Do those word appear anywhere in scripture? If somebody says, I baptize you in the name of the son and they don’t say Jesus, they are lying to you.
Do those word appear anywhere in scripture? If somebody says, I baptize you in the name of the son and they don’t say Jesus, they are lying to you.
The command in Matthew is to baptize in the name of the son. Do you know what that name that you are commanded to baptize in is?Do those word appear anywhere in scripture?
I think phrase means by his authoritySo you think the name of the son is also son?
Did you read the verse? The command in Matthew is to baptize in the name of the son. Do you know what that name that you are commanded to baptize in is?
What silly question is this? When we are at work, and our boss gives us a command, do we fulfill his command or just parrot his command back to him?
Jesus commanded his disciples to baptized in the name of the son. The name of the son is Jesus. Did you know that?Did you read the verse?
Matthew 28:19 (ESV) — 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
But is highly unlikely that you have been baptized in the name of the son… Jesus. What silly question is this?
Most all here have in all likelihood been water baptized
I was baptized by the authority of the Father, Son and Holy SpiritBut is highly unlikely that you have been baptized in the name of the son… Jesus.
Not quite what Jesus stated in Mat 28:19The name of the father is Jesus. The name of the son is Jesus… Duh. The name of the Holy Ghost is Jesus. That’s why everybody in the New Testament Church was always and only baptized in the name of Jesus. They figured that out. Why can’t we?
Care to quote someone who stated their name was Jesus? And they did not even have a completed Bible and they figured it out. Modernists must be completely brain dead.
Because that is what Scripture says. Baptism is an act of faith that God says brings about salvation. The water does not save, but if you do not pass through the water you are not saved. You state they are niot saved until water baptism
Not according to Scripture. Without action faith is dead (James 2:26). Dead faith cannot save. Faith (alive and active) must precede the reception of salvation (Eph 2:8).Irrelevant to the issue regarding baptism
Faith preceeds any act it leads to
Again, not according to Scripture.Wrong faith pre-exist its actions
You have said it many times, but I'll forgive you the lie.No I did not say that
Faith trust is what is required
Because that is what Scripture says. Baptism is an act of faith that God says brings about salvation. The water does not save, but if you do not pass through the water you are not saved.
Sorry faith pre-exists any act it leads toNot according to Scripture. Without action faith is dead (James 2:26). Dead faith cannot save. Faith (alive and active) must precede the reception of salvation (Eph 2:8).
I don't need your forgiveness and if you talk about lies you will be reportedAgain, not according to Scripture.
You have said it many times, but I'll forgive you the lie.
Faith is trust and the actions that it engenders. Without the actions then faith does not really exist. If you don't get in the wheelbarrow, then you don't really trust the man pushing it across the tightrope. Jesus is pushing the wheelbarrow, salvation is on the other side of the tightrope, but if you don't get in the wheelbarrow, then you remain on the lost side of the chasm. The wheelbarrow is repentance, confession of Jesus as Lord, and baptism. THAT is trust. THAT is what is required according to Scripture.
Show me your faith without works? It cannot be done. I will show you my faith with my works. Faith is made complete through works. Without works faith is incomplete, and thus dead. Dead faith cannot save. Living faith must precede salvation.Um many verses say faith saves and teach forgiveness of sin and salvation upon faith
Sorry faith pre-exists any act it leads to
Faith is alive before it acts or the act does not come about
Again, that is not what Scripture says (James 2:14-26).I don't need your forgiveness and if you talk about lies you will be reported
it is rather obvious faith which will cause you to get into the wheelbarrow must pre-exist getting into the wheelbarrow
Getting in the wheelbarrow does not make your faith alive.
it was living or you would never get in the wheelbarrow
Totally missing the pointShow me your faith without works? It cannot be done. I will show you my faith with my works. Faith is made complete through works. Without works faith is incomplete, and thus dead. Dead faith cannot save. Living faith must precede salvation.
Sorry James speaks of a said faith not true faithAgain, that is not what Scripture says (James 2:14-26).
Again you are talking about a demonstration not existenceShow me your faith without works? It cannot be done. I will show you my faith with my works. Faith is made complete through works. Without works faith is incomplete, and thus dead. Dead faith cannot save. Living faith must precede salvation.
Again, that is not what Scripture says (James 2:14-26).
No, it is notThe command in Matthew is to baptize in the name of the son. Do you know what that name that you are commanded to baptize in is?
