Did God, forsake Jesus on the cross?

The reasons typical dwell with “sake of argument,” or “defense.”

How can one say Jesus did not tell us by his recorded prayer to the Father has not one ounce of merit?

”These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.“
‭‭John‬ ‭17‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭KJV

It’s just about as much as questioning; Did God forsake Jesus? Jesus on the cross was the one who stated the happening… or some say “feelings.”

You can’t make 1 verse contradict all the other verses on eternal life which you have just done in the exact same way you have made psalm 22:1 contradict all the other verses on the oneness , unity between the Father and Son. They are united and indivisible.

hope this helps !!!

Well, we done went over plethora of reasons. It’s up to the reader to decide. It doesn’t effect salvation as far as I am concerned… I believe God forsook Jesus. We know that already. We know you don’t believe that. Wonderful… no one really cares in the end…

Again… why refute what Yeshua stated, by making me go over how Jesus is eternal life, when he states about “and this is life eternal, is to know the true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou has sent.”

I ain’t worried about contradictions… as long as they harmonize by the Spirit…

Some say no you must only rely on scripture… yeah okay. 👌

Saying that Jesus said

”These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Jesus, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: as thou hast given yourself power over all flesh, that you should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given myself. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true Jesus, and Jesus Christ, whom myself hast sent.“
‭‭John‬ ‭17‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭KJV

Truly doesn’t make much sense.

”These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.“
‭‭John‬ ‭17‬:‭1‬-‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus proclaimed the Kingdom of Yahavah. Which is also where the King Jesus, resides by sitting on the throne with his Father, as the Lord God Almighty… however the Word of God, is subjected to God… whom is Yahavah…

People desire to go a different route when it comes to Jesus and scriptures concerning his divinity… he was the Word of God… whom was sent by God…

Yeshua is the Son of the True God, known as Yahavah, or Yahweh…

Yet when you mention Yeshua, and something he said… it naturally is just deemed insufficient…

To bad… someone gotta answer that question of what Yeshua was praying to his Father, about knowing the true God and also the one who he had sent.

And that would be to go all the way back when God showed up to Abraham, and forward.

And this is life eternal,

Yes it is simple.

Let me show you just how simple..

John said, "that you may KNOW that you HAVE, < eternal life, and this LIFE... is IN His SON".

Who is the Son?
And what is ....to have Life "IN HIm"? = That is to be "IN Christ".. .

See, Jesus is Eternal Life, and if you have HIM, then you have ETERNAL Life.

How Do you have HIM, who is "eternal life" that you may know it, John says?

Jesus said... "YOU MUST be Born Again".

Because when you are, you have this..

Jesus said.. "ALL, who believe in ME, i give unto you, ETERNAL LIFE, and you shall never go to hell. (Perish)".

Now, i know that you are a devout Preterist , who does not believe in Hell, or a literal devil who is still around. @MatthewG

No one cares what I believe.

I’ve done explained… people continue to go over Jesus in this one segment of scripture which we were discussing.

Come to find out, life eternal is found in knowing the true God, and the one whom he had sent.

“That was Jesus prayer to Yahavah, God.”

“That people come to know the true God, and the one whom he had sent, is life eternal.”

Who knew? 🤷‍♂️

Jesus statement in John 17:3-5 shows His equality with God as co equals with eternal life coming from Them.

Whatever you wanna make it in to. You go right ahead…

I’ve done explained my position which Jesus has yet to be refuted in seeking to do…

Jesus wasn’t making a statement… he was making a prayer to his Father…, for people to come to know the true God, and the one whom had sent, Yeshua.

You can tell me no he is not, but you’ll be telling me Jesus was wrong!

Man… people really do have a lot of nerve.

Or make their own preconceived knowledge as though it is far superior that “it trumps, Jesus,” cause apparently he didn’t know what he was doing…

And if he is praying to himself and giving himself power over the flesh and not by the spirit of the Father whom he was addressing at the current time…

That is just ludicrous…

He is my God 100% I worship Him . Are you saying that’s idolatry ?
I don’t believe it is right, or going by what Jesus told people in the gospel concerning his God, whom was the God of Israel, whom has a name, Yahavah. Which Jesus proclaimed the Kingdom of Yahavah.

