God sets conditions we must meet. Us who are His souls must die (not physically) to this world and follow Him. Also we have His first commandment to which all of these conform.

the concept of elect just means 'souls from Him who were in eden, us, before we entered death= this current reality/realm.' Before time = before the current reality/physics/nature, before this fallen civilization and history, thus, before the foundation of this current earth not made by God. His sweet souls who died to this wretched earth and flesh and took up their cross will be freed, finally we will be saved..

Our gorgeous deity Christ made it possible for us to leave this 'nature' and prison, to die to it in our souls and follow Him!

Thus at rapture His 144k sons and daughters will return to eden, will be restored to our Home there in eden paradise, restored to our glorified body lost because of adam, freed finally from this earth which per prophets will be fit for only rats and moles. That is being saved.

kindly, i think the 'saved already' concept was devised to trick all of us when in reality just like moses did and every soul, we have His promise (of rapture and going home)... where of course we need to meet His conditions.

Christ was in eden with His souls.

He was with the prophets and later came here in the fallen type animal body we suffer, what a step down. And He did that to make possible we to go Home.
