Faith precedes life !

This is how people can start to believe in Jesus, with no mention of regeneration happening yet, according to Scripture:

(Rom 10:8-13)
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.
13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Okay, I have no problem with that passage, but in Chapter 8 its clear that they that are in the flesh cant lease God

Okay, I have no problem with that passage,
Then you would agree that belief must come before regeneration because there is no regeneration even mentioned in Rom 10:8-13. Right?
but in Chapter 8 its clear that they that are in the flesh cant lease God
I totally agree with Chapter 8 whose audience is regenerated believers. Paul is telling regenerated believers that they must keep siding with the Spirit and not cater to their fleshly desires.

As this is post-Salvation information from Paul, this in no way contradicts the fact that belief precedes regeneration.

One of the reasons Christ died for Gods elect, those given to Him by the Father, was so that He would give them eternal life, that they may know the True God and Jesus Christ Jn 17:2-3

2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

In other words that they may believe in the True God and Jesus Christ, for to know them is to believe in them as well, and this knowing is the result of having been given eternal life, so life precedes faith/knowing God and Jesus Christ.

@TomL

Sorry, scripture shows otherwise

Not one scripture ever stated that those who are in the flesh can please God, Yet I show you a scripture that says they that are in the flesh cannot please God Rom8:8

8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Again no problem with the passage, yet we have been told earlier that they which are in the flesh cannot please God. So if anyone is doing any believing that pleases God, they have been regenerated and no longer in the flesh duh

Chapter 8's audience is regenerated believers. Paul is telling regenerated believers that they must keep siding with the Spirit and not cater to their fleshly desires.

8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Excellent verse that in no way supports the Calvinist heresy that regeneration precedes belief.

Regenerated believers can still fall back into their fleshly desires. Duh.

Again, Chapter 8's audience is regenerated believers. As this is post-Salvation information from Paul, this in no way contradicts the fact that belief precedes regeneration.

Yeah news flash, the entire bible is written to believers.

They which are in the flesh aren't regenerated believers, they are in the Spirit Rom 8:9

9 But ye[believers] are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Sooooo they which are in the flesh are the unregenerate without the Spirit, they cannot please God Paul writes.

Yeah news flash, the entire bible is written to believers.
So why do you continue failing to recognize that fact for Rom 8:8? This is a massive failure for you to not be able to incorporate that fact into Rom 8:8. When you do, then we can progress. Don't let your heretical presuppositions overwhelm your mind.

Who is the "ye" in this case? It is regenerated believers. Paul is telling them to continue to be in the Spirit of God and not to fall back to their fleshly desires.

Soooo regenerated believers must continue to be in the Spirit so that the Spirit continues to dwell in them.

Tats in your head like that,i cant help your thinking

I showed you the difference and you still cant see it, oh well

I refuse to go against the Bible. The fact is that Chapter 8's audience is regenerated believers. Paul is telling regenerated believers that they must continue to be in the Spirit so that the Spirit continues to dwell in them

As this is post-Salvation information from Paul, this in no way contradicts the fact that belief precedes regeneration.

Them's the Biblical facts. Refuse them at your own risk.

Preach it brother !!!!!

AMEN

You previously acknowledges that "the entire bible is written to believers" so it's not just in my head. It's time for you to face reality that your calvinism is heresy.
They which are in the flesh the [unregenerate] cannot please God and Faith pleases God, it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure this out.

What happens to an unregenerate who does not always cater to his fleshly desires but instead seeks the word of God?

Read Rom 10:8-13. Those verses prove that unregenerates can be saved when they confess and believe Christ. And that pleases God.
