Significance of the Virgin Birth

God did miracles through others, not only Jesus, which shows God authenticated them. Why do you not believe anything in the Bible?
Why do you apply a discussion that you misunderstand just to make an accusation of my stance on the rest of the Bible? You keep making big mistakes.

The birth of Jesus to a virgin is fulfillment of part of Gen 3:15. Although it never was anticipated that a woman's offspring would come forth from a woman never mating with a man, this was God's wisdom to bring it forth in this fashion. It also was by God's Spirit overshadowing of Mary that this birth came about and also made Jesus physically as God's Son, which can be said while recognizing Christ's preexistence as part of this conception.
Without this doctrine, a person cannot be recognizable as a Christian. Without this type of conception and birth, Jesus cannot be the exact image of the Father so as to overcome the loss of Adam being in the image of God after the Fall.

Maybe some people can guess why I posted this thread here.
GINOLJC, to all.
101G agree that the virgin birth is the fulfillment, but just a few things.
A., Jesus is not born, his body was. (see Isaiah 9:6).

if he preexist how can "he" God be born?

Hebrews 1:3 "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;"

here, the term, "Express", means EXACT.

Your guess is yours, but from your topic heading, it shows the ONENESS of God is a plurality of diversity.

There was no one called Jesus until the incarnation. I do not know how your system of belief connects the details

Uh. If God' Son is pre-existing without a body, then the gaining of a body through a woman is called birth.
Hebrews 1:3 "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;"

Indeed. Jesus is God and has the exact image. He is not going to be an incorrect image of God the Father. So I'm not sure where the confusion is about his incarnation.

You are speaking of modalism and that sort of makes the Son into a blurring with the Father instead of existing in accord with scripture in distinction from the Father.

5. (NOTE) (“Jesus” is a valid English transliteration, coming from Ancient Hebrew to Koine Greek (via the Septuagint) to Latin to Old English to Modern English. It is completely acceptable to God (Yahweh) for us call upon the Savior's name as “Jesus,” or “Iesous,” or “Yeshua,” or even “Yesu” as in Christian Arabic or in the Fijian Islands, et al. God prepared for all nations to be able to trust in the Savior and to call upon his name by preparing a language dialect for international use: the Hebraic-Koine Greek. Thus, technically and formally, the pronunciation “Iesous” was intentionally established by the Savior as the common basis for Jewish and Gentile acknowledgment of his Redemption and Salvation, going forth as needed into every tribe, native tongue, people, and nation. “Yeshua” is of course delightfully acceptable to him, when it is not used as an exclusionary name. Error, the birth produce a "SOUL", which God already have. remember your scriptures, flesh can only reproduce flesh, and also no flesh can birth a spirit, spirits are "GIVEN"

A. Genesis 2:7 "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

B. Isaiah 42:5 "Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:"

Error, the answer is in the "EQUAL SHARE". not a separation, or distinction, but the EQUAL Share of oneself.

You may have missed that Joshua, the guy spoken of by that name in the Exodus, was a man, just like Moses. So you are not making a real point.

Not quite accurate. God is not soul but rather is spirit. Indeed flesh can only produce flesh which is why Jesus was born of a woman who is flesh. She did not create the spirit in him -- who came from God.

You deny God's ability to interact with creation in the way that is within his will and plan. You make God unable to figure out a way to do this. You deny that this was how God could reconcile humanity to himself.
