Oh, if only the writers knew we'd be hanging on to every word 2 thousand years hence.
Perhaps they would have been super careful with every word used...
instead of conveying ideas/concepts of what they taught.

The Holy Spirit was super careful with every word used when the writers produced their part of the Bible. Translaters/Interpretors who produced the various versions we have today perhaps not so much. If you don't believe the original work was perfect and infallible, you cannot claim it is the word of God. God does not make mistakes.

So where was the Spirit before Ezekiel 3:24?

I wanted his understanding on this.
Do you believe the Holy Spirit indwelt persons in the OT? (generally speaking...not specific persons).
If so,,,how do you believe the Mosaic Covenant differs from the New Covenant?
(since God has always demanded obedience).

Truly it was written just fine . its just men like to twist things .
If you notice in todays age
many seem to have a very scrambled mind and what is clearly written
they do twist . What a lot do not know is
versions like the message Did exactly that , conveyed their own concepts into what THEY thought it should be saying .
As does this generation .
Its became the most entitled to its own opinion
DUE TO what came upon these churches over twenty plus years ago .
I watched this occur .
Would you like to know how it was able to take hold and grab hold of so many within christendom .
IT began just like this .
Imagine a church and its holding its wednesday night bible study .
You have one speaker , the main speaker
and a small group seated around him . HE reads a scripture
THEN he asks each person to tell him what THEY believe it means .
SO they begin . The first answers , but its actually wrong , but the teacher says
good job anyway to make them FEEL accepted
and on it goes , SOME get it right , some get it wrong , they even contradict each others answers
AND yet the whole time , NONE was corrected , all were praised as if his or her opinoin was truth .
THEY DESTROYED the churches . IT became Based and centered on PLEASING the people
on making all feel welcome and accepted . THE DEVIL is SLICK my friend .

SO then WHY dont we just start over . JUST in the bible .
Tis what i been saying by grace ALL ALONG .
You would be amazed at how fast things could have cleared up in time .
Sure some will flee , but the ones remaining would have grown IN THE FAITH .

RATHER it has become THE doctrine of a false love of the world and all about reconciling
the lost with the lost . man with man . Men pleasing things and tatics
AND no concern at all about what MIGHT EVEN OFFEND GOD . its all flipped only most cannot see this .

they will shut down any kind of TRUTH that might offend .

The indwelling Holy Spirit is a New Covenant work of the Holy Spirit. The empowering Holy Spirit is a work of the Holy Spirit that existed almost from the very beginning, but it was a very selective work, unlike the New Covenant indwelling Holy Spirit which every saved individual enjoys.

There are non when taken in context that deny it.

For finding fault WITH THEM
HE says behold the days cometh wherein i will make a NEW covenant with them .
The blood of bulls and of goats could only cleanse as pertains to the flesh
The BLOOD of CHRIST cleanses even the inner conscious of man .
The old was written on stones carried out by the letter of the law
The new is written on our hearts by THE SPIRIT by which we were sealed after we BELEIVED .

And yes GOD has always ordained that we walk in good works and to flee the evil .

THEY has the COMFORTER . IT IS HE who worketh in us that which is well pleasing to GOD .
My advice , HEED THE SPIRIT and not the nasty contrary flesh .
AND let us be heavily feasting on the bible to also learn and to grow and to be REMINDED
of what many false ones no longer remind . THE WHOLE TRUTH .
