Is Jesus the Christ a human Person?

Do you have a problem with Stanley saying that orthodoxy teaches that Jesus is not a human person?
I presented a problem which you did not argue against. Either present something coherent or go back to the drawing board. Don't wait for us to do your work. It's your OP. Make it work.

Then keep it. It’s a distortion of what orthodoxy teaches.

None of you, so far, impress me as being serious apologists for orthodoxy.

Every man does what is right in their own eyes. Have you read those words before? Orthodoxy is defined by the Scriptures.

You've spent to much time studying the muzings of men.

Do you know what seminaries do today? They create student who are more concerned with making a name for themselves than to know God.

My focus was on the four questions he asked. This thread is about orthodoxy teaching that Jesus is not a human person.

Now, what about SHURF? You said in post #156 that you will define it. Please do, if you know what the acronym stands for.

You weren’t mistaken. I was.

It wasn’t you. It was @synergy in post #156.

Again, my apologies.

Nothing to apologize for. Contrary to what you might think, I'm not your enemy. I'm just a man. Let God be true and every man a liar. Be convinced in your own mind. Prove yourself. Just make sure it is YOUR MIND. Not someone else.

I can/will not ask for more. That is the most any of us can expect from one another.

Historical orthodox trinitarianism isn’t defined by the scriptures.

I’ve spent time studying Church history.

I’m not the least bit interested, and never have been, in making a name for myself.

This thread is about the teaching of historical orthodox trinitarianism concerning Jesus the Christ.

I like your post and share the premise but you’re fooling yourself if you believe that we aren’t spiritual enemies.

He's got his categories messed up. I can't respond to questions built on false definitions. Sorry. You need to present a coherent OP. Until then, good luck to you.

I said that I would forward a definition if no one offers one. Are you ready to offer one or not? If you don't, you're not going to like my version. I showed it to @civic and he burst out laughing.

I disagree.

I’ve spent time studying Church history.

I have too. What a terrible history. Hardly anyone got along. When they did, it was for their own benefit. Same thing happening today.

I’m not the least bit interested, and never have been, in making a name for myself.

Good.

This thread is about the teaching of historical orthodox trinitarianism concerning Jesus the Christ.

I believe apostasy set in shortly after the death of the apostles. Everything since then has been "suspect" to me.

Act 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Act 20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
Act 20:31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

Apostasy was setting in even before the death of the apostles. It quickly accelerated after they died.

I don't claim spiritual superiority. I don't see the advantage of such claims. While I believe I'm right, I believe such is based upon reason and an exhaustive search for the truth. I don't believe I know it all but I argue as if I do. I expect I'll change more in life. I don't believe I'm through.

However, on this subject.... I extensive debated this for a very long time. It is why I'm not going where you want me to go with it. There is nothing to find their brother. Nothing but misery living in the words of others. I"d rather know Christ and the power of His Resurrection and the peace that comes through having an intimate relationship with Him. I say what I say because I love Him. That is why. I love Him because He has loved me beyond anything I have ever imagined.

Scripture doesn’t say that Jesus is not a human person. Those are the words of others.

There is something to find in the teaching of orthodoxy.

He knows that orthodoxy teaches us that Jesus is not a human person. If you don’t, then just say so.
I'm surprised that you're so willing to go ahead with a discussion based on diametrically opposed definitions. I see that you like getting nowhere fast. Your OP needs to get its act together. Until then, ....

I'll ask @civic first because it is very derogatory. As for your definition, I couldn't care less.

Jesus is not a human person in trinitarian theology. About 9 out of 10 trinitarians don’t know it.

I'll ask @civic first because it is very derogatory.

You won’t hurt my feelings.

@civic, please give him the go code.

As for your definition, I couldn't care less.

You will when you see it.

The Scriptures do not say "Jewish Monotheism" either. I think you know that such an argument doesn't establish anything.

This thread is about the teaching of orthodoxy. There should be no controversy about what it teaches concerning the person of Jesus the Christ.

That depends on what's encapsulated by the terms "person" and "nature", and how the following are categorized: "body", "soul", "spirit", etc...

That's why I don't put much credence in questionnaires that are poorly defined and categorized.

Very much in line with what Dizerner forwarded.

Orthodoxy defines the terms of its teaching.

If it’s “very much in line with what @dizerner posted” then post it. I want to see your donkey show.
