Did God ( Christ ) die ?

but He being the only one possibly able to survive the effects of the punishment.
And not only from a spiritual perspective (being without sin) but also from a physical perspective, having no corruption in his body. Most, maybe even all people, would never have made it to the Cross. They would have died from the flogging and/or beating. His body was exceptionally strong to go through the initial pounding and still be standing to carry a Cross. 💪

pure speculation on your part.

Peter was crucified upside down.

The apostle Paul certainly endured many sufferings for Christ during his ministry. He encountered beatings, imprisonment, stoning, and much more (2 Corinthians 11:23–28). The deeper his troubles, the more deeply Paul saw a connection with the Lord who had suffered so much for him. In Galatians 6:17 he writes, “I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.” Paul’s afflictions were no surprise to him. When Paul was commissioned for his task, the Lord Jesus said, “I will show him how much he must suffer for my name” (Acts 9:16).

Jesus taught that in this world we would have trouble (John 16:33). “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first” (John 15:18). Paul and Barnabas, on the first missionary journey, certainly saw the truth of Jesus’ words as they revisited the cities where they had planted churches, “strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. ‘We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,’ they said” (Acts 14:22). Paul’s teaching that Christians should expect suffering and that his own suffering filled up what was “lacking” is diffused throughout his work. But the theme of joyfulness in suffering is also present. That’s why Paul could say, “I rejoice in what I am suffering for you” (Colossians 1:24; cf. Philippians 2:17).got?

hope this helps !!!

LOL I said the exact opposite mate. Humanity is humanity. Jesus Christ is not some other type of humanity which is not humanity. This is why when veiling His Deity, taking on flesh and effectively constraining Himself to ONLY His humanity, He was exactly like us but without sin.
How many people do you know that have the same eternal humanity (man) that you claim Christ possesses? Name me one person throughout the Bible that is eternally human (man). Just one. You have repeatedly claimed that Christ is fully God and fully man eternally.

Any attempt to redefine humanity as eternal will be denied.

Again, you've got a problem because only by being 100% human (in addition to being 100% Divine) can Jesus save us.

and he just described kenosis.

He gets confused. Because he sees the current state and status of Jesus Christ, and can not see that according to Philippians 2:6-8, that Jesus for a limited amount of time, limited Himself in manifesting no more power than a man who fully loves God.

Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
~But He Himself (Christ)
deprived Himself of the proper function of deity
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!

Philippians 2:6-8

When we see the verses proclaiming Jesus to be God?
Sometimes we fail to recall what He temporarily needed to make Himself to become in order to die in our place on the Cross.
Some also get very upset, and even hyper sentimental in regards of the Love of the Father for the Son, when it was required
for the punishment that should have been rightfully ours, to be transferred to Jesus who was unlike us sinless, but He being the only
one possibly able to survive the effects of the punishment.

That is why the Cross was a win-win for God.

God wins back souls that were lost. And, Jesus was able to survive the punishment which was required to be
satisfied by the justice of God for our sins.

Some do not like that factor..
But it was what was needed by God to take back mankind to where God always intended for man to be.

grace and peace ........
You just love building strawmen, don't you. To save face because of your sci-fi views, you attempted this strawman, I see. I've always believed in Christ's functional kenosis. Now back to your sci-fi views.

the confusion is from you not us. No Jew would ever worship anyone or anything except God. You shall have no other gods- worship God alone.

And we know the disciples worshiped Jesus and He allowed their worship. And many others in the gospel accounts worshiped Jesus.

The facts I just shared prove your assertions are false and your understanding of the Trinity is incorrect and you do not understand the 2 natures in Christ and that Jesus is a Divine Person.

This First Commandment sets the tone for the first four commandments, which can be summarized as, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength” (Deuteronomy 6:5). Jesus Christ called this summation the great commandment (Matthew 22:37-38).

And we know Jesus commanded His disciples love Him by forsaking everything to follow Him, total allegiance to Him and that they would be persecuted and die for Him. Only God can make such demands of anyone. Otherwise it’s idolatry.

hope this helps !!!

He should stick to sci-fi writing where he's quite good in. He can throw in some witch characters that he came across.

We can see how getting God wrong affects ones beliefs. That trickle down effect is clearly seen just in this thread alone about the Trinity and Deity of Christ.

Some do not fear the Lord. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. I like what God said through James and Paul.

James 3:1
My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

And Paul

1 Timothy 1:7
They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not understand what they are saying or that which they so confidently assert.

hope this helps !!!

Of course! Yes... and Peter was also beaten beyond recognition (not looking human from disfigurement) and had his beard pulled out.. and was scourged and slugged by the mob as to have himself covered with spittle... Jesus was one massive bruise. Don't let Hollywood fool you.

I'm going to tell you anyway... . You need a lot to learn. Too bad you do not think so.

Almost got an A on that one!

Except for 1 Tim 1:7? That concerned Judiazers teaching the Torah to believers.

The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
Some have departed from these and have turned to meaningless talk. They want to be teachers of the law,
but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm."
1 Timothy 1:5-7

Its the Truth you will not accept.

I wrote pages on this. I know what I am talking about... 🕵️‍♂️

I see ... You grew up Jewish, too?
You know the Jews....
I am one of those dumb Jews.

No confusion on my part.

Born again Jews who read Genesis 18 before the church age began?
The ones whom God had his hand upon, read and understood to whom Abraham spoke to while the two angels left for Sodom.

You do not understand.. Jews today are not regenerate like Jews were before the Church age.
So talking to a Jew today would be like talking to those who can not speak from experience.
I only first understood the Jews of the OT only after being born again. Then I could see how
they knew what they knew and could believe it by faith...

Sorry sir... you need to get out more and see the rest of the kingdom.

And, before we forget.

1.) Why did Jesus need a human Spirit?

2. Why did Jesus receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit?

Was he not God? Why need those things?
Unless! He made Himself become as a man?

Now go hide...

I am going to write a science fiction book... about these three guys who had themselves convinced collectively they were a genius.

It will be called... "The First Human Trinity."

His disciples ( Jews whom Christ saved, His sheep) worshipped Him. They were not worshipping a man, they were worshipping God. It’s why they all called Him their God in scripture.

You would be great at it since you are projecting . Your belief is much like the novel the Shack. You have much in common with the unbiblical Trinity in the book. :)

And, he also commanded Mary to stop clinging to him because he had not yet been ascended to the Father (to be glorified and reestablished as functioning as God.)

His disciples worshipped him by faith finally knowing he was the promised Messiah. That does not mean He was functionally God when they did.

Again... big shot. Tell me finally! Stop running away and answer!

2. Why did Jesus receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit?

THINK!

The Word of God is telling us something that you wish to *hide* from.
As you always do when you have been caught in a contradiction!

Don't be afraid. Answer!

Every time you run away and hide and refuse to answer, my respect for you goes down another notch.

When God needs neither! Only a MAN DOES!

Why don't you know this already?
Have you not written pages about it?
No?

No?
You still don’t understand the Trinity and 2 natures in Christ. And your redundant ad naseaum questions don’t change those facts. You argue exactly like a JW/ Unitarian against the Deity of Christ.

I don’t need to argue against His humanity since I believe He was/ is fully man. You deny He is fully God and a Divine Person. You make Him human prior to the Incarnation.

hope this helps !!!

This is not Scripture.

Just local urban legend from the apocryphal Acts of Peter and promulgated by Origen.

Right after you rebuke someone for "pure speculation."

Lol, the irony in that.
I guess none of the apostles died for their faith. Not in scripture.
