Spirit. NOW COME MATURITY..... Growing up in Christ. but along the way we may sin.... yes this is what 1 John 1:9 is for, because of the verse before it. as the Holy Spirit said by his apostle Peter, 1 Peter 2:2 "As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:" 101G has never seen any baby that came out of its mother womb ...... walking. one must "LEARN" of God. then one can walk humbly with God. and yes, it's not about feeling, but KNOWLEDGE IN CHRIST..... 1 Peter 4:8 "And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins." if one thinks they can do someone wrong and just do a charity to cover the sin... NO, A. the Holy Spirit wiull not let you go on that. he will worry the, (excuse my language), the H??LL out of you until you get it right with whom you are at odds with. or.... Hebrews 12:4 "Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin." Hebrews 12:5 "And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:" Hebrews 12:6 "For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth." Hebrews 12:7 "If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?" Hebrews 12:8 "But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons."

God knows..... while we're still in these vile bodies ..... yes we will sin, knowing or not. this is why we have the NT confession.

Now, one other thing the IGNORANT pastor did not understand fully. Relationship and fellowship. once one is BORN AGAIN, that Relationship is never broken. but the fellowship can be interrupted by our sin. hence the confessing it up to God. understand, our Relationship with God NEVER CHANGE, just as a woman ..... when she gives birth to a child. no matter if the child grows up and go anti-social and even ..... kills. guess what? that child is still that woman/man parents. the Relationship is never changing. that child is their child. they can go to court and change their name, or even bleach, or darken their skin color. it still doesn't change the Relationship. only the parents may not like what their child has done, is called "broken or interrupted fellowship.

so all that "REBOUND" stupidly is just that.... stupidly in IGNORANCE.

just as the Lord told Nicodemus, you cannot go back into the womb. once you're BORN of God you are HIS, and he will correct you, or you can grow up and LEARN, how to walk with our Father in KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING. Micah 6:8 "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"
you cannot do that if you don't know how.

101G.

P.S. Hebrews 5:12 "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat." Hebrews 5:13 "For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe." Hebrews 5:14 "But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."

'In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel,
with shamefacedness and sobriety;
not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
But I suffer not a woman to teach,
nor to usurp authority over the man,
but to be in silence.

For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
And Adam was not deceived,
but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing,

if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.'

Hello @101G,

The highlighted instruction (above) is very difficult for a woman to accept, but it is there in Scripture, and should be taken seriously, and obeyed, difficult though it is. I am a woman, and love to discuss the word of God with others, as I do here on the forum, but I know that for me to teach would be wrong, unless it were to teach children, or perhaps other women in a women's meeting, if I were equipped for it, which I am not.

I also feel that in a mixed prayer meeting, a woman should pray with her head covered.

Just thoughts.

You are rare in our day and age. I'm glad to hear the culture has not swayed you away from our God given roles in marriage and the church.

As a side note I wish we had more female members here. :)

Thanks my sister. a very good question. now you're highlight,
But I suffer not a woman to teach,
nor to usurp authority over the man,
but to be in silence.
this is a Home setting, between husbands and wives. and not a Church setting. let's get the understanding.
A. the term WOMAN here is really "WIFE". Woman here is the Greek term,
G1135 γυνή gune (ǰ ï-nee') n.
1. a woman.
2. (specially) a wife.
[probably from the base of G1096]
KJV: wife, woman
Root(s): G1096

Note definition #2. ...... why do 101G say it is referring to a wife in the home? the answer is in the text itself. let's see it.
1 Timothy 2:12 "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence." 1 Timothy 2:13 "For Adam was first formed, then Eve." 1 Timothy 2:14 "And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." 1 Timothy 2:15 "Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety."
me. "
complete, question time, "What kind of Woman bear children?" a married one .... a wife. that's how 101G knows it is speaking about a "WIFE".

understand. if the scripture would have said,
G2338 θήλυς thelus (thee'-lïs) adj.
female.
[from thele (the nipple)]
KJV: female, woman

then that would have included all women, (married or not). see how when the Holy Spirit lead one in truth, we get the TRUTH. so 1 Timothy 2:12 is speaking of a HUSBAND and WIFE. and in this setting, (at home), it is the responsibility for the HUSBAND to TEACH/LEAD his .... "OWN" ... wife in the things of God at HOME .... "FIRST" ..... before ..... "THEY" ... come to the House of God, where both are on the same accord or in agreement, and not in confusion. meaning the husband gets up and speak on a scripture, and his OWN wife follow him saying something totally different, (or ask/question her husband while in church)..... U see it now? that's confusion, which God is not a part of.

that term "Woman" in relation to 1 Timothy 2:15 as a child bearer, made the case clear, as in also, 1 Corinthians 14:34 "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law."

woman there is also WIFE, because of this revealing verse, the very next verse. 1 Corinthians 14:35 "And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church." Again, husbands and wives the ONLY woman who have a HUSBAND is a "WIFE". so, when they get HOME .... let them/Woman/Wives ... ask their OWN husband, meaning to LEARN at home FIRST, and if any question, ask at HOME as in 1 Timothy 2:12 ....... key word "AT HOME".

hope this helps. and if you have any other question, please asks.

101G.

nope Gods roles are the same in the marriage and in the church. God is not a God of confusion. Paul and Peter wrote their letters to the CHUCHES.

Good read! Here's one for you that I found very encouraging.

For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith.
ROMANS 1:17

This verse reminds us that we need to learn how to live from faith to faith. It means we approach everything we face, every challenge we meet, every decision we make, and everything we do with faith.

I certainly need faith in my everyday life and in my ministry. When I travel to conferences, I go in faith that I will arrive safely at my destination. When I begin teaching, I do so in faith that God has given me the right message for the audience. I have faith that I am anointed to teach God’s Word, to help people, and to speak the right words. When I walk off the platform, I have faith that God has used my ministry to change lives. When I leave to go home, I have faith that I will arrive safely.

After many years of being doubtful and fearful, I have definitely decided faith is much better. Faith enables us to enjoy our lives and to do amazing things. Living by faith is not a feeling we have; it is a conscious decision we must make.
Faith is simply the conscious, deliberate choice to put our trust in God. It’s at the heart of everything great we’ll ever do. It becomes more natural and we get better at it the more we do it.

If you will begin by exercising faith for simple things, eventually you will have no difficulty trusting God for great things. I remember going to a garage sale and trusting God to help me find a pair of tennis shoes for one of my children for two dollars because that was all I had. I saw God’s faithfulness, and eventually I was able to trust God to cover the needs we have for an international ministry.

Trust in Him Where is God asking you to trust Him today? Start there and continue to go from faith to faith, step by step with God, as you pursue the great things He has prepared for you.
