Is anyone else a Seer?

You know what, dwight. The key word in your question is "genuine." I was thinking about your question today and wanted to ask you how strong a dose of the Holy Spirit did you receive, or have you never been baptized in the Holy Spirit yet where you have been given supernatural powers. As I may have told you, I was in church for 30 years, and the last 6 of those were actually seeking and failing to receive that baptism of fire and inner relationship with God. Before that I was raised in a denomination that believed those supernatural gifts were actually from the devil, not God. Those denominations are dangerous to our soul. Therefore, I believe there may be many in the whole church, and especially in the cessationist type denominations who refuse to seek God to the point of Him being found. They have been taught to be afraid. But Jesus said, "fear not."

When Jesus baptized me with fire, that fire burned away all major past sins and desires from my nature. I think it was because I could also from that Wednesday night prayer service on hear God's voice regularly. He even told me what to pray, and all I had to do was repeat the words He said, and I received the answer to the prayer (100% in 48 years. I think someone in the church that does not have this supernatural relationship with God, knowing Who He is could fall silent and not be in the Spirit as they chose to stop being in His presence.

People like to bring up saints in the Bible who sinned. But we will all sin until we have been baptized with the Spirit. Peter denied knowing Jesus, but it wasn't until after Jesus was raised from the dead did He give the apostles the Holy Spirit, then the power baptism (the second baptism) on the Day of Pentecost.
So you think that all of God's gifts are supernatural? Well, they all come from Him, but they are not all supernatural. "Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, ..." James 1:17
Paul says that some have the gift of service, teaching, exhorting, giving, leading, and showing mercy. Romans 12:7-8 Of course these are in addition to the 9 supernatural gifts
How strong a dose of the Holy Spirit did I receive? You mean on a scale from 1 to 10? I don't know. All I know is that Jesus baptized me in His Holy Spirit in August of 1971. Where is the scale to even measure that?
Yes, I was raised in a denomination, but I wasn't saved until 2 years after I left home. Growing up in that denomination they never even talked about the gifts of the Holy Spirit, either pro or con. In fact, I never even heard of them until later.
Actually it was the blood of Jesus that cleansed you of your past sins, not fire. I'm glad you agree with me now, saying it was your PAST sins that were taken away, not your present or future sins. Where does the Bible say that He takes away our sinful desires? We are told to "reckon ourselves as dead to sin" by faith and to resist the devil and our own lust and to "take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ." 2 Corinthians 10:5.
Peter sinned EVEN AFTER he was filled with the Holy Spirit. Paul had to rebuke him and apparently Peter submitted to that rebuke. So what happened? Peter's life and even his occasional sin didn't stop, just because he received the power of the baptism of the Holy Spirit - unlike your claim. Well, maybe you're actually stronger and more spiritual than Peter.

Again, your "gift" of hearing "God's voice" regularly, even telling you what to pray, then you repeat it and receive His answer 100% of the time - for the last 48 years, is beyond what even Paul and Peter and James and John ever claimed. So obviously, you're "gift" is far greater than anything that they ever received - OR you're hearing the voice of a demon.

Your "God" is like a vending machine. You put in a dollar, push the buttons, and out pops a candy bar. In this way, the vending machine serves you. He tells you what to pray, you repeat the words, and out pops the answer.

God does not dishonor Himself by becoming your servant, giving you what to pray, and immediate answers. He never had that kind of prayer relationship with anyone in scripture, but you want us to believe that He does - with you.

Abraham, who was 75, had to wait 25 years for God's promise to be fulfilled - and the desire of his heart to be fulfilled - to have a son. God gave him very little explanation on how this was going to happen, until Abraham was 99 years old, when He told him plainly, "Sarah will bear you a child next year."

But you don't have to wait for your answers to prayer. You get them immediately by a supernatural voice. That's NOT the God of the Bible - that's the devil.

OR whatever .
However as of late the big special has been pumped .
AND it dont seem to matter what denomination one sits in
from the deadly RCC to many others
THEY all love that skittles diverse jesus . the god that pumped them the love of the world
but under the guise it was the love of GOD and DARN it has made the road to GOD
very sin accepting and every religion joins in with the madness
as they all chant , JUST GIVE US this love god . And so few will even speak up
to try and tell them , HEY YALL that is satan , NOT GOD you been loving on .....................

