Justification by Faith

Justification by Faith is in two senses, First and foremost Its Justification by the Faith / Faithfulness of Jesus Christ. For its by this Faith alone how The elect obtain Justification before God, by the Blood and obedience of Jesus Christ, for all whom He died in their place and stead..

Rom 5:9,18-19

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Note, being Now Justified by His blood, not our Faith + His blood, that's a false Gospel, but by His blood..to whom is this True of ? Not only the roman believers, but to all the election of grace of all time..Thats who Justified by His blood..

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men[of all time] to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men [of all time] unto justification of life.

19
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Again no mention of our Faith as a securing means of Justification unto Life or being made righteous, but solely the obedience and righteousness of One Jesus Christ..

This constitutes the Faith / faithfulness of Jesus Christ. Therefore its written The Faith of Jesus Christ:

Gal 2:16,20

16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

In Faithfulness Jesus Christ Loved the elect and gave himself for them.

Then in a secondary sense and premised on the First and foremost, the elect sinner is Justified consciously, by the regenerating work of the Holy Ghost, because of their previous justification by the work of Christ, they now have that revealed to them by God the Holy Ghost through the Gospel. But be careful not to confuse the receiving experientially the status of Justification before God [by the work of Christ] with the experiential aspect of conscience Justification by the work of the Holy Ghost upon and in the already Justified before God sinner.. 1 Cor 6:11

11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Now, though the work of the Holy Ghost is extremely Important and needed for the enjoyment of the work of Christ in the elects behalf, His blessed work should never be on the same level or above the Justifying work of the Son of God upon the cross. to do so leads to heresy and false teaching.

For it was not the Work of the Holy Ghost to die in the place of elect sinners for 1 Cor 15:3

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

This scripture teaches Christ died for our [the elect] sins, but not a word about the Holy Ghost dying for the sins of the elect.

Isa 53:6

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him [Jesus Christ] the iniquity of us all.

Here, the iniquities of the elect were laid upon him [Jesus Christ] and not the Holy Ghost..

Rom 5: 9 declares Having been Justified [declared righteous] by the blood of Jesus Christ, but not a word about being Justified by the work of the Holy Ghost blood..

Finally Jesus states that the Holy Ghost will not speak of Himself [ draw attention to Himself] but should Glorify Him..Jn 16:13-14

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine [My accomplishment], and shall shew it unto you.

He shall receive of the finished accomplished Justification of Gods elect through Jesus Christ and on their behalf, and shew [ reveal] it to them..

To confuse or mix the Two types of Justification, Legal and experiential[conscious] is fatal.

please explain here your point.

Excellent topic and great thread. God’s power to save us and transform us is linked to His righteousness. Paul says this about the gospel as “the power of God for salvation” Romans 1:16 and, “the righteousness of God has been manifested” in his saving action in the sacrifice of Christ. Many see a dual emphasis on the activity of God to bring about not only our new status as justified, but also the power for a new life of obedience.

Sharing in both Christ’s death and resurrection, believers have “been set free from sin.”

Romans 6:7 For one who has died has been set free from sin. and Vs. 18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness

They are no longer enslaved to sin but free to pursue righteous obedience.

Romans 6:11–13 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.

I just did explain it, didn't you read the entire post ? Its from the context of the post
it didn't make sense with the rest of the Post. Romans 3:25 "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;"

I don't see anywhere in these passages anything about the " ELECT " being justified.

And now you're going to quote from Gal 2:16,17
Gal 2:16,20

16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Now that's the King James version which some believe has a very Calvinistic slant in how it's translated. I see most of all the other Bible versions including the NEW KING JAMES puts it down differently.

".....knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ...." NEWKJ

".....know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too,
have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not..." Gal 2:16 NIV

"....nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ..." Gal 2:16 NASB

Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, Gal 2:16 NLT

I can also refer to 12 other translations which have it FAITH in Christ and not as you put down the Faith of Jesus Christ. So God gave us the gospel but we MUST RESPOND by faith. In other words it's not just an automatic thing of the people not having to choose to respond in faith or to put it another way it's not the way Calvinistic thinkers say that it is.

Yes its always faith in Christ as Jesus taught one must believe IN HIM- not that He believes for us and its His faith that saves us.

That's very good advice, we should always be growing and learning. If we're honest there's a lot of things in the Bible that we don't understand. But as you suggested if we continue seeking God's truth we will find it. "Seek and you will find" "Knocking the door will be opened" "If any man lacks wisdom Let him ask God, Who gives it to all men liberally".

I would be extremely leery of anyone that thought they were right on everything. And getting them to adjust, I wouldn't hold my breath.

The faith of Christ is in the nature of God, which he experienced through setting an example of how to walk in obedience to God's law, and faith in Christ is also in the nature of God, which is experienced through following his example, so the faith of Christ has the same content as faith in Christ.

Sorry but this seems like mumbo jumbo trying to make it seem that God does all of our believing. If not please speak in more simpler terms. Much appreciated if you would. I showed that it's not the faith of Christ that justifies us but our faith IN Christ again stressing OUR faith released in him.

Sorry for not being clear.

In James 2:18, he said that he would show his faith by his works, so Jesus showed his faith by the way the works that he did and we show our faith in him by doing the same works in accordance with his example. So both the faith of Jesus and faith in Jesus is shown by walking in the same way he walked. As such, the debate over whether it is speaking about the faith of Jesus or faith in Jesus is a moot point because it is the same thing either way.

You lost me, I dont know what you talking about, it dont sound like truth though.

You lost me, I dont know what you talking about,
Sorry for losing you, I tried to explain better to @Rockson in post #18.

In Proverbs 3:5-7, we have a choice between leaning on our own understanding of right and wrong by doing what is right in our own eyes or trusting in God with all of our heart to correctly divide between right and wrong through obeying what He has instructed, and He will make our way straight. This is the content of both the faith of Christ that he express through setting a sinless example of how to walk in obedience to what God has instructed and the faith that we have in Christ through following his example.

What God has instructed reveals the way to act in accordance with His nature, which is why the Bible often uses the same terms to describe aspects of God's nature as it does to describe aspects of the nature of God's instructions, such as with them being holy, righteous, and good (Romans 7:12). For example, we can put our faith in the nature of God, such as putting our faith in the righteousness of God to correctly guide us by following His instructions for how to act in accordance with His righteousness or we can choose to do what is right in our own eyes.

it dont sound like truth though.
What God has instructed is truth (Psalms 119:142).
