The Non-Elect

Challenge: Name one person who wanted to be saved and was willing to have faith, but wasn't saved, because he wasn't one of the elect.
According to total depravity that can't happen. Total depravity means that man cannot submit himself to God because he will not, and he will not because of his own hostility toward God.

So if you're standing up for Calvinism in this OP Challenge there is no nameless person out there able to meet your requirements.

“Before all worlds and before whatever God did from the beginning, He foreordained to the Kingdom whom He willed.” God cannot and will not alter His saving decree: “God the immutable, immutably predestined before the foundation of the world all His elect by His free grace to eternal life.”

The truth of the matter is “being saved” points to the beginning of a wonderful relationship with God. That anyone can have when they put their faith in Jesus. These words mean much to Christians because they mean a new relationship with God and other people, the renewal of our hearts and minds, the growth of faith and obedience in our lives, and much more.
