Mark 16:16~"He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Which is correct.,,.

21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us….

Or

21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also NOT save us….

I have repented and been baptized. To repent means to change one’s mind, to turn away from sin and towards God. It is a change of heart, a turning point in one’s life where one acknowledges their sinful life style and seeks forgiveness and a new path. Repentance is not just a feeling, but a deliberate decision to follow Jesus Christ.

Repent" is from the Greek root word metanoeo. It means to completely change one's paradigm, to admit error and accept the truth. In Christianity, it means to accept the viewpoint of God about the world, Jesus.

Baptism is a ritual in many Christian denominations, symbolizing the admission of a person into the Christian faith. But baptism in another self cannot save you.

I asked if you have been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins? Yes, or no?

Read my posts as they answer you Question. The problem you're having Is with the translation of the word FOR In the structure of the sentence. Being baptized in the name of Jesus does not remove sin. We are baptized "Therefore" in the name of Jesus because our sins have been (Past tense) removed by believing and accepting what Jesus did on the crowd.

Baptism in the Bible expresses an identification with Christ’s death and resurrection—the old self was crucified with Christ and now followers of Jesus have risen with him in “newness of life”

Romans 6:3-11
3Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? 4Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. 5For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; 7for he who has died is freed from sin.

8Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him. 10For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, ….,

What do you mean being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ does not remove sins?

It is clear to me that water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ has been central target of Satan for the last 2000 years. He absolutely deplores it and has convinced Christendom to disobey it.
He knows it is solely for the remission of sins.
He doesn’t care what you do as long as you have no remission of sins.
As long as we have our sins remaining in our life, Satan wins.

That's just your opinion.

Nothing but the blood of Jesus removes sin.

Baptism declares that you are a follower of Jesus Christ. It is a public confession of your faith in, and commitment to, Jesus Christ. It is the next step after salvation through repentance and faith and is an important foundation for Christian life.

Baptism is a symbol. It’s meant to show the world that that you love, trust and have put your hope in Christ.

Baptism is like a wedding ring, it is the outward symbol of the commitment you made in your heart, a commitment that has to be followed through and lived out on a daily basis.

Baptism does not make you a believer; it shows that you already are one! Baptism does not “save” you; only your faith in Christ does that.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8,9

Baptism confirms our position “in Christ” and affirms the blessings of the Father on us as his children. But baptism is not the source of them.

If so you should be able to convince someone.
Among the most spiritual of God’s people, including the most competent and fruitful preachers and teachers, there is much difference of opinion as to what the Bible teaches concerning water baptism.

To say you have the right opinion is rather boastful. If water baptism were necessary for salvation, we would expect to find it stressed whenever the gospel is presented in Scripture and it's not.

Then there is the penitent woman, the paralytic man, the publican, and the thief on the cross all experienced forgiveness of sins apart from baptism. For that matter, we have no record of the apostles' being baptized, yet Jesus pronounced them clean of their sins.

You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. John 15:3--note that the Word of God, not baptism, is what cleansed them.

The blood of Jesus is applied when the name of Jesus is spoken when you’re buried with him in baptism. Burials are bloody. You should know that.

All of that was before Acts chapter 2. Jesus was speaking specifically to his disciples. You are not one of the 12 apostles. You have to follow their instructions now.

It’s funny, people read where Jesus said you are made clean by the word and tried to call that the plan of salvation. Because of this misunderstanding, with the same logic, those that did not have access to the written Bible could’ve never been made clean. Since they never saw that verse.

This is pure evidence of Satan's manipulation of the truth.
If water baptism were necessary for salvation, we would expect to find it stressed whenever the gospel is presented in Scripture and it's not.
Where do you get that idea? Nothing could be further from the truth. Jesus spoke everything He taught in a veiled manner through parables so that only those with eye to see would understand the truths He was teaching. God demands that we see through His Spirit in order to understand the meaning of many of the Scriptures. If one is not seeing through the Spirit, then one gets only Satan's twisting of the truth.
Then there is the penitent woman, the paralytic man, the publican, and the thief on the cross all experienced forgiveness of sins apart from baptism. For that matter, we have no record of the apostles' being baptized, yet Jesus pronounced them clean of their sins.
The penitent woman, the paralytic man, the publican, the thief on the cross, and the Apostles were all given forgiveness during Jesus' physical life. And Jesus had the authority to forgive sin at His sole discretion while He was in the flesh. But after His death, His commands are locked and cannot be changed. He now forgives only through what is written in the NT Scriptures: repentance, confession of Jesus as Lord, and baptism.
You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. John 15:3--note that the Word of God, not baptism, is what cleansed them.
They were cleansed because Jesus declared them to be clean; He told them they were clean, and so they were clean. But what does the Word of God say cleanses us today? Repentance (Acts 3:19), Confession of Jesus as Lord (Rom 10:9-10), Baptism (Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, John 3:5, 1 Pet 3:21, Acts 22:16, Eph 5:26, and others).

When the whole life of a "Christian" revolves around a pet doctrine, usually a false doctrine, you have a cult, or at the very least a cult-like situation.

Truther, can you tell me what church you attend regularly?
I belong to a nondenominational homechurch. We meet and fellowship every Sunday morning.
