That is the same way we are to be seen. If people see us they see Jesus. Same context.

I was a hard nosed Calvinist for many decades and debated it daily online. Not until God opened up my eyes and I started asking honest questions about God was I led out of that theological system of thought. No one could tell me otherwise before that because I had my presuppositions I defended at all costs.

Jesus is the embodiment of all three.

Colossians 2:9-10
9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

Yes I was not very nice to you and I’m very ashamed about the way I treated you back then. But praise Jesus who changed my mind, heart and allowed me to change. Even though we may still disagree with each other on some issues I can love you the way Christ asks me to. I’m glad you are here and that we have been reconciled in Christ. Amen sister

The Israelites followed all sorts of gods but sometimes followed the true triune God as we now have been taught. The prophecies of sending the Messiah were in the context of ending the transgressions of Israel. It was a mystery that the benefits through Christ became available to all peoples.

It is an all-too-common assumption that the concept of the Trinity is a purely Christian idea. But the idea of a God being a three-in-one unity actually has its roots in foundational Judaism and in the Hebrew Scriptures. Even the concept of the Holy Spirit, the Ruach Ha-kodesh, originates in the Hebrew Scriptures—as early as Genesis 1.

Israel-NEVER served the true God as a trinity-EVER.

I had imagined the discussion on the Trinity would have been about nuances of meaning or maybe modalism or the way divinity and humanness came together. I did not thing the discussion would involve a questioning of Christ's divinity.

Of course there are many ways to approach the topic of the Trinity. My personal preferential way is to prove Christ's Divinity. Once that's done then the cultist is faced with either agreeing to a Bi-unity or to go one more step towards a Tri-unity (Trinity).
