I believe he was saved but the Bible never says Adam was elect . But it does say the 2nd Adam is the elect One.Yes I believe Adam is saved, for I believe he represented the elect in their natural state prior to and in the fall !
The way the word saved is used in this kind of thread confuses me. It's as if it refers to both the start of the process of redemption and sanctification or it refers to the completion of the whole process of redemption and sanctification... Surely to fall away implies to have once been committed which would imply that before they fell away they must have been saved if saved refers to the merest start of the process of salvation?I believe he was saved but the Bible never says Adam was elect . But it does say the 2nd Adam is the elect One.
Who else is saved besides the elect ? The Salvation in Christ Jesus is for the Elect 2 Tim 2:10I believe he was saved but the Bible never says Adam was elect . But it does say the 2nd Adam is the elect One.
Judas was elect and chosen to be Christs disciple. Was he saved ?civic
Who else is saved besides the elect ? The Salvation in Christ Jesus is for the Elect 2 Tim 2:10
10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
In the greek salvation here has the definite article, its the only salvation for man through and in Christ Jesus, and its for the elect alone, so if Adam was saved, he was elect.
No judas wasnt saved, even Jesus said so Jn 17:12Judas was elect and chosen to be Christs disciple. Was he saved ?
Israel was Gods elect , chosen yet most were not saved and perished.
so elect/chosen doesn't mean saved. No judas wasnt saved, even Jesus said so Jn 17:12
12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
judas is the lost son of perdition, always was.
Judas was only chosen for the apostleship in order to fulfill Gods purpose, but his choice wasnt for salvation, sorry
Sorry I dont understand, sounds confusingso elect/chosen doesn't mean saved.
Judas was chosen by Christ , elect but not saved. Much like Israel in the OT.Sorry I dont understand, sounds confusing
