have you experienced regeneration, the new birth, being born again ? yes or no

if yes how do you know it was the biblical birth described in the N.T. ?

can a person be born again and not experience the new birth ?
Is the experience of regeneration monolithic? Yes or no?

How is regeneration described in the NT?

SILLY QUESTION

SILLY QUESTION
you ran away from the question which leads me to think you never "experienced " the new birth.

what evidence is there you were born again ?

how do you know ?

And you ran from my reply which makes me think you have no clue about what your talking about.

Because I genuinely believed as regeneration precedes faith.

Because you asked it.

nice diversion since I asked you the question first.

you dodged it as expected.

guilty as charged.

no experience, no birth.

And i replied. Quite successfully obviously.

Who said otherwise, "no experience, no birth"?

Another strawman burned up. LOL

I was regenerated, heard the gospel and believed.
Sorry Pres but even language doesn't accommodate your way of thinking.

So you were you say regenerated which means brought into LIFE. (which is what generating something does, think of a power generator)

So you were regenerated, brought into LIFE then after you heard the gospel and believed you were then brought you into LIFE? But you already said you were brought into LIFE without the gospel or prior to it!

To readers anyway take specials note. When one takes the wraps off of what Calvinists are really saying they're saying, asserting or at least implying that the gospel isn't really necessary. They won't say that with words but you be the judge. Even without their words spelling that out exactly I'd suggest they're still saying the equivalent same thing.

What about " genuine belief" don't you understand?
I'd say the poster is asking a valid question. How do YOU define genuine belief relative to you. We know what Jm 2:19 says about certain type of beings which genuinely can believe things too but it does them no good.

Yup, I was dead in trespasses and sins. I was void of Spiritual life.

I called Christ Lord by the Spirit.

And I gave him a valid answer. His lame attempt to trip me up failed miserable. Much like yours do.

Obviously those who professed belief, those in 1John 2:19, were not geniune believers. A genuine believer will never walk away and will persevere to the end.

Was not Able as depraved as Cain?
You reveal that you are beating a strawman. That statement is nonsensical given the actual doctrine of Total Depravity.

Were Cain, Able, Adam, Eve, Seth, Noah ... pick any Biblical character ... able to choose to BE HOLY AS GOD IS HOLY without God making the first move? Total Depravity (aka. Total Inability) states that every part of man ... our body, our mind, our spirit ... was impacted by the Fall and Adamic curse so that people do not seek God or the ways of God without the call of God. It says the exact same thing that Ephesians 2:1-5 says, so if Total Depravity is false, then Ephesians 2 is false.

That is why Arminius started from a position of accepting Total Depravity and then described what he believed God did about it [I think Classic Arminians landed on the power of the Gospel to regenerate]. That is why John Wesley started from a position of accepting Total Depravity and then described what he believed God did about it [he landed on a position of 'prevenient grace']. We of the Doctrines of Grace [T.U.L.I.P.] also start from a biblical acceptance of Total Depravity and then described what we believed God did about it [The Father draws to the Son per John 6:44 and gives a gift per Ephesians 2:8-9].

Explain by what you mean~"not experience the new birth". Then I will answer you, no problem.

civic~you are asking the wrong question, and the reason being is you have a false understanding of what is being born again.

You should be asking..." Do you as a profess believer in God, have the fruits of the Spirit in your life?" Love being the greatest of all.

I know why you and your friends ask this question, because you think it takes a priest,/preacher/some person and them bringing the gospel to get folks born again, but that is so wrong.

You can be born again in your mother's womb; or, in a country where they worship false gods, like Abraham was; or, you could be at death's door like the thief on the cross, who at one minute, railed upon Christ, then out on nowhere condemned the other malefactor, and then ask Jesus to remember him, when he came into his kingdom, to which Jesus said, today thou shalt be with me in Paradise. Praise the name of the Lord Jesus.

You are conflating the old covenant with the new covenant
