The idea that our Eternity is based solely upon our own actions is contrary to fact.
Then our Eternity is based upon...what, exactly? God's whim? An unknown reason? If the reason is unknown, then why is this hypothesis so objectionable???
I agree - there is no demand that all peoples must be given a chance to hear the Gospel but if they don't, whose fault is it? Their own for not seeking out that which they never heard of? The world of the believers, Jewish and Christian in the far East who had no idea where they were nor how to get there? Or GOD, who placed them in such a situation?I can't find a demand where all men of all generations must be given a chance to hear the Gospel. Whether or not they do, is dependent upon us.
Remember, we are refining the concept that you expressed in post #56 that knowledge of Christ was essential to salvation.
I happen to think that it was GOD's decision that they would never hear of Christ on earth and re-learn they could be saved by faith, not due to oversight nor animosity but because they were reprobate spirits who had already scorned YHWH out of their lives by their free will which HE honoured by letting them live out their earthly prison sentence in the Amazon...
