For that was the issue in Genesis 6. It makes no sense.
And the fact that the same word appears twice means nothing. For what happens when some see the word "death?"
Some see the death of Christ to mean only physical death. Same word.

So where did their "human type" bodies for the angels come from?
With Jesus? God needed to use Mary to provide a body.
Apparently angel bodies of the "sons of God" type angels are similar to human bodies when materialized.
In contrast. The "morning star" type of angels are light bearing angels, so their bodies are not the same.
There were two different types of angels mentioned in Job.
When the morning stars sang together,
And all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Job 38:7
Satan (Lucifer) was one of the light bearing angels.
It's not the same word twice in Jude v.6. The word translated proper dwelling or habitation is the same word found in 2Cor.5:2 when Paul speaks of our resurrection body.
I always took it to mean they took on the sort of body they would wear when manifesting (like the angels and Lot) which may not be exactly like our flesh but is close enough meaning they can eat and sleep etc., is the sort of body they took on permanently which is how they could procreate with women.
Jude v.6 And the angels which kept not their first estate (arche), but left their own habitation (oiketerion)
he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
2Cor.5:2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house (oiketerion) which is from heaven:
As far as I know, these are the only two places the word "oiketerion" is used.

Its not some intergalactic costume to put on. Its a real body that was designed specifically for each angel. The materialized angels will be able to touch, see, hear and smell. That body has to be custom made for their spirit. Just as our bodies have been made for our soul.
The present difference between us and angels?
Until the resurrection? Our home right now is this fallen earth.
We can not be de-materialized and zapped to heaven like angels can.
Keep in mind. When Christians reign with Christ on the new earth?
The new earth will not be our home. Heaven is our home. No longer the earth.
Angels home is heaven and they commute to earth...
When someone who is chosen to reign with Christ is assigned a place on earth to be in?
That believer will be "commuting" between heaven and earth.
Star Trek probably came the closest way to explain what the Lord will do to us.
We will not be beamed to a new location by some man made machine.
I believe God will beam us around to where He wills us to be.
And, probably we will have the authority make ourselves invisible when need be.
For we will judge the human inhabitants for 1000 years, and what better way to catch

Several angels right now can be in the room where you are. You can't see them, hear them, smell them, or feel them.
They do not have alternative bodies to be in when materialized.
Its their body. Just as your resurrection body will not be one thing in heaven, and another thing when stationed on earth.
It will be you... As God designed to to be.

Sorry wrong again the New Jerusalem comes down from heaven to this earth and we will be heaven on earth at that time. And the Resurrection body never changes thats another misnomer and unbiblical teaching of yours.

What? We don't get a new heaven and new earth we get a heavearth? Since when is the New Jerusalem the whole of heaven? I've never heard that teaching before. And he never said the Resurrection body changes so not sure why you said that.

Your eschatology in not yet clear enough.
What you described is going to be the final new earth's Jerusalem coming down from Heaven resting above the earth.
That will take place only after the Lord burns up the next new heavens and earth that will exist for the Millennium.
In the mean while....
Our everlasting home (for the Church) will remain being forever Heaven.
For all other saints not of the church? Their new home will be the new everlasting earth which will be called the Home of Righteousness.
Now... as for the Bride of Christ?

The New Jerusalem that comes down to earth will not happen for the Millennium.
That will not exist until after the Lord burns everything up at end of the Millennial new earth....
