Women in Ministry

No leadership role.
I recall reading about this one passage about a scroll at the end of the world, whoever ate it would die.

However, in the translation I was reading it was called a roll instead of a scroll, so I had an amusing thought that there would be this loaf of bread flying through the sky. And anyone who ate of the flying bread would die.

It's funny looking back.

I was reminded of this because of the use of the word "role."

Thanks for that.

we lost our original body made by God because of adam
Romans 8:19 "For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God." Romans 8:20 "For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope," Romans 8:21 "Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God."

But I'm talking about in leadership roles and being in authority.
In Jeremiah, it was obvious that the men were puppets that their wives spoke through.

Not sure what the difference is.

If people are gifted as leaders, they'll still lead.

Best to not encourage deceptive behavior.

Its, "care less."
Not, "careless."

And, "careless?"
Correct! That, you are!

That just does not seem right together.

Like woman in a pulpit does not belong there.... 👠👠+ 🪖

Acts 10:38 "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him."

That is not the baptism with the Holy Spirit.
The first instance of this took place in Acts 2:4 (cf. Acts 1:5).

Nor is it an example of your phony distinction with the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

No one asserts such madness except you.

did the Lord Jesus perform any works before then........ if so please post the scripture. the same way the apostles. did peter heal one PERSON before he got the Holy Spirit, if so please post the scripture.

if you cannot post any scripture as to the above, then you're reproved. as Hebrews 5:12 states, "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat."

Fred, get off the Similac ..... ok.

You are careless when it comes to understanding the Bible.
so we can take this as U have no bible verse to work with. HEADSTART is now open.

Joel 2:28 "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:" Joel 2:29 "And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit."

Fred, this is a good HEADSTART scripture for U. get the basic understanding of these verses, and then we will whip u into shape for learning. ...... 🤭 Master the basic FIRST...... a Little MILK will do good for U now...... :coffee: coffee any one.... Oh sorry Milk..... (smile). Oh dear.

@Fred, another basic understanding of pastors. Question: Pastors, that are in the body of Christ, (the church). are they, A. Called. B. Sent, or C. Given? I’m speaking biblically of pastors.

before you answer please READ, and UNDERSTAND Jeremiah 3:15 "And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding"

now the question to understand Fred, "How are Pastors are "GIVEN?"......... (smile). your answer please. Oh My, and Oh Dear, can't wait to hear this answer.

HEADSTART for those who do not KNOW or UNDERSTAND in the "WORK"/Spiritual Gift of Pastor. notice God said, "And I will give you pastors according to mine heart". heart is the center of anyone, "Spirit", and God is "Spirit". meaning one must be in, in, in, him in order to WORK.
Pastor are GIVEN in, in, in, Christ Jesus. THIS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH BEING SAVE, BUT THOSE WHO ARE ALREADY SAVED AND ARE IN CHRIST "GIVEN" WORK TO DO, (Just read the parable of the vineyard workers). and this WORK is done by the LORD JESUS, GOD himself, in his BODY. for we are to present our bodies unto the Lord for his WORK, as living sacrifices. supportive scripture. John 10:1 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber." John 10:2 "But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep." John 10:3 "To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out." John 10:4 "And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice." John 10:5 "And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers." John 10:6 "This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them." John 10:7 "Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep." John 10:8 "All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them." John 10:9 "I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture." John 10:10 "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:11 "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep." John 10:12 "But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep." John 10:13 "The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep." John 10:14 "I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine." John 10:15 "As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep." John 10:16 "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." John 10:17 "Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again." John 10:18 "No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father."

Fred, here is some basic food to nibble on...... do U understand what is being said here? if not just ask..... (smile).

HEADSTART II
Jeremiah 3:15 "And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding"

here we see in the old testament pastors are given (a gift). what about the new testament? Ephesian 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ”.

101G.

HEADSTART III, the prophet that "Preach"
To all.
Word Power, Definitions
#1. Prophesy this is a Hebrew word, H5012 נָבָא naba' (naw-baw') v.
1. to prophesy, i.e. speak (or sing) by inspiration (in prediction or simple discourse)
[a primitive root]
KJV: prophesy(-ing), make self a prophet.

Joel 2:28 "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:"

was they not already preaching/speaking in the OT of "Shiloh" the Messiah who came? let's check the record. Luke 2:36 "And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;" Luke 2:37 "And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day." Luke 2:38 "And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem."

there is that term "Spake", which here is the Greek word,
G2980 λαλέω laleo (lal-ye'-ō) v.
to talk, i.e. speak words.
[a prolonged form of an otherwise obsolete verb]
KJV: preach, say, speak (after), talk, tell, utter

Bingo, another female PREACHER in the OT, right under your noses.

101G.

2 Corinthians 11:12-14

And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want
an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. For such people
are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan
himself masquerades as an angel of light."

.............

so U acknowledge U have no clue to Joel 2:28 & 29? thought so.

101G.

Peter said that for a reason. Perter was meaning to the effect... "like' seen in Joel 2:28-29.
Not that it was the same thing...
Peter cited Joel to give the Jews watching a point of reference to know it was from God.

For look what Joel said..

Joel 2:28-29
“And it shall come to pass afterward
That I will pour out My Spirit [on] all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions.
And also on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit for the Church is different.

The Spirit is not "on" us like Joel speaks of.

Joel was written for Jews who will be alive on earth during the Millennium.

For the Church age?

Instead of the Spirit being on us? The Spirit takes up residences INSIDE us to indwell us permanently!
That is why it says our bodies have become temples of the Holy Spirit!

At Pentecost when they spoke in tongues? The Spirit inside was working outwardly nad filling them.

Romans 8:9a

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. "
1 Corinthians 3:16

Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

Peter only cited Joel 2:28-29 to stabilize those watching and to give the Jews a point of reference from the OT to show how God can work!

grace and peace .............
