Sealed by the baptism en the Holy Ghost

1 Corinthians 12:13 — 13 For en one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

That is a conversion event
Exactly however the "GIFTS" are a different topic, and since there were operational in the OLD testament, they're not necessarily related to NEW Covenant salvation - or even "humanity" (remember Ballan's *** who spoke in "Tongues" or the FISH with the coin).

I was not talking about gifts but the baptism. It is saving

Which, of course has nothing to do with a "Religious water ceremony" and EVERYTHING to do with being indwelled by the Holy Spirit after repenting IN FAITH (not just 'belief").

Acts 15:7-8
(7) After there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, Brethren, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles would hear the word of the gospel and believe.
(8) And God, who knows the heart, testified to them giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us.

Ephesians 1:13
In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.

Cornelius and the other Gentiles with him were given (= sealed with) the Holy Spirit before their water baptism (Acts 10:48).
Cornelius and the other Gentiles with him were given the power of the Holy Spirit to work the miracle of speaking in tongues. That is quite apart from the indwelling Holy Spirit received upon being saved.

Um they received the Spirit

Acts 10:45–47 (LEB) — 45 And those believers from the circumcision who had accompanied Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles, 46 for they heard them speaking in tongues and glorifying God. Then Peter said, 47 “Surely no one can withhold the water for these people to be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit as we also did!”

The gift of the Spirit refers to the reception of the Spirit himself

They were given the spirit

Acts 15:8–9 (LEB) — 8 And God, who knows the heart, testified to them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as he also did to us. 9 And he made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.

Not given to them in....

Act 10:45 ....the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out on ....

46 for they heard them speaking in tongues

The speaking in tongues indicate the empowering Holy Spirit, not the indwelling Holy Spirit. The gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit is not visually discernable.
