Need a reason to believe Calvinists are who they claim to be?

King James Version has errors.
Romans 8:26 KJV
- Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities for we know not what we should pray for as we ought but the Spirit  itself maketh intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered

The King James uses WOKE pronouns!!!
Every Greek description for God is gendered Male.

God is not an it.
Jesus is not an it.
Father is not an it.
Spirit is not an it.

Faither is He.
Son is He.
Holy Spirit is He.

John 14:26, 13
- but the Comforter which is the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name  He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance ....
- howbeit when  He the Spirit of truth is come  He will guide you into all truth for  He shall not speak of  Himself but whatsoever  He shall hear that shall  He speak and  He will shew you things to come

Translators got it right in John.
Now Romans 8:26 corrected.
- Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities for we know not what we should pray for as we ought but the Spirit  Himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered

Really? Are we now addressing errors of the KJV? Start a thread on this and we will come. There is no doctrinal issues changed whatsoever by using "it", the truth is still intact in Romans 8:26. See: https://www.chick.com/information/a...es5bdbKdxWkObSfy5-9JrGbINE8pV4xBt8CECARARDY_m

@Jim
Because with God, the Son there is no necessary relationship between obedience and faith. I have noted before that chapter 11 of Hebrews, called the Faith chapter by some, first presents the biblical definition for faith and then proceeds to point out key persons in the Bible who demonstrated that faith. Jesus is not even mentioned has having faith. That is for a reason, because as God, the Son, the definition given there simply cannot be rationally applied to him. It does not fit. There is no place for the concept of faith in "the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead" What power is lacking in God, the Son, that He should need and have to rely upon faith?
Jim, Those mentioned in Hebrews 11 were from the OT, even though Christ died under the under OT, yet he's still considered under the NT writings, just as John the Baptist who also is not mentioned, yet the greatest prophet besides Jesus Christ.

Matthew 11:11

“Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.”

You argument does not serve it purpose given. I'm thinking about going through Galatians three:

Galatians 3:22

“But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.”

A very interesting study that few can grasp its meaning, it took me a few years to totally understand since very few ever preach on these things.

Yes,
But in their literature does it teach the elect have no evidence for others of their election.
If so, that would discourage not encourage the reader to become a calvinist.
Personally, I would DISCOURAGE anybody from being an "IST" or an "IAN" of any sort, and instead, simply KMOW WHAT THE WORD SAYS, obey the Holy Sprit.

Don't read "Theological opinions" ABOUT the Word.

READ THE WORD, and trust the holy spirit to give wisdom as HE PROMISES TO DO (James 1:5)

If You're CONVICTED OF YOUR SIN by the Holy Spirit, surrender to HIM and REPENT in FAITH, calling on God to cleanse you from SIN, then you're Born Again, and on the road to spiritual maturity.

"SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGIES" aren't required.
