Satan and his Lies

@Studyman

I have indeed, too bad you mocked this truth, and have never live only by Christ and his gospel, or, you would not be mocking it, as you are doing.

John 6:54-58

“Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.”

I believe the Jesus "of the Bible's" reference to drinking His Blood and eating His Flesh is symbolic of something men must do to inherit life. Just as the Christ's' reference to the talking snake in the garden is symbolic of living by "any" other voice but God's.

You are free to believe that you found the literal flesh of Jesus, and as you said, "Indeed" have eaten it. Just as you are free to believe Eve was defiled by a talking snake from without, that God didn't warn her about. Just as you are free to believe that Christ was concerned with the literal corners of a man's beard, when HE commanded men not to mar it.

I have come to understand that many of these examples written for our admonition, are symbolic. And written so that I, of my own free will, "should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted". And I am to seek their meaning. Not by adopting the religious opinions of all the "other voices" in the world God placed me in, that you represent, but as the Jesus of the Bible teaches, by "Every Word of God".

I am sure the Sadducees mock Jesus and his apostles as they cast our devils, with the same words, as you are doing. I personally I have never cast out devils, but have heard testimonies of others that have had them cast out, and heard them talking as they were being cast out.

Do you reject this as being true? Do not say no, and then say nothing of these scriptures. How could you even be so bold as to say this is speaking of the evil deeds in this child mind being a unclean spirit that labor to destroy the child.

I have seen this many times. A child with no boundaries, not taught in the way that he should go. Not taught that he must control his own flesh, and obey those who God placed over them. Not given God's Laws HE created for their own good, so that they don't destroy themselves. I've seen them throw themselves on the floor in a supermarket, kicking and screaming, yelling as loud as they possibly can at their mother, fighting and completely out of control. With no regard to anyone. I've seen kids steal from widows, vandalize stores, bully others less fortunate, even handicapped children, and lie through their teeth to save their own face. Do these kids know better, but choose to do these things anyway? The story about the "possessed" child doesn't detail that.

The Spirit of Christ inspired it to be written, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it".

I believe this story is symbolic of the truth that even the most wild and lawless person, if they are learned by the Jesus "of the Bible", can be humbled, corrected and placed on the journey to salvation.

I don't believe Calvinists who imply to the world that Christ created children with a "sin nature", "totally Depraved" from birth, then places demons in their mind, but only saves a select few whose names are drawn in some Holy Lottery.

There is a reason for this story in Scriptures, it isn't to promote this world's religious philosophy that God creates humans with a "sin nature", then punishes them according to their deeds. No Red, according to the actual scriptures, Since Adam, men are to labor to keep the barriers and limitations HE gave them, to keep them from being drawn away of their own wants, lusts and desires. When they don't, there is misery, destruction, wickedness and death.

Paul called it, "The simplicity of Christ". It is the Labor of true believers since at least Abel.

2 Corinthians 5:9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

Adam and Eve are examples written for our admonition of humans who refused, of their own free will, to "Choose" to engage in this Labor. "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."

Jesus is an example of someone who engaged in this labor from His Youth.

Whether the other voices in the world God placed Eve and me in, is a talking snake, a fallen angel, an little red devil with horns and an arrowhead tail, a dragon that falls out of the sky, they all represent the adversary, the Lusts and desires that "EVERY Free Will being has" and MUST resist. God gave Eve the sword, the tools, the armor to protect herself from any adversary, whether it was a devil or the lusts of her own flesh, it is the same. The Barrier God gave her, had she believed in Him, would have saved her from falling. To deny or ignore these undeniable Biblical Truths, is a free will choice that comes from within the heart of man, not from without.

Even as God, whose image we are created after, who can do as HE pleases, who has complete FREE WILL and the Power to "CHOOSE" what ever HE wants, places on Himself, barriers and limitations. He chooses to be a JUST God, no one makes HIM do this, HE chooses it. He "chooses" to be a Merciful God, no one makes Him be this way. HE chooses to care for beings HE creates and has Compassion for them. No one makes Him do these things.

No one, no voice from without Eves own mind, made Eve Choose to disobey God, it was her own Flesh. Her own free will.

