Salvation by Grace through Faith

Faith is either of one or two sources, God or man. Now if its of God, its a matter of pure grace and opposed to works, but if its of man, its a meritorious work and opposed to Grace. Take your pick
God has given us the capacity for trust/faith.

That trust can be applied to anything we choose. We choose and reject many things throughout our lives; relationships, actions, opportunities.

Grace comes into play when God gives us something in which to trust that he didn’t have to give and that we are not worthy of receiving.

The same trust that I am able to place with my wife, is the same trust that God asks me to place in his promises and character. Same trust, differing objects in which to trust!

Another issue I have with Calvinists which I will start a thread is this idea that only the Bible cannot be understood but every other writing in the world can be understood. It’s flawed reasoning. It’s unbiblical thinking.

Faith to believe in Christ is a Gift of Gods Grace, no man has it naturally. Now if your faith is natural faith, and not faith by grace, then its a work, not grace. Faith is opposed to works when Faith is of Grace.

I have given hundreds of scripture here explaining my views, what are you talking about ?
Your interpretations of many verses were refuted; not one actually stated God determines from before the foundation of the earth those who will believe and those who will not.

Furthermore, seeing as God, before the foundation of the Earth, saw who he would need to impart faith to as a matter of redemption, as per your theology, Adam's fall had to be determined.

You say they were refuted, so what I suppose to do, believe they are refurled because you think so ? I haven't known you to ever refute anything I have provided, you deny it, then pile up 1000 verses for me to spend hours explaining to you.

Faith is given as a Gift to a person to believe in Christ righteousness imputed to them, its then they see Christ as the Lord my righteousness. Jer 33 16

In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The Lord our righteousness.

Their sins were imputed to Him and His Righteousness imputed to them 2 Cor 5:21

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

No, not because of me, but because the scriptures clearly refuted them.

And you fail to deal with those particular verses and points.

Prove it!

Now if your faith is natural faith, and not faith by grace, then its a work, not grace. Faith is opposed to works when Faith is of Grace.
Biblical Faith, by definition, is the opposite of works. Your redefining the meaning of faith is a tactic often employed by cults, such as the JWs and Mormons.

You are doubly wrong

Jesus reaction to both faith and unbelief makes it obvious neither their faith or unbelief were determined.

Matthew 8:10 (LEB) — 10 Now when Jesus heard this, he was astonished, and said to those who were following him, “Truly I say to you, I have found such great faith with no one in Israel.

Luke 7:9 (LEB) — 9 And when Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turning around to the crowd that was following him, he said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith!”

Mark 6:6 (LEB) — 6 And he was astonished because of their unbelief. And he was going around among the villages teaching.

Luke 19:41–42 (LEB) — 41 And when he approached and saw the city, he wept over it, 42 saying, “If you had known on this day—even you—the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.

And faith is contrary to works, which earn compensation.

Romans 3:21–30 (LEB) — 21 But now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified about by the law and the prophets—22 that is, the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. For there is no distinction, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified as a gift by his grace, through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God made publicly available as the mercy seat through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness, because of the passing over of previously committed sins, 26 in the forbearance of God, for the demonstration of his righteousness in the present time, so that he should be just and the one who justifies the person by faith in Jesus. 27 Therefore, where is boasting? It has been excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith. 28 For we consider a person to be justified by faith apart from the works of the law. 29 Or is God the God of the Jews only? Is he not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, also of the Gentiles, 30 since God is one, who will justify those who are circumcised by faith and those who are uncircumcised through faith.
