this could be also yes..many reasons.Okay.
Or maybe need to out of fear that they do not understand so simply acquiescent to agree without standing for their own point of view

As many reasons as the diverse beliefs in this forum (and others)this could be also yes..many reasons.
sad but trueAs many reasons as the diverse beliefs in this forum (and others)
GOD told Rebecca they were trying to crush each other to pieces over who would be first born and the leader of the family. That defines what they knew pretty well. Since this activity is sinful, they were sinners in the womb and so enslaved to sin, all their thoughts colored by their sin.Jacob and Esau didn't know anything about "Hebrew politics". They fought each other as rivals, not because they knew or understood right and wrong.
So you say...but why do you deny Psalms as scripture? 2 Timothy 3:16-17, which states that "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness."Psalms is not the place to go to get doctrinal foundations.
Sorry - I can't follow you in this....The death spoken of here is spiritual death, not physical.
But, but, but saving faith a gift of grace from GOD against their sinful will !!! If they are saved by their own will, choice, then they saved themselves and can boast! Your statement seems to be wobbly at best.He offered ransom for all
but only those who recieve him are saved
Two questions if I may.Just my 2 cents and a slightly different angle to help you get to where you should be by now.
Jesus died for all men. TRUE.
But Jesus' death was for a ransom, if I can describe it that way, because Scripture repeatedly uses the concept of “ransom” to describe how Jesus’ sacrificial death pays the debt humanity owes because of sin.
But if one does not have the FAITH... BELIEF in who Jesus is and what He has done therein lies the problem because they then shall not be one of Jesus sheep.
Remember when Jesus said he was sent for only the lost sheep of Israel.. Guess what. Not all of the lost followed Him, even at that point.
This is truly simplicity at its finest because Jesus was sent to be our.... yours, @GodsGrace and even my savior . The HMMM... can I call them invitations went out, and it was up to each to accept or reject.
Jesus said in John 6 :37 " All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away"
That does not mean that whoever God predestined from before time but it means that we with the faith God will give to the Son
and the ransom will be considered paid on the cross.
There are those, even to this day that want no part of that. You could drag them to face Jesus on the cross and they will turn their backs.... One did that we know of.... The one thief. Yet the other embraced Him.
Just awe-inspiring beautiful simplicity in the Fathers plan. It does not take an Einstein, rocket scientist, or even an Elon Musk to understand.
The minds of children are clear ... why do ours get so muddled when we grow up.... correction... we never grow up, we age?

It is the work of God we believe. God gets the glory. But, but, but saving faith a gift of grace from GOD against their sinful will !!! If they are saved by their own will, choice, then they saved themselves and can boast! Your statement seems to be wobbly at best.
NothingTwo questions if I may.
If Christ paid it all then what do you still owe?
When is one given to the Son by the Father?
What you describe is civil war (two people contesting over a single government). But that is not what God told Rebekah was going on.GOD told Rebecca they were trying to crush each other to pieces over who would be first born and the leader of the family. That defines what they knew pretty well. Since this activity is sinful, they were sinners in the womb and so enslaved to sin, all their thoughts colored by their sin.
I didn't deny Psalms as Scripture. I said it is not a good place to go for the foundation of your doctrine. Because it is very highly figurative, poetic, and flowery in the language used.So you say...but why do you deny Psalms as scripture?
John 5:24 says that those who have faith in Jesus will pass from death to life. They were dead and come back to life through faith in Jesus.Sorry - I can't follow you in this....
Jn 3:18
Berean Standard Bible
Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
Whoever believes in Him is not condemned but they all surely die for their sins, elect and reprobate equally. Spiritual death is therefore the death for those who have never believed, the reprobate only. Death comes to all sinners and sinners only or where is the justice??
Doublethink refers to the act of simultaneously accepting two contradictory beliefs as true. It's the ability to hold conflicting ideas in one's mind and accept them both,It is the work of God we believe. God gets the glory.
All we have to do is in faith receive his gift
Sorry bro but the tax collector showing to call out to Jesus was not him saving himselfDoublethink refers to the act of simultaneously accepting two contradictory beliefs as true. It's the ability to hold conflicting ideas in one's mind and accept them both,
@TedT its sad you think God loving me enough to offer me his salvation is a sad thing.Nothing
I have to freely receive what he offers
Or reject what he offers
Riiiiiight, fighting over politics with no knowledge of political things.... got it.He told her that the leaders of two separate nations were within her. And they were fighting even within her. But that does not mean that they were knowledgeable of government, or sin, or any such thing.
What politics? They were fighting between themselves. They would not become nations until after their deaths. Even when Jacob went to Egypt, he had only 70 people with him. That isn't a nation. You are extrapolating "politics" out of sibling rivalry.Riiiiiight, fighting over politics with no knowledge of political things.... got it.
ImCo:Sorry bro but the tax collector showing to call out to Jesus was not him saving himself
The Pharisee choosing to pump his chest and not call out on the other hand kept him condemned
Jesus said he who believes is not condemned
I never said it was our ability or own strength. It’s the work of GodImCo:
being brought to the point of feeling it necessary to call out to the saviour is very much a part of GOD's grace, and is not within the ordinary ability of a sinner who's love for sin has him to deny the truth, both of his sinfulness and the need for a saviour, like men who know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things are worthy of death, they not only continue to do these things, but also approve of those who practice them.
ImCo,I never said it was our ability or own strength. It’s the work of God
Then God is a liarImCo,
an evil person cannot accept the Spirit of GOD by his own will.
It is Gods will that all come to repentance. His acceptance of GOD's call to faith by faith is by GOD's will, not his own.
Accepting someone salvation is not somethign we can boast in, unless we worked ourselfHe has no boast in the least because he has NO involvement in his own salvation in any way ! even by accepting it!!!
I was wicked. Yet God drew me for months.. until I finally called out..The wicked reject the truth, knowing they are damned BECAUSE THEY ARE GIVEN NO GRACE TO BELIEVE or to accept the truth they know to be truth over the sin they love, Romans 1...
Two questions if I may.
If Christ paid it all then what do you still owe?
When is one given to the Son by the Father?
Then you misinterpret what HE has said...Then God is a liar