God blamed "HER" for "HER" own deeds. God blamed Adam, for his own deeds. And to the Flesh, talking snake, fallen angel, dragon that fell from the sky or whatever this other voice was, who despised Him, He put enmity between it and God's true Church forever.

Rom. 8: 7 Because the "carnal mind" is enmity against God: for it (Carnal Flesh) is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Eve chose, not to walk in the Spirit, even though she knew how, but she chose to walk in the flesh. It's right there in your own Bible, just as it was right there in front of Paul when he was holding the coats of men as they stoned an innocent man to death, "In God's Name".

The implication of your religion is that it was the talking serpent God created and placed in the garden, that caused Eve to fall. As you said, a danger "From without".

The Bible teaches it was her own free will choice to reject God's Laws, that HE created to protect her, that caused her to fall.

I know I'm in the minority here in this understanding, But even this, was common for believers of God throughout history.

"For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus"...........

What is a law? It is a rule, command, order of things, or influence imposed by an authority. This is the rule that each child of God has eternal life and Spirit power to live righteously. The purpose of the verse is to explain how there is no condemnation to those that are in Christ Jesus. The regenerate are quickened by the Spirit of life to no longer be dead in sin (Ephesians 2:1-3 ) by his mighty power alone!

Ephesians 1:19

“And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power"

The same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead.

Ephesians 1:20

Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,”

So, if you ( @Studyman ) teach that man by his own free will can believe, repent and do spiritual acts apart from first being raised form the dead, then you do not have the same gospel that Paul preached, not even close.

There are two aspects to the law of the Spirit of life: eternal life freely given in Christ Jesus and Spirit-provided power to live righteously, for the context contains both – both are in 8:1, salvation in 8:3-4, and the Spirit's power to live righteously and godly in this present world. in 8:5-14.

One cannot have one without the other ~ if saved by Jesus Christ, you have the Spirit. You cannot have one without the other ~ if you have the Spirit, you were saved by Jesus. Every forgiven and regenerated child of God has the Spirit for living a sanctified life. There is power in a child of God – spiritual power by the Spirit of God to live for Christ.

"hath made me free from the law of sin and death."~The Spirit of God, who imparts LIFE to God's elect, has according to the purposes of God cause us to be FREE from the power of indwelling sin....through Jesus Christ acting as the surety of God's elect.

Romans 7:23
"But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members."

When we would do good, even in our most holy moments, sin is present with us, and we see it working. Yet, the Spirit of life has delivered us from its condemnation according to the mercy of God toward by the new birth apart form our works, solely by grace alone, for Christ's sake, not one thing that we have done to move the Spirit to quicken us to life in Jesus Christ. Who has made believers free? The Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. Not by any works of righteousness which we have done, but only by the mercy of God toward us.

Romans 8:3

“For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:”

Here is a question I asked you, and here's your answer:

It is almost impossible to get biblical answers from you since you have created your own doctrines. "How can a man who doesn't believe God, "be born of God?"

Your question was retarded Calvinist foolishness. "Do you believe you have the power "to believe obey God" without being "first" born of God?

I gave the only possible answer. "How can a man "who doesn't believe God", "be born of God?"

Rom. 10:
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

14 How then "shall they call on him" in whom they have not believed? and "how shall they "believe in him"" "of whom they have not heard"? and "how shall they hear" without a preacher?

So the answer to your foolish and retarded question, comes from Paul "How can a man "who doesn't believe God", "be born of God?"

This is more Calvinist Foolishness, that God creates everyone wicked, "Totally Depraved" and only saves those whose name HE draws from some invisible Holly Lottery that took place before the world began.

It's fascinating really, how only Calvinists names were drawn.

so in your manology since it has nothing to do with biblical theology the devil ans demons are nothing but the flesh and imaginary. YIKES

this is just another way of many in which you deny the real Jesus and have replaced Him with an imaginary jesus who is nothing but an idol you have created in your own mind.

you can't possibly be born of God since you deny the very God who gives the new birth.

talk about an oxymoron. you deny the very One who alone is the Only Lord/YHWN a person must call upon to be saved.

talk about foolishness take a look in the mirror and see that humongous LOG as you point out the splinters in others.

you don't believe Paul at all since he taught the following. You make Paul out to be a liar below just you do with Jesus in Matthew 4:1-11.

