Did God ( Christ ) die ?

24 And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil,
Confronting another's disingenuousness is not quarreling.

It can be an attempt to deflate the confidence of someone who thinks he has you fooled.
Best way to accomplish that goal is to get him to stop fooling himself.

25 correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, (2 Tim. 2:24-25 ESV)
Amen so repent and believe the Trinity and 2 natures in Christ as taught in Scripture and Christendom throughout history. @GeneZ . Neither one of you take correction as the passage teaches and are argumentative.

hope this helps !!!

You should take your own advice once in a while instead of projecting it into others. You make personal attacks and discussing other posters in your comment's in a daily basis.

There is no Bible verse that says this. Notice there were no quotations from the Bible, just an unproven assertion based on human reasoning.

Jesus said:

"Behold, I was dead."

Jesus is God.

That's an equation, where if you believe both propositions, there is no way around the conclusion.

Jesus did not say:

"I was a little dead somewhere."

"Part of me was dead."

"My external associated non-personal human nature died."

Jesus said "I."

The same "I" in "I am the Light of the World," and "I am the First in the Last."

"I was dead."

That's straight Bible.

It takes human philosophy to make it say the opposite of what it says.

Now think of it this way:

If all God meant by "You shall surely die," is physical death, then we don't need Jesus to die for us.

Why?

Because we all physically die.

And then, when we physically die, we have paid the price of sin, and now we merit heaven afterwards, having paid sin's price.

No more Jesus necessary!

"I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain." (Gal. 2:21 NKJ)

Now explain to me what "Christ died in vain" even means?

It means we have removed the purpose of Christ dying.

And why is there in Scripture a "second death"?

Did God say to Adam and Eve, "In the day you eat of it, you will die twice?"

What is the purpose of even having a second death?

That death is described as real death—the end result of sin—the wrath of God, experiencing God negatively.

Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (Rev. 20:14 NKJ)

"Shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." (Rev. 21:8 NKJ)

Now I ask you this, straightforwardly and honestly:

Did Jesus somehow evade the second death when he died for us?

Did Jesus only die the first death, and that's it, nothing more?!
So your jesus died spiritually? Yes or no

So are you saying Jesus died spiritually on the cross and not just physically?

He is not the only so called trin saying that on the forum. 3 regular posters have been saying it often as of late. It’s what false teachers like Benny Hinn and Copeland teach and the suffering in hades they tack onto it. The ironic thing is these 2 named false teachers in the charismatic movement are 100 Kenosis heretics.

Like I always say garbage rolls down hill. It starts at the top and works its was down into all other doctrines. Get God/ Christ wrong and it’s easy to see in the doctrinal beliefs.

It helps...

Because, for some reason the Lord wants me exposed to this kind of thing.

It makes me feel like I'm a psychotherapist.
Like a parent bringing up a child....
Like a policeman requiring restraint in the face of an obvious wrong...

So? It helps.

Now offer some real correction. Not some imposed man made dogma that one must conform to as to be accepted by a group of religious people who refuse to rightly divide the Word of God.. Those who will be ashamed when they meet the Lord who will not play childish games that mere men play.

In Christ.....

No shame here defending the Trinity and Deity of Christ. :)

Have we spent enough time avoiding one another?

Do you ever consider that you're doing what you want to do without the need to call "God" into the situation to justify your own choices?

So are you saying Jesus died spiritually on the cross and not just physically?

A common belief in PSA. After all. Jesus had to die just like they would. Forget the fact that Jesus was Perfect.

It’s called turning a blind eye to the biblical God, His nature and character. As I always say the doctrines of man can blind one just like it did the Pharisees who couldn't, wouldn’t hear the truth from Jesus.

I have no shame. Why should I?
As much as I covered I know what I am talking about... The Lord is my witness.

As for you?
Anytime I showed you certain passages to show you how your position is impossible?
You would vaporize.. Disappear... And, then only later, come back like I said nothing.
Only to find you repeating your same old error.
An error that I showed you by Scripture absolutely contradicted your not very well thought out position..

I do not know what you are up to.

But...

At my age, such game playing has lost its charm.

You haven’t showed one single contradiction in my view with the Trinity and 2 natures in Christ.

Just for the record—someone who wanted to represent me HONESTLY instead of slandering by association—would know I don't teach Jesus went to Hades to suffer, nor do I believe in the kind of view that Hinn and Copeland teach that believers are identical to Christ.

It's good to at least make an ATTEMPT to see what people are teaching and not inaccurately represent them.

What you keep repeating to me only proves my point about you...
Others have noted it as well.

If you got me to state one more time my doctrinal position that you have memorized by now?
It would only repeat what you have been doing, resulting in you acting again like someone hit
you over the head giving you amnesia... Its dumb to keep repeating such a pattern. Einstein called it insanity.

Something I observed about your approach is this...

You, and a few others here over the years have teamed up as a team having devised an approach designed to coerce those you oppose.
Often to be done with a smiley face. Sometimes like someone is Yosemite Sam. You play "good slop, bad slop."

Since you can't refute those who do know better by making a stand with chapter and verse? Which you can not do.
It looks like your alternative goal would be to try defeating them by getting them to finally become fed up and frustrated with your ploy.
As to get them to over react to your frustrating tactic.. Resulting in them being banned for their reaction to your organized unreasonableness
and game playing approach.

That's all you have been doing..... No answers. Only suppressing truth, in the name of having the truth in name only.

Time after time I have shown you with Scripture, that your "erroneous concept" about the two natures of Christ is contradicted
by passages, that when presented? You will make yourself instantly disappear....

Only to show up later, acting like nothing was said... And, if need be.. Diverting in an inane way when that original point is presented
again to you.

In other words? You have been observed and your deceptive tactical pattern has been noted.
Others have noted what I speak of, but have not as of yet put into words.

I hope that helps.

Never said you did try reading what I said. I said Hinn and Copeland do

That's what sin deserves.

What's what YOU deserve.

That's what Jesus did.

Let's grow up about it, and be thankful!
No one has gone to the lake of fire yet and Jesus will never go there. Physical death is different than spiritual death.
Can you give your defintion of what you are calling spiritual deah?

The Bible says tht spiritual death is the lake of fire. WE do not believe Jesus went there
The Lake of Fire is the Second Death....
Men do not have to go there to be spiritually dead.

Unbelievers who are physically alive, right now on earth, are experiencing spiritual death...

Jesus said that is so.... Luke 9:59-60

He said to another man, “Follow me.”

But he replied, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”

Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.”
