If everyone had perfect recall and everyone read every post then perhaps you might have a point

But seeing as those are doubtful, repetition is called for when there is a post which is contrary to what is believed regarding libertarian free will

Okay cool Tom whatever makes you happy:)

You failed to deal with the scriptures

Sorry no one is made alive who does not believe

John 20:31 (KJV)
31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

John 5:40 (KJV)
40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

Acts 11:18 (KJV)
18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

John 6:53 (ESV) — 53 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.

John 6:57 (KJV)
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
The word of Salvation is sent to the regenerated elect, who have a heart prepared to receive it. All those verses refer to the regenerated elect/Sheep

In a man made theology
Not trying to ruffle your feathers but aren't they all?

Theology, philosophically oriented discipline of religious speculation and apologetics that is traditionally restricted, because of its origins and format, to Christianity but that may also encompass, because of its themes, other religions, including especially Islam and Judaism.

There is biblical theology

You failed miserably to prove that his mother sinned. I wouldn't feel bad about that because you're in the company of billions who have done just that.

Also by holding on to your desire that human nature is sinful, you are in fact claiming that Jesus is also sinful since he took on the very nature we all possess.

Sorry. There must be some exhaustive history of Mary's entire life of which I am unaware.

Theology is the study of God. So the question is who and what is God like ? We find out by reading what God has declared about Himself in Scripture. We read what Jesus said about the Father and what He taught us to be like as His followers. When we see Jesus we see who and what God is like and how He interacts with sinners. There are many "misconceptions" about who/what God is like in many systematics, denominations, christianity, RC, protestant reformers, ECF's etc..........

One for example is God is to Holy to look upon sin, be in the presence of sin or with sinners. Tell Jesus that lol. There are many many more misconceptions about God too. This is just one or many.

hope this helps !!!

Yes that definitely helps. Also note that attempts to go beyond the original writings to reconstruct the oral tradition behind them are the province of the form of biblical criticism known as tradition criticism better known as man-made theology.

I was informed yesterday by one of the members that you were a Calvinist for 40 years and were able to walk away from it. I'd love to hear about that. Is that posted anywhere on this forum?

So here is what happened. Like the example I gave above about "misconceptions" about God within "Christendom" about sin, the sinner and God I started asking many other questions about what I have been taught from the pulpit and from many books I read and things I had believed about God and took for granted they were true "assumptions/ presuppositions " about God.

This led me into the whole sin/sinner issue about God and I started questioning who/what God is like with such things as the gospel and the atonement.

One of the things I began to question was God, the sinner/sins and the atonement. PSA ( Penal Substitution Atonement ) is one of those things I took a deep dive into and it led me into writing a thesis paper on the topic. In turn with my search for truth it led me out of believing PSA. From there I questioned the other things I had believed which was TULIP. When I lined up PSA with Gods character, nature, attributes it did not line up and I found out the same things with TULIP. PSA was developed by those who believed TULIP- the 2 go hand in hand together as a package, a systematic theology.

Here is my paper below. I'm still working on it and will be expanding all my points with many more references in support.

Thanks for taking the time to share that with me I'll definitely take a look at your paper. There's are few things about Calvinism that I have a problem with myself. But I'm sure that's true with every man-made theology.

Yes indeed truer words have never been spoken lol.

As @Bob Carabbio says: every chitlin has a theology. :)

The word of Salvation is sent to the regenerated elect, who have a heart prepared to receive it.

The regenerate elect shall hear [spiritually] and believe, thats Gods purpose Acts 15:7

7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