Ephesians 6:11-13
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes. / For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. / Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

I believe the Carnal Flesh of man is the adversary here. The "Enmity" between the "seed of the woman" (Church of God/Body of Christ), and seed of the talking snake, (Carnal Flesh, evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies", that come from within the mind of man).

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

I believe the "High Places" where these "evil thoughts, hatred, rebellion, disrespect for God, etc.", come from is the mind of man where the Temple of God resides. This is the starting place of the very first sin. "And when the Woman saw that the tree was good for food". But God had already given her HIS Judgment regarding the tree. She had this "Armor", this sword, in fact God gave her everything she needed to battle the "evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies", ALL of which are Spiritual Wickedness that was in Eve's Mind, and according to Paul, are in the Carnal Flesh of every man.

Gal. 5: 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

It's a bridge to far for me, to believe the "works of the devil" and the "works of the flesh" are two completely different things. Men who are drawn away by these Lusts in their minds, and enticed to act according to these Lusts, are said to be "Children of Disobedience", "children of the devil", children of Wrath, and children who "Walk in the Flesh".

For me, they are all connected and I don't believe that God's purpose of all this teaching, is for me to ignore the disobedience, rejection, indifference to God's Laws that are within me, as Paul and Jesus Teaches, in favor of being on the lookout for some talking snake from "Without".

And like Eve, God gave me all I need to withstand the temptations on my journey to salvation.

13 Wherefore (Because of this) take unto you the whole armour of God, (Every Word, as Jesus instructs) that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Eve had the armor, but she didn't have the belief, respect, Faith in God. This came from within her heart, by her own free will choice. I won't just reject and ignore all these things just because they don't align with the religious system of this world God placed me in, that you have adopted and are promoting to others.

Even if you call me a liar, or say I make God's Word a lie, or any of the "many" judgments you and other self proclaimed ministers of righteousness constantly place on those who don't "Yield themselves" to your specific religion.

I do believe Paul and Jesus and James. I just don't believe your adopted philosophy.

no you really don't believe any of them since they all teach the devil is a real and not a parable or the devil means the flesh.

your man made religion is contrary to Gods revelation in His word.

This is more Calvinist Foolishness, that God creates everyone wicked, "Totally Depraved"
No person, Calvinist, or high Calvinist, believes or teach, that God created man wicked, for they know much better than even suggest such a thing. God created man after His image, in righteousness, true holiness, with knowledge, understanding and wisdom, which is seen in that Adam named ever creature that God had created.

After God created both angels and man, he left them to themselves, to the power of their free will, and we all know the end of that. Under the new covenant of grace, God secures eternal life for his elect by their head, Jesus Christ, they being the members of his elect body.

You need to stop lying about what I believe and at least be truthful, and from there see if you can prove me wrong by the scriptures; so far, you are in a deep hole trying to climb out.

Studyman, according to you, God created Adam and Eve with "a mind/heart" that was evil from the start, since you reject that their temptation came from outside of them, so, in your theology, their sin was God's fault by the very fact he created them with this evil wicked mind ~ whom you call the devil/Satan/evil spirits.

Romans 8:3

“For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:”
“For what the law could not do"~This verse confirms the interpretation that has been given of the preceding, with which it stands connected. It is introduced to explain what is said in the two preceding verses. Both this and the following verse are illustrations of that great truth, that to the believer in Christ there is NOW no condemnation There are here three principal considerations: namely, the misery of our natural condition; the mercy of God in the incarnation of His Son; and the effect of sending Him into the world, which "secured" our redemption. Under these three heads, Paul removes the difficulties that might present themselves from the supposition that, on account of some imperfection in the law, it could not justify. In answer to this, it is here shown that the imperfection is not in the law, but "in us" as we are by nature ~ at enmity against God, his word, his people, etc. The law could justify those who fulfilled it, as it is said, "The man that doeth them shall live in them; " but the corruption of human nature renders this impossible. And as it might be objected that the law, which subjects every transgressor to death, is violated by the freedom from it which we obtain by the death of Jesus Christ, Paul shows that the punishment it demands was inflicted upon Christ. There forth, the first proposition, that there is no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, is established; and in the following verse it is added, that the law, which we were required to fulfill, has by Jesus Christ been fulfilled for us. In this view, the justice of God, which naturally terrifies man, inspires us with confidence. For if God is just, will He exact double payment and satisfaction? Will He condemn those for whom the Surety has borne the condemnation which was death? No; He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,’ for "the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.

