THE INHERITED LIE
By Otis Sellers
The prophet Jeremiah received from the Lord God a revelation of the punishment that He would send upon the kingdom of Judah. The southern kingdom was to suffer the same experience that the ten-tribe northern kingdom had gone through a century before. They too would be cast out of their land and go into exile and captivity. The prospect was a bleak one indeed. However, at the same time Jeremiah received a revelation of their repatriation and restoration by means of a divine miracle that would outshine in glory their miraculous deliverance from the land of Egypt.

'Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said,
the LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
but, the LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north,
and from all lands whither He had driven them:
and I will bring them again into their own land that I gave unto their fathers.'
(Jer. 16: 14, 15.)

This revelation of their miraculous restoration to God and to their land caused Jeremiah to burst forth in a declaration of adoration and majestic truth that is unsurpassed in the Old Testament:-

'0 LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction,
the Gentiles (the nations) shall come unto Thee from the ends of the earth,
and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.'
(Jer. 16: 19.)

All who believe the Bible to be the Word of God, and who make their faith in it to be active and working by making a constant study of it, if honest, will have to make the confession that we too have inherited many lies. And it will be my purpose in this study to deal with one of these which I feel is the worst, the emptiest, and the most unprofitable lie of all. This is the lie: that the two and one-half million Israelites who lived in the land of Palestine between A.D. 1 and 33 rejected and repudiated the man Christ Jesus, refused to listen to His teachings, rejected Him as their Messiah, and finally crucified Him. Growing out of this lie is the further falsehood that for this they were severed from God as a people, that for almost 2,000 years. they have constantly suffered at His hand for this sin,and that after the crucifixion Israel has no place in God's plan. This monumental falsehood needs to be recognized, confessed, and repudiated by all who now profess to be believers in and followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. It also needs to be exposed by having the white light of God's Word turned upon it; and this I intend to do by means of plain, easily understood facts from the New Testament. ... ... ...

Hello there,

* The notes above caught my attention, and I thought perhaps it would be worth entering on the forum, with the link itself, for the consideration of others who are equally interested to know what is being referred to within it.

Thank you

Every Gentile I meet has been infected with Gentile propaganda from the outgrowth teachings of the Constantinian Church of the 4th century. By this time with Israel out of the picture and maintaining their religion centered around their Feasts and Holy Days since the destruction of their Temple in 70 A.D. by the Romans and more Gentiles being born-again, the fellowship of Gentiles began to increasingly look at the events taking place among them and in time began to cast out Israel from her covenants and prophecies and promises God gave to them and take upon themselves their inheritance. By the time Constantine came on the scene Gentiles had taken over the covenants and taught Israel was cast away by God. Here we are 1900 years later and what Gentiles don't understand is that Christ did not come to abolish the Law nor God reject His people. A clear reading of the bible bears this out. Messianic Judaism, the religion of the bible was changed into something unfamiliar and unbiblical. I don't know everything about Messianic Judaism, but I do know that the writings from Genesis to Revelation is Hebrew in origin and Israel and Christ and salvation are its central themes. A great deal of Gentiles are going to be destroyed by lack of knowledge or be found completely surprised when God Himself returns and destroys Israel's enemies (Gentiles) and gives Israel its own land and Christ sitting on His throne in Jerusalem with the people of God, Israel, occupying their land.
And God Himself will cleanse the land of ALL Gentiles. Everyone at the day and forever will go to Jerusalem for the Feast of Tabernacles and those nations that do not go up God will destroy.
On that day God's Law - the Law of Moses - will be the instrument of everyone living by God's Laws. Not too many - practically ALL -Gentiles do not know this. They will be destroyed by this lack of knowledge.

When Jesus said, "Salvation is OF THE JEWS" Gentiles should pay attention or be destroyed.

Hello @jeremiah1five,

I shall certainly read the Old Testament Scriptures, the gospel record and the book of the Acts of the Apostles with new eyes after reading this.

Thank you for your response.

That's encouraging. Make sure you have a good translation, preferably a KJV. All these new-age, modern-day translations are translated from the Greek text Revised Version of 1881 by Westcott and Hort and their translation committee. They were supposed to 'update' the King James, but they instead were covert and ended up with a new Greek translation which was used to translate the American Standard Version (1901) and the New American Standard Version (1952) from which W&H used corrupt Greek manuscripts to develop their Greek text. These two men (Westcott & Hort) were closet Catholics who did not believe in the inspiration of the Scriptures and worshiped Mary. Letters between their sons and wives bear this out. A man, John William Burgon, followed up their work and found many omissions, additions, subtractions, and changing of words to make their translation, and used manuscripts that were about a century older that what was used to translate the KJV but older is not always better. Not even the early church used the Greek manuscripts from which they developed their Greek text of the New Testament. And the finding of these manuscripts is highly suspect as well. These were found in the Vatican library (Vaticanus) and in a waste basket of a Catholic convent at the foot of Mount Sinai (Sinaiticus.) Manuscripts not even the early church were using. This is very important. Google John William Burgon and read up on the happenings in the Gentile church in the mid-1800s. There is a lot to learn.

Romans 11:1-4
I ask, then, has God rejected his people? By no means! For I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he appeals to God against Israel? “Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life.” But what is God’s reply to him? “I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”

The word "foreknew" is better translated as "foreordained". It does not just mean God knew who would believe, but that God set his heart and affection on Israel. God made and prepared Israel for himself.

If God has cast away Israel as some suggest, it would contradict God's purpose and plan. God foreordained Israel as his people.
