Such only exists in the origins of the Scriptures. Origins that we do not have. Thusly, we have to know manuscripts and word choices in translation to discern and educate ourselves in gaining such knowledge to know God.
Everyone seems to want to claim they know God personally and intimately through the Spirit of God. Often times what is produced in a person's life is contrary to such claims.

The trouble is... there is quite a lack of consensus on most of scriptures.
As there actually is in the variety of translations.

Right there is the trouble because too many will argue for or against what any specific word says.... Each making a good case.... and Each then

Sure... when one hears the variations of interpretations one generally follows what will allow a life that is most comfortable for them.
The OSAS group feels the most freedoms. That was an old boss of mine. The stories I could tell would make you heads spin.
And he was of the predestined belief that all will be saved. ALL. Yet he grumbled every time it was his turn to hand out the communion
during a service because whosoever turn it was was in charge of supplying the wine and he simply did not want to do that... it cost money!!!

This is an essential part of the process of understanding. It doesn't matter how many people argue for or against a particular word. There are very few times where any argument can actually result in the same meaning being true.... or possibly be a 50/50 split in determination. There is almost always a meaningful distinction in the process. Which makes it essential. Effort doesn't matter. Determination is what matters.
Correct. You can narrow/boil this down.... to identifying a "self serving" interest in most anything that dictates how people react. We just need to identify the self serving nature we all have at times. Relative to the individual, they should at least recognize what is self serving and what is not......
Christ pleased not Himself. Ultimately, even men that sacrifice themselves can and are often wrong. The complexity that exists in such determinations often lead to producing the "too much effort" to know God syndrome. Most people are just too lazy at times.

So is "perfect" in this verse. It also means "complete."
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
Eze 28:14–15.
"Thou was 'complete' or "to specification" in thy ways..."
In other words, Lucifer was created "to [God's] specification."
It's the same for all creation, specifically, man:
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Gen. 1:30–31.
Again, in other words, "good" also means "to specification" or "good enough" for my purpose.
"Good" does not mean "morally" good. There is another word for "morally" good and it s not ever used in the creation narrative. There is another word for "morally" good and it is not ever used in the creation narrative.
So, with the creation of all things God created they were created "to [His] specification" or "complete" for the purpose He has created them. There is nothing in the universe God created that has any moral qualities to it. But all things God created were "good enough" or [to His] specification" for the purpose to which they were created.
Everything in God's created universe is stamped with what's called "entropy." There is such a thing in existence as the Law of Entropy." This means all things are created to descend into chaos. There is nothing God created that is eternal, holy, or righteous. Everything is created to "die" or descend into chaos.
ONLY GOD is eternal.
ONLY GOD is Holy.
ONLY GOD is Righteous.
Man was created fallen short of the glory of God. The word for that is "sinful" or "missing the mark of the glory of God" - including the angels.

I have been listening to some speaking in tongues videos, it sounds like a bunch of gibberous to me, and nothing that sounds edifying to me. So I guess I just don't care about it anymore.

NOT everyone speaks in tongues. And those that do more often or not do not even understand what they say.
Sure it sounds like gibberish.
Not everyone was given the gift of interpretations either.
You want to follow a gift. You can find things about it on the internet. Follow the gift of healing. Or who has had a healing.
My mom did back in the late 90s. She had a healing of a lump in her breast that they were rushing her to surgery because 3 mammogram machines picked it up and showed it to be bad, and came surgery day the lump disappeared.
These are wonderful things that you can read about and also then look into the gift of healing that some, not all, have... mostly charismatic

if God have set, "ORDAIN", speaking in tongues, then who are we to say other wise. 1 Corinthians 12:28 "And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues."
the term "SET" here in verse 28 means, "ORDAIN".

Acts 2:3–4.
On the day of Pentecost, all of the 120 disciples who were gathered together were filled with the Holy Spirit. This included the apostles and other followers of Jesus, such as his mother and brothers. According to Acts 2:1-4, they were all filled and began speaking in other tongues.
Some believe that only the apostles where filled with the Holy Spirit. And others believe that the apostles plus the 120 where filled. Me personally I lean more toward the 120 and the apostles. Because If you follow the pronoun 'they' backwards, you finally discover who was being referred to in: And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,). So 'they' the 120 were all together.

I hold to Isaiah's perspective of God as revealed by God. Once you understand and accept these three tenets of theological understanding of God then the rest should fall into place.
1. There is only ONE God.
2. There is NONE like Him.
3. He gives His glory to NO ONE.
While the singular "glory of God" encompasses the totality of His divine nature and the visible manifestation of His perfection, theological understanding allows us to appreciate this multifaceted splendor through His various attributes. These "glories" are not separate components but rather distinct facets of His one glorious being, revealed to humanity through His creation, actions, and Word.
In applying these glories that are particular to God alone the make-up of man clearly falls short of the glory that is God and the word for that is sin ("missing the mark.")
Sinlessness is a glory of God and incommunicable to man. It is impossible for God to share, give, copy, reduplicate any of His Nature to man. There is only ONE God and there is NONE like Him.
God is the standard by which everything and all things are judged against. Therefore, if man was created sinless by God, then this violates the three tenets of God's Person as revealed by Isaiah. Furthermore, not only does this violate Isaiah's three tenets but also requires that man must also be created possessing ALL the glories of God else he would fall short of God's glory as revealed in His Person and Nature.

There is a break in the narrative. 120 did not all speak tongues but only the eleven Galileans (minus Judas who was from Kerioth, Judah.)
7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
Acts 2:7.
There were not 120 "Galileans" in an upper room which barely held twelve. It was an upper room, not a banquet hall.
There was a ten-day window between ascension and Pentecost, the Jewish Feast of Harvest. Jesus gave command to the eleven disciples to return to Jerusalem and "tarry" (sit and wait) "until they were endued by power from on high." This Peter did not do. He officiated a meeting in which Peter led the others to choose a replacement for Judas who committed suicide.
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. Luke 24:49.
Jesus was on the planet forty days from His resurrection. Being the Head of the Church if Jesus wanted to 'replace' Judas He would have done this before He ascended. And since He said He could not send the Comforter (Spirit) unless He departed the disciples were still "in the flesh" in those ten days until the Holy Spirit was sent/arrived.
What Peter and the other ten disciples did was they disobeyed their Lord (Acts 1:15-26.)

101G will not judge any preacher, but 101G will take the apostle stance. which is found in Philippians 1:15 "Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:" Philippians 1:16 "The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:" Philippians 1:17 "But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel." Philippians 1:18 "What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice." Philippians 1:19 "For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,"