"in that it was weak through the flesh"~ God's law is spiritual, holy and good, but man is wicked by birth and is at enmity against God's law, regardless what he may say otherwise. The law is unable to justify, but powerful to condemn. There has never been a man but Christ Jesus that could and would keep all its precepts. The deficiency was not properly in the Law itself, but rather in the flesh of men under it. Even Adam in the state in which God created him could not, much more man, after the fall, could never even in one point do what the law commands.

God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh~

Here is where the glorious doctrine of substitutionary atonement and redemption is glorified! God sent His Son Jesus Christ to live under Moses’ Law and keep it perfectly for us! He was made under the Law of Moses as a Jew, so He was bound to keep it (Galatians 4:4). We find from the very beginning that His parents kept its precepts for Him (Luke 2:21-24). His zeal for Moses included teaching and obeying the smallest precepts (Matthew 5:17-20). God sent His Son Jesus Christ with a human, fleshly body to live a life with our nature. He was made in our likeness – a body facing temptation – but without sin (Hebrews 5:4). We are plainly told He was given our constitution, not that of angels (Hebrews 2:14-18).

And for sin.

Sin is the transgression of the Law (1st John 3:4), but Jesus our Lord did not transgress it. Instead, He was given our sins, and He died under the Law’s curse for them (Galatians 3:13; Isaiah 53; 2nd Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 9;29; ; 1st Petr 2:24).

Condemned sin in the flesh.

He condemned sin by destroying its legal claims against us to free us from its condemnation, in his perfect flesh that was without sin. A perfectly obedient Man kept every precept of the Law and died as a Substitute for our sins. This glorious transaction condemned sin that overwhelms our flesh by a perfect fleshly life. We can give God the glory!

Satan is a deceiver. He is a liar (John 8:44). He lied to Adam and Eve, and he continues to lie to God’s creation. He tempts man to believe his deceptions and accept his lies as truth. And in this he draws fine lines, so that man’s mind, as Kreeft said, is clouded. The target here is the mind of man. James 3:15 talks about demonic wisdom. The wisdom of Satan pervades just about all of man’s living, and man can only withstand by knowing God’s truth, a truth that will set him free (John 8:32).

The deception of Satan is seen in the rise of both old and new false religions, cults, humanistic teachings, and secularism. It is given the garb of biblical acceptance and manifested in miracles and signs and wonders that are false and fake. It is cloaked and clouded in scriptural language while being all the time nothing but hermeneutical heresy. It is made manifest in everyday life even under the guise of national pride and patriotism.

The basic intent of Satan as a deceiver is to make man believe his lies and thereby go against God’s revelation in Scripture. The main thrust of Satan’s opposition here is against the Word of God. And he validates his lies with his false miracles. We must never forget that, as believers in the truth and veracity of God’s Word, Satan can empower people to perform his Satanic wonders thereby even deceiving the very elect (Matt. 24:24).

How do we overcome Satan’s lies and other deceptions? Apart from an awareness of his tactics as a deceiver we must know the truth. Our antidote to being led to believe his lies and fall to his fake demonstrations is to be ourselves deeply rooted in God’s Word. In John 17:15–17 Jesus prays that we be sanctified in the truth so that we could resist the evil one. And in that definitive armor we use to stand against the devil, we are asked to grasp firmly the “sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Eph. 6:17). But the truth must be used and not just displayed. “We must take it into our hearts, and delight in it, and guard it, and wield it boldly and proudly in our personal lives and in our church activities.”
