The Acts 2 church

If you really looked at it, then it doesn't make sense for you to have asked me the question you did.
Did you do this, Fred?...

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,..

See post 35.

You are recycling your same old tired arguments that have already been refuted.

Let me clue you in on something. Repeating something that isn't true will not make it true just because you keep repeating it.

It's on you Fred.

I obeyed Acts 2:38 and qualified myself to apply the Epistles.

Acts skippers are on the outside looking in.

All sins are remitted only this way...

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,...
Sir, you need to be baptized.

Again, and again, and again........ and never stop.

If you were a gentile in Acts 10, this would apply to you....

48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord....

..against your wishes.

...against your false teaching.
More false teaching?...

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,...

12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women....

16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord....

4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

I think the church in acts was unique and new and nearly impossible to replicate today. Churches and people try but it was the Holy Spirit doing miraculous things through the Apostles causing the growth, fellowship , unity etc….. often being duplicated but never replicated today. It can be used as a model but not in the same way we saw God move in the early chapters of acts.

What do you think ?
PERSONALLY, I think that as the end approaches, there may well be a "Coming Together of the visible church" (Eph 4:13) as the Holy Spirit in poured out on Born Again Christians. This may be much like the state of the original church. The "institutional churches" will oppose it as they did in 1970, since it will threaten their religious paradigms.

We saw a small and shallow prelude of that back in the '70s, when there was a large scale dismissal of "Denominationalism", and we perceived something much HIGHER in nature than what the "Church as usual" was capable of.

Two things you have made clear....
You lack understanding, and like to boss people around.

If a person does not obey Acts 2:38 he or she is forbidden to read and apply a single verse in Romans through Rev.

Those books are specifically written to adherents to Acts 2:38.

I made this video clip for this very subject. This is how you qualify yourself to read the epistles.