You can choose to do what you want; but I believe that Jesus would desire for us to learn and know true God, and the one whom Yeshua has sent.

I hate all the trinity bs, sola scriptura crap… I’m highly against the trinity, but I don’t believe it will cost you, your salvation if you do not hold “the manmade trinity doctrine.”

You keep saying Jesus was 100% God; then why didn’t he know the time of his return but only his Father?

If you don’t care, and your affirm in your trinity verses and connections and systemically erasing the spirit all together, is to me all together appalling, because there is only one God, the Father and one Lord Yeshua…

You can say co-equal blah blah blah. That stuff doesn’t effect me in my personal relationship with my Father and fellowship with the Father and the Son…

I’ve done read the Bible enough times to stand where I do… some say that boy need correct but…

They can go eat a hotdog, steamed bun.

Explain what you mean by "knowing the true God".

= HOW?

What you posted is vague, and obtuse, and unclear.

Can you be specific? @MatthewG
Jesus said it… take it up with him… who was his God? Did he have one? Why Jesus is praying to Yahweh, for people to come to know the true God, and Yeshua himself whom God has sent, which was the Word.

Do you worship or pray to Jesus ?

Nope. Are you gonna respond to my post? Why do you care what I do in my faith, with Yahweh, and the Son of God, Yeshua who was risen from the dead? @civic
The disciples prayed to Him and worshipped Him. Why did Jesus allow them to Worship Him and not rebuke them for idolatry ?

The first commandment would be broken if He was not God and they would be guilty of idolatry

But aren't you caring what others do with their faith in the way they believe? You're on here sharing what you believe or don't believe about the Trinity for you say Jesus wants us to know about the true God. Why isn't if fair for other's to have their understanding and feel the need to correct you if you're potentially leading others astray?

Worship, was in kneeling and showing of one higher than one self…

I never once have seen anywhere where Jesus instructs for people to worship him…

In fact, in went as far as to stay whom, they would worship…

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

But hell Jesus doesn’t know what he is talking about… you are obvious much smarter than him… in at least in your personality of “debating.” “Because the scriptures say so!” Dogma…

Well, let’s read again what shared prior…

”These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. ‭‭John‬ ‭17‬:‭1‬-‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Did Jesus make Yahavahs name known? He spoke of the Kingdom of his Father, Yeshua was after all, Yahavahs Word made flesh… and Yeshua didn’t know all things… therefore he was not 100% God… there is never any scripture written about it… it’s subjectively believed… by select persons…

If anything he was more of 50% God by being the Word of God, and 50% man because of the flesh which was now owned by the one named Yeshua… however his Father being with his Word and them being one together by and through the Holy Spirit of Yahavah… the expression of Yeshua is seen as the image of the invisible God, as the Word of God being the expression of Gods love… because that was manifest in that flesh, which became sin for the world… God, the Father never died on that cross, but the Word of God was silenced for three days in the grave… with assured disappointment for the ones following him, left wondering… was this it?

The Word of God, fulfilled what never could have been which was also the former covenant which brings us now to today where we can ask Yahavah to help us by his spirit… in Yeshuas name…

If none of this matters to you, then it’s best we just leave the discussion cause this is all written with purpose… I don’t know everything but by the spirit I can discern how people may go about an argument especially one I’ve heard many times and find the whole trinity or “Jesus is God” statement as just wrote… there is no thinking.. behind it, people just wanna be sure they fit in with the crowd and be sure those who know already know too, so they can stay cool with the crowd rather go against them.

It’s Jesus words… you’ll have to take it up with him… is it important to you? Personally what is said by him…

What you believe is between you and God… but I’m not gonna put up with the whole wrote “Jesus is God” taught in theological schools and on top of that I have heard “Calvinism” is one of the fastest growing religions and taught in universities as well…

Many people are gonna fall for people “wrote understanding” and never question it…
