The Hypostatic Union- the 2 Natures in Christ

You sure you're not boldly going where no scripture has gone before? Maybe you should admit this is just dreamed up rhetoric you're spinning. This way of thinking has not been confirmed in the Bible.
I have posted these Scriptures before..

The following OT verses speak of God having a soul prior to the Incarnation.
More specifically.. speaks of the Lord God of the Jews having a soul.

'You will eat the old supply and clear out the old because of the new.
Moreover, I will make My dwelling among you, and My soul will not
reject you.' I will also walk among you and be your God, and you shall
be My people." Lev 26:10-12

And they began to remove the foreign gods from their midst and
to serve Jehovah, so that his soul became impatient because of
the trouble of Israel. Judges 10:16

Jehovah himself examines the righteous one as well as the wicked one,
and anyone loving violence his soul certainly hates." Ps 11:5

“Bring no more futile sacrifices; Incense is an abomination to Me. The New Moons,
the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies— I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred
meeting. Your New Moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates;
They are a trouble to Me, I am weary of bearing them.. Isa 1:13-14

There you have it.
Two natures (Jehovah and Soul) attributed to the pre-incarnate Lord God of Israel.

grace and peace .................

Actually, it's Jesus' Personhood
And that person has two natures. You have one person before the Incarnation (having one nature) and then a different person after the Incarnation (having two natures).

And just because you say you have to be born with a body in order to be human, doesn't necessarily make it so. Only God can create souls. If you want to be a human being alive in this world then you will need a body but it is not your body from which your humanity originates.

Gen.1:27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Here are two souls that haven't got their bodies yet. Are they human? When they did get their bodies they became living souls, souls alive in space and time where they could interact with the world and be interacted with.

Wow.

Listened to some of this, I would avoid this guy like the plague.

Literally said "The Gospel is not that he became a man."

Just constant bald ignorant assertions from this guy.
Ailment Diagnosis: Docetism.

Treatment: Two weeks of reading civic's Hypostatic Union material. Quiz immediately after that.

False. We keep telling you that Jesus' Personhood was, is, and always will be the Uncreated Word of God. I've repeated this at least half a dozen times. You're not listening to what we keep telling you.

There is no record anywhere of any disembodied soul being born or created. You're dreaming up definitions.

Read Gen 2:7 to see the sequence of man's creation. First God created a body for Adam from the dust of the ground and only after that and after God breathed into him did Adam become a living soul.

(Gen 2:7) And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Face it @sawdust, you are showing positive for Neo-Apollinarianism.

Could you please give the context of what you quoted from?
Maybe give the time where it appears?
I can't make heads or tails of what you are looking at.

Most of what I heard shows he has understanding of a good number of truths that some here can not get a handle on.
Therefore if you quote him out of context you are sure to get some agreeing.

it was the 3rd mp3 about 2/3 in.

i aint puttin more work in that for a false teacher sorry.
He might be teaching something false about something. That does not make him a false teacher though.
If simply teaching something false made someone a false teacher? Then everyone here would qualify.

Here is a problem that some here keep fighting.

Some insist that He was always being as God in ability....

So. Note the first verse...

5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
6 Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
Philippians 2:5-8

Now? Verse 5?

How can we be of the same mind?

If we are not God???

That is... If He was always being as God when He came to earth?

grace and peace ..................

His Soul, being God's means to express God to men, in a manner that men (who are souls) will be able to relate to.
Sorry Gene but this is crazy made up talk not found in scripture.. I mean it's one thing to even twist a scripture but you're using some scriptural words (like soul) but imposing on them such a weird way of using them.
Those who do understand what I am saying usually have a peace accompanying what they perceive.
Maybe you're projecting because someone might sign on to what you're saying and you're not being challenged on it you're falsely interpreting their agreement that constitutes divine peace.
It angers others.
It could. Or maybe if one is grieved by what you say you're defining that as ungodly anger. Being against what one is saying can't always be judged as anger.

He might be teaching something false about something. That does not make him a false teacher though.
If simply teaching something false made someone a false teacher? Then everyone here would qualify.

Look, I know most teachers have false teaching somewhere, and that's sad, and they can still say good things and be used of God.

But I won't promote it.

And I think it's completely wrong to say it's necessary, and I don't think everyone here "qualifies."

I did show proof.

If you can't grasp it?

Fine.

Unless you can cite a full quote in context to condemn someone?
Next time, do not waste the time of others who wish to think for themselves once they have the facts.
For, you can be the wrong one.
