Pauls use of Predestination

Chapter and verse
Jeremiah 32:35 (KJV 1900) — 35 And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

1 John 2:16 (KJV 1900) — 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV 1900) — 13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Nothing there about God choosing not to exercise His authority. Nothing about choosing not to uphold ans sustain all things.

You need to read it again. Maybe all of it this time....

Act 4:25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?
Act 4:26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.
Act 4:27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
Act 4:28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

I always deal with everything you say. Always. You ignore 90 percent of what I say.

I'll offer again. Lets have a public debate where we are required to deal with what each other says. Don't be a coward. Go for it.
I'm in. Name the time and place.

Let's take it slow. Who gathered them together and to do what?

Are you serious ?

Jeremiah 32:35 (KJV 1900) — 35 And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

It did not come into his mind this was something he thought they should do, but he did not stop it

1 John 2:16 (KJV 1900) — 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

These happen but are not from God, yet he allowed it

1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV 1900) — 13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

If God provides a way for you to avoid sin, and you sin, it is obviously he allowed it and did not determine it

You really do need to come out of denial

Are you serious? Says nothing about God choosing to set aside His upholding and sustaining all things.

You really do need to find something in context dealing with said topic instead of imposing your silly position on scripture.

We have a general conversation or we can have a more structured debate format. I'll leave it up to you and allow others to define the format if you want a more structured debate.

Choose what you believe is your best argument and the sources for that argument and we'll go from there.

My source is the Bible. Hence my questions which you address and then I will answer yours.

Who gathered then in Acts 4 and for what purpose?

Moving the goal post

That was not the issue

your own words

Nothing there about God choosing not to exercise His authority.

Well you were in fact refuted by those verses

The Protestant canon contains over 780,000 words.

Act 4:26 The kings of the earth stood together, and the rulers assembled together, against the Lord and against his Christ.’

Repeating yourself does not make it true. It says nothing about God setting aside anything. Your silly position is looking for a proof text. Those are not it.

Ya and? Who gathered them together and for what purpose?
You mean one single and unique prophesied event which the entire Bible is about ?

So much for your argument eh ?

That cannot and does not apply to everything. That was easy to refute.

hope this helps !!!

Shhh....don't interrupt. How rude. You did not learn any manners in 40 years?

Ya and? Who gathered them together and for what purpose?

They gathered together themselves. Their purpose is clear.

Act 4:27 “For indeed both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, assembled together in this city against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed,

LOL, how does gathering yourselves together work to do what God planned and DETERMINED work? Keeping in mind it was all by God's hand.

That is a false claim. You're getting ahead of yourself. Establish your claim from the Scriptures.

The Scriptures declare

Act 4:28 to do as much as your power and your plan had decided beforehand would happen.

To assist you a little.....

Here is your claim. "Keeping in mind it was all by God's hand"

This is in clear contrast to "to do as much as your power and your plan had decided beforehand" << Scripture
