He that believes and is not water baptised is saved

Wrong

Then Peter said repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins….
Yes you are... and the reason you're wrong is you're misinterpreting what the scripture says, you have it backwards. It's so clear and easy to understand but you just can't get it.

The truth of this verse has been shown to you over and over and you won't even acknowledge it. You won't discuss it, You act like no one is showing you the truth. All you want to do is keep repeating the same two sentences.

Yeah it is. Another thing that challenges that teaching.. is along with people saying you have to 'confess with your mouth ' at salvation.. which cant be done physically for some disabled people ...there would be some people that cannot be immersed in water.

Hence why salvation is internal belief and conviction rather than external works
Your post makes me think of... He will make a way where there seems to be no way. I had to look it up just now.

This phrase is often attributed to the story of Abraham and Isaac in Genesis 22:9-14, where God tested Abraham’s faith by asking him to sacrifice his only son Isaac. Despite the seemingly impossible situation, God provided a ram as a substitute, and Abraham named the place “The Lord will provide” (El-Shaddai).

That's the real deal, our minds are finite we want to put God in a box and tell him what he can and cannot do. I think he can do more than we could ever dream or imagine. He can make rocks sing out. He can make the whole human race out of mud.

How do I have Acts 2:38 wrong?

Am I posting it backwards or something?

Scriptures in the Bible are not what they appear?

This is the truth. This is the first time a group of sinners asked Peter how to be saved. This was his response. You can’t go to the letters written to the Saints, which are called the Epistiles and give their instructions to sinners. I think you guys know this by now. I think Christians are smarter than they portray themselves. The only thing I can think of is they are being voluntarily blind.

One word... CONTEXT
Here is context… they said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said, repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins…

It speaks for itself.

I see, I read it backwards, and you read it forward like this…

Then Peter said under them repent though you are already saved, and be baptized, unnecessarily in the name of Jesus Christ, not for the remission of sins…

That Acts skipper video will make Acts 2:38 vanish into thin air…
Yes, the false interpretation of Acts 2:38 made by people that are being deceived into believing baptismal regeneration. That would be wonderful if it finished. Then no more people would be led astray by that false teaching.

See right there is the problem, you change the bible around to say whatever game you want to play. But I guess if you're devoid of any true understanding of the word of God that's what you left with.

Yes it speaks for itself, too bad you misinterpreted it To fit your baptismal regeneration theology.

You just need to make sure you don't fall into this trap the bible warns us about in 2nd Corinthians 11:4

You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed. 2nd Corinthians 11:4

  • Salvation through baptism: Some argue that baptismal regeneration implies that salvation comes through the sacrament of baptism, rather than through faith in Jesus Christ alone. This is seen as a departure from the biblical teaching of salvation by faith alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).
  • Addition of human works: Baptismal regeneration can be seen as adding human works to the process of salvation, which is contrary to the biblical teaching of salvation by grace through faith (Romans 3:28).
  • Confusion of means and ends: Baptismal regeneration can be seen as confusing the means of salvation (baptism) with the end of salvation (regeneration), which is a departure from the biblical teaching of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

There is only one way to interpret Acts 2:38

38 Then Peter said to them repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.…

Trust me, if there was another way to interpret it, folks would’ve figured out a way.

No, I changed it to give you an example of what you guys think it is saying.

Tell me exactly where I have gone wrong with this verse…38 Then Peter said unto them repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.…

They have , you just refuse to acknowledge it. They have figured out the right interpretation as compared to your false interpretation. New Christians are to be baptized after they Receive Christ as their savior...

No, I changed it to give you an example of what you guys think it is saying.
Right...You have no idea what anyone else here is saying, Because of it contradicts your false interpretation and your belief in baptismal regeneration.
So keep trying but don't expect anyone to buy into it.
