Was Adam saved?

Adam was given the promise and was never told to stop being fruitful and multiplying or to stop guarding the Garden of Eden, so he certainly could have been saved, though the Bible does not directly state one way or the other.

I believe he was saved but the Bible never says Adam was elect . But it does say the 2nd Adam is the elect One.
The way the word saved is used in this kind of thread confuses me. It's as if it refers to both the start of the process of redemption and sanctification or it refers to the completion of the whole process of redemption and sanctification... Surely to fall away implies to have once been committed which would imply that before they fell away they must have been saved if saved refers to the merest start of the process of salvation?

Adam and Eve had their eyes opened to their sinfulness and to the eternal unforgivable sinfulness of the serpent and the other demons.
They repented of their idolatry.
They were covered by the blood of the skins, a symbol for Christ's blood.

Therefore I suggest that they were to first sinful elect to be sown (Matt 13:36-40) into the world to undergo the process of salvation from their addiction to evil and were followed into this world slowly by the rest of the sinful good seed, the sinful elect people of the kingdom.

It is the word elect that has the absolute certainty of meaning that they will end fully sanctified and married to their GOD, not the word saved. We sometimes enter theological problems when it is actually a misuse of the meaning of a word.

Who else is saved besides the elect ? The Salvation in Christ Jesus is for the Elect 2 Tim 2:10

10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

In the greek salvation here has the definite article, its the only salvation for man through and in Christ Jesus, and its for the elect alone, so if Adam was saved, he was elect.

Judas was elect and chosen to be Christs disciple. Was he saved ?

Israel was Gods elect , chosen yet most were not saved and perished.

No judas wasnt saved, even Jesus said so Jn 17:12

12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

judas is the lost son of perdition, always was.

Judas was only chosen for the apostleship in order to fulfill Gods purpose, but his choice wasnt for salvation, sorry

God, the Lord Jesus is a RIGHTIOUS Judge.
Romans 14:7 "For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself." Romans 14:8 "For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's." Romans 14:9 "For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living."

1 Peter 3:18 "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:" 1 Peter 3:19 "By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;" 1 Peter 3:20 "Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water."

so elect/chosen doesn't mean saved.
