The Trinity made easy

So if you're a Christian and someone does something atrocious like murder one of your children and you feel Hatred toward them

“Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in Him” (1 John 3:15)

Would not apply to you?
That is right I cannot hate because I walk in the spirit.

Sorry, sometimes I just look at my alerts and answer that post and forget to see what the title is.

But on this one I can make the Trinity very easy. We were made in God's image. 1 Thes. 5:23. spirit, soul and body - a triune being, but its just me.
No problem It happens all of us. Thank you for all of your input we appreciate it.

Yes, the Spirit is part of the Trinity. (Just keeping this on topic) God is a triune being and made man like Himself with a Spirit/mind, Soul/conscience and Body/body.

I don't walk in the spirit of the trinity. I walk in the spirit of Christ. There are many descriptions, titles, and names for God in the Bible and I would like to add God’s proper name is “Yahweh”which occurs more than 6,000 times in the Hebrew Old Testament and is generally translated as “LORD.” But God is also referred to as Elohim, Adonai, El Shaddai,the Ancient of Days, the Holy One of Israel, Father, Shield, and by many more designations. Furthermore, God is holy (Leviticus 11:44),which is why He was called “the Holy One” (the Hebrew text uses the singular adjective “holy” to designate “the Holy One." He is also spirit(John 4:24). It makes perfect sense since God is holy and God is spirit that “Holy”and “Spirit” are sometimes combined and used as one of the many designations for God. Thus, the Hebrew or Greek words for the "HOLY SPIRIT" should be brought into English as the "Holy Spirit”when the subject of averse is God.

None of the dozens of descriptions,titles, or names of God are believed to be a separate, co-equal “Person”in a triune God except for the “HOLY SPIRIT” and there is no solid biblical reason to make the "Holy Spirit” into a separate “Person.” In other contexts the “HOLY SPIRIT” refers to the gift of God’s nature that He placed on people and the new birth to the Christian, and in those contexts it should be translated as the “holy spirit." God placed a form of His nature which is“holy spirit” upon people when He wanted to spiritually empower them because our natural fleshly human bodies do not have spirit power of their own.This holy spirit nature of God was a gift from God to humankind and we see this in the case of Acts 2:38 when the spirit is specifically called a "gift" when given to the Christian.

The Holy Spirit is definitely a Divine Person as proven by the following passages:
  1. He has a Personal will. "The Spirit breathes where He desires" (John 3:8). "...His own will" (Heb 2:4).
  2. He has His own Mind (1 Cor 2:11; Eph 4:30) and makes Personal Decisions (Acts 15:28, Acts 16:7)
  3. He is Omnipresent (Psalm 139:7-8); All-Knowing (1 Corinthians 2:10-11); Creator (Luke 1:35); Savior (Titus 3:5); Addressed as God (Acts 5:3-4).
  4. He is worshipped: "Praise of His Glory" (Eph 1:14).
  5. He possesses command. He directs (Isaiah 40:13); sends out holy workers (Acts 13:1–4); distributes spiritual gifts to believers (1 Cor 12:11).
  6. He is His own Personal entity as an Independent Witness (Acts 5:32).

Jesus is the Lord in Joel, Isaiah and Jeremiah

Joel 2:27-32
27 "Thus you will know that I am in the midst of Israel,

And that I am the Lord your God,

And there is no other;

And My people will never be put to shame.

28 " It will come about after this

That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind;

And your sons and daughters will prophesy,

Your old men will dream dreams,

Your young men will see visions.

29 "Even on the male and female servants

I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

30 "I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth,

Blood, fire and columns of smoke.

31 "The sun will be turned into darkness

And the moon into blood

Before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.

32 "And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of the Lord

Will be delivered;

For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem

There will be those who escape,

As the Lord has said,

Even among the survivors whom the Lord calls.

Rom 10:9-13
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED." 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; 13 for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."

Isa 45:21-24
Is it not I, the Lord?
And there is no other God besides Me,
A righteous God and a Savior;
There is none except Me.
22 " Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth;
For I am God, and there is no other.
23 "I have sworn by Myself,
The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness
And will not turn back,
That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance.
24 "They will say of Me, 'Only in the Lord are righteousness and strength.'

Phil 2:9-11
For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Rom 14:10-12
For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. 11 For it is written,

" AS I LIVE, SAYS THE LORD, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW TO ME,

AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL GIVE PRAISE TO GOD."

12 So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.

1 Cor 2:8-9
the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory

Jeremiah 17:10 the Lord says

"I the LORD search the heart, I test the mind. Even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings"

In Revelation 2:23 Jesus says
"I am He who searches the minds and hearts and I will give to each one of you according to your works"

So if Jesus is not God why would he claim to do something in Revelation that Yahweh claimed in Jeremiah?

So is it Yahweh or Jesus who searches hearts and minds?

The only name that can possibly be above all names is the name of YHWH. Even Non trinitarians are forced to agree with this one due to the fact that their own theology acknowledges that YHWH is greater in nature than Jesus. This means that Jesus shares the personal name and authority of YHWH, making Him God as no one can be equal to God except God alone.

hope this helps !!!

Just so you know, they gave me a warning too. It was because I was off topic, not so much that it was about the trinity.

Can you acknowledge that 1 Thess. 5:23 shows man as a triune being of one person made up of spirit, soul and body?

23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Well that's not going to happen here. You can talk about it whatever you feel like talking about all day long. The only thing we ask is you do it in a polite manner. Also if people are rude to you we ask that you would let us know. You do appreciate you being here and waiting also value your input.

  1. He is worshipped: "Praise of His Glory" (Eph 1:14).

Hi, my brother

If I am allowed to comment, the passage does not say anything about believers worshipping the Holy Spirit, much less as a separate person. There is no indication whatsoever, neither in that passage nor in the rest of the Bible, of believers worshiping the Holy Spirit as a separate being.

The whole passage you quote is speaking about the Only and True God, who is the Father of Jesus Christ, and what He did for us through Jesus Christ. Read verse 11 in order to understand verse 13. I have highlighted them in red. This "His" of verse 13 is the same "His" of verse 11.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless before Him in love; 5 He predestined us to adoption as sons to Himself through Jesus Christ according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace which He graciously bestowed on us in the Beloved. 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood and the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace, 8 which He lavished on us in all wisdom and insight, 9 making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Himself, 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Christ, which are in heaven and on earth.
11 In Him also we have received an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His own will, 12 that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, should live for the praise of His glory. 13 In Him you also, after hearing the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and after believing in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

All honor we give to Jesus Christ, even kneeling down before him, has the purpose of giving glory to God, His Father.

Therefore God highly exalted Him
and gave Him the name which is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11)

There are always people who are rude to me by attacking me personally. It happens here too. I don't attack back and I never report. I just keep trying to get them off of me and talk about what I post.

Since I was a teenager I have always believed I was body, soul, and spirit.

P.S. Management asked me how I found this site. Should I tell them it was you who gave me the address?