Listen up charismaticlady, you who say that you no longer sin. Here is Paul speaking to believers in Corinth in 2 Corinthians 12:20-21:

"For I am afraid that perhaps when I come I may find you to be not what I wish and may be found by you to be not what you wish; that perhaps there will be strife, jealousy, angry tempers, disputes, slanders, gossip, arrogance, disturbances; I am afraid that when I come again my God may humiliate me before you, and I may mourn over many of those who have sinned in the past and not repented of the impurity, immorality and sensuality which they have practiced."

So you see, contrary to your claim, Christians do sin occasionally, and that includes you.

No, not including me. But it did. Seeing as Jesus is both the Author and Finisher of our faith, it doesn't have to do with us acting all righteous and pious, except AFTER Jesus has made us righteous. It is not as some radio teachers say on TEMA, that we put on Jesus while being filthy underneath. That is NOT what Jesus Author's in us, nor are we finished. That is the most fake doctrine I can think of. It has nothing to do with the true power of the blood of Jesus, and everything to do with NOT being born again of the Spirit.

Fake Christians are what Paul was addressing, not true Christians filled with the powerful Holy Spirit. Without being conformed to the image of Christ, we are just as damned as an atheist. Matthew 7:19-23.

No actually Paul tells us clearly who he was addressing at the beginning of his letter. You must have missed that. 2 Cor. 1:1 "To the church of God which is at Corinth with all the saints who are throughout Achaia."

Every book of the Bible is addressed to men and women and children of faith, and born again believers. None of the Bible is addressed to fake believers. I'm surprised you didn't know that.

sin is this FLESH body...
and that horror will end soon
when all His so worn out souls
meet Him on the clouds

The man sleeping with his step-mother was a fake believer and his Church was told to kick him out.

When a letter is written to a church in the New Testament, it is to converted saints. False believers are addressed seperately.

If he was a fake believer, then he would have needed to repent of his adultery, as well as be born again before he could be restored to the church. But Paul doesn't mention his being born again when they welcomed him back. 2 Corinthians 2:6-8
So he was a genuine believer who yielded to temptation and fell into sin and then later repented and came back to the Lord and the church.

Where are false believers addressed? If you mean that the New Testament authors warned the church about false believers, that would be correct. But there is no scripture specifically speaking to unbelievers - with possibly a very small exception, like Psalm 2:10-12

I agree. I was meaning separate scripture from letters to churches..ie Jesus rebuking Pharisees

Revelation 2 and 3 are seven letters Jesus wrote to Christians throughout the history of the Church. This is the last Church. The Church today. It is full of fake Christians.

Revelation 3:

14 To the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,

‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

22 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ ”

Nothing here about the people in the church of Loadecia being unsaved.

Today, you could characterize most of christendom with this kind of worldliness being described.

Many see this passage as prophetic of these times.

Every christian has some things to over come. By the Holy Spirit's power they can to an extent. I've started trusting Jesus more in the area of temptation. I've also began to cut down on singing worldly music.

The key thing with this passage, is like the other churches being addressed, is the repentance is not for salvation, but clearing away ungodly characteristics from church.

The Holy Spirit is within you when you have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ. You don't need to question whether it's there or not because it will be evident.

These are the manifestations of the fruit of the Spirit:

Galatians 5:22-24 (NKJV) 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those [who are] Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Jesus must be on the inside not on the outside knocking.

The seven letters to the Church are a three-fold prophecy. First, they are to the seven churches from the 1st century. Second, they are to all Christians with these traits. And third, they are prophetic and tells of each of the seven church ages in order. As far as our personal traits, all of us should want to be like the Philadelphian church age. They do all that is in the New Covenant including operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. John Calvin is the "church father" that began the theology of cessationism, that all the gifts have passed away, as if we are in a covenant other than the New Covenant.

Cessationism is not that all gifts have passed away. Its usually tongues, prophecy, knowledge, and miracle gifts that are said to have finished..some also have the office gifts ceasing.. but both positions still have faith hope and love gifts remaining.

Prophecy tongues knowledge and miracle gifts are 4 out of over 10 gifts. Many Cessationists limit it to only those 4. As they were foundational for the early churches in apostles ministry and were used to establish the Canon.

Also when I say 'church'..that is the particular congregation of people as believers gathered for worship under the NT covenant. So it would be change from the inside..not the outside.

The problem with just a few gifts passing away is the truth that nothing changes inside a covenant until the end of that covenant. The New Covenant/New Testament is still ours until Jesus comes the second time. It is definitely not until the canon. The gifts are taught IN the canon! That would be like we can eat until the cookbook is published, then we starve.
