Bunch of titles. None of them are proper names.

I rebuke you, Satan in the name of the king of Kings and Lord of Lords and wonderful counselor, the mighty God… Won’t work.

To you but not according to the bible.

You can say all of that and not a single demon will leave anybody. You and I both know you have to say the name of Jesus. Mark 16:15-18 clearly says that all of these things will be done in Jesus name. Read it for yourself.

If you're serious about rebuking Satan you need to learn how to rebuke self lies. Satan attacks your mind by convincing you to believe lies about yourself, which are rooted in a lie about God. Confronting self-lies is an important consideration if you want to rebuke the devil.

You can also plead the blood of Jesus over any satanic situation you may find yourself in... It always works. You also might try asking God to reveal wrong thoughts about himself and yourself.

10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

All you need to do to rebuke Satan is use the name of Jesus in the process. There was a man sitting next to me in the passenger seat of my vehicle and he wanted to be delivered of hard-core alcohol abuse. I did not touch him I just spoke softly to him, and rebuked the devil in the name of Jesus that bound him. It has been five months. He’s clean and sober.

It worked for Michael: Jude 1:9 - "But Michael the archangel, when he disputed with the devil and argued about the body of Moses, did not dare pronounce against him an abusive judgment, but said, 'The Lord rebuke you!'"

I didn't mention anything about demons, We were talking about the name of Jesus. Then you jump to demons. What's up with that? Also what about all the different translations that are out there for the Messiah? Like Yehoshua and the Greek translation, "Iesous."

Our Translation of The New Testament refers to Jesus by various names and titles, including Jesus Christ, Son of God, Son of Man, and Emmanuel.

The problem is, none of us are Michael the archangel

Stick to the name of Jesus Christ. We don’t need to confuse Satan with all of these titles.
We don’t baptize in the name of the son of God, the son of man, Emmanuel, etc. We baptize in Jesus name.

Question, precisely how was this man made strong?

16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Satan is not confused by simple things like titles instead of names. He knows God much better than we, and Michael's rebuke in the name of the Lord defeated him. I trust in my Lord, and He defends me just as He did Michael. May the Lord reveal Himself to you, may the Son have mercy on you, may the Redeemer save you, may the Holy One rescue you, if it is right that He should do so.

In His Word, God never calls this problem “alcoholism” or “Demonic Possession.” Instead, He calls it “drunkenness” and/or “idolatry” because to be drunk with wine is sin that will lead to destruction according to Ephesians 5:18: “And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit.”

Drunkenness is a sin like any other sin. You repent and ask God to forgive you.

This is for people that say that the name of Jesus was not verbally used to heal the lame man.

17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

So, to do something in the name of Jesus, obviously requires saying the name of Jesus. The Pharisees heard it said, the man was healed by the verbal name of Jesus and faith in his name, and they were commanded to cease saying the name.

Don’t be a Debbie downer and go around saying that we don’t have to say the name of Jesus.

Spirits are not attached to habitual sins?

My church is the church of 3000. It has no name, nor denomination.

Most of Christendom have never heard of it since they skip Acts.
Church of 3000?

 Th
Not so~to true believers he's the Lord Jesus Christ, or Jesus Christ, that separates the Word of life from many other Jesus'/Joshua's, etc.

You are so confused on many truths.

What is the meaning of the word Church? Called out one~Where there are two or more gathering together in one place ~ there you have a church where Jesus is in the midst of. There has always been a church in the true sense in which the word is understood. See Acts 7:38:

"This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:"

Jesus said: Matthew 18:17-20~"And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Them referring to the church!

Acts 2:38 is not in a vacuum~it must be understood in light of all scriptures. I have dealt with this one verse in this thread already, not going to do so again.

HIstorically, Particular Baptist (the first London Confession of Faith) have been known to be separated from EOC, RCC and protestant reformation, for whatever that is worth in the eyes of God.

Independent Baptist in our day is not much different from Pentecostalism with a few exceptions. Independent Baptist, I believe have some sincere folks in them, yet they of all groups, are, I believe the most shallow in knowing their bibles, and I do not say this in trying to hurt them, but I live on the buckle of the bible belt that is ruled by Independents Baptist. Greenville S.C. UpState of South Carolina. I started out in them fifty years ago, and left them within two to three years. Their eschatology is pitiful~that comes from the Scofield Reference Bible~not form God's word.

I think you meant to say Mark 16~I believe you can take the words of Jesus and prove that they still are happening in our day, when applied spiritually.
Consider: https://www.mountainretreatorg.net/eschatology/these_signs_shall_follow_them_that_believe.shtml

Weeeell thank you sir, being independent Baptist there are variations in teaching. You I am sure have seen them.

So bible Baptists.. which are a type of independent Baptist.. generally don't accept Scofields teaching because he teaches a universal church, with it starting at Pentecost and not with JC and His disciples as the first visible and local church. They may accept other teachings from Scofield though as he was probably right on scripture in other areas.

And for pentecostal teaching.. most bible Baptists, aside from those that may believe in a universal church starting at Pentecost, are non charismatic. Cessationists. Although they share with Pentecostalism conservative dress, the. Bible being God's Word and usually independence of the local church.

But I know what you mean. Like many denominations there are variations.

My church is not calvinist, but is osas, independent, Kjvo, baptism by immersion only, of believers only. No universal church..only local ones.

There are many independent Baptists with this doctrine. Bible Baptists and independent missionary Baptists being the main ones.

Anyway.. just for your information.
