Who is the creator

John says the Word is the HE ! “All things were created by him, and without him nothing was made that has been made.”

Doug
It as well says-It was accomplished-THROUGH him. That means 100% another did it.

Sigh......
“The Father is the source, the Word is the agent — but creation is the act of one God, not one God using another.”

John 1:3 does not say “God made things by the Word as a tool.”

It says ......“All things came into being through Him.”

Your morning Greek lesson......

In Greek, διά (dia) means by means of, through the agency of , not as a created instrument, but as the acting divine agent.

Hebrews 1:2 uses the same language.....“Through whom He made the worlds.”

IMPORTANT... YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THIS!!!!!

So the Father didn’t draw plans and hand them to a creature.
The Father expressed His will, and God the Word performed it just like your mind and your speech are not two beings, but one person acting.

Another way to view this that is easier to remember.....

“The Father willed creation; the Word executed it — but only God creates. So if the Word created all things, the Word is God.”

Jesus taught the Father was in heaven, while he was on Earth. = Our Father who art in heaven hallowed be your( not ours) name=YHVH(Jehovah)
Here is Jesus back in heaven, sitting at Gods right hand-Rev 3:12--Stressing to all 4 x in a single paragraph that he has a God. Best to believe Jesus.
Well, sin the Holy Spirit is in us, there is no need for Him to have a seat anywhere..... YET.

Your theology is the most confused I have ever heard.

Is God the author of confusion.....

YES or NO

Satan is called ἐν οἷς ὁ θεὸς τοῦ αἰῶνος, “the God (ὁ θεὸς, ho Theos) of this world” because the world is obedient to Satan’s commands.

Doug
Actually Ho (the) is the first word of the paragraph, not The God- The god.
  • John 1:1: "the Word was God".
  • John 20:28: Thomas declares, "My Lord and my God!".
  • Titus 2:13: "our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ".
  • 2 Peter 1:1: "our God and Saviour, Jesus Christ".
  • Hebrews 1:8: "But about the Son he says, 'Your throne, O God, will last forever'".
  • Romans 9:5: "Christ, who is God over all, praised forever".
Doug
I see many Catholicism errors to fit false council teachings. Many bad teachings came in back then.

Lets see the author of Confusion= Catholicism( 2Thess 2:3) and her hundreds of branches using her translating to fit false council teachings.
God fixing it in these last days. Translation fixed( New world translation) The JW,s= a worldwide brotherhood, unified in love, peace and unity.
Looks to me like one is the narrow path that leads off into life. The other, the broad and spacious path that leads to destruction.

Actually Ho (the) is the first word of the paragraph, not The God- The god.
ἐν οἷς ὁ θεὸς τοῦ αἰῶνος τούτου ἐτύφλωσεν τὰ νοήματα τῶν ἀπίστων εἰς τὸ μὴ αὐγάσαι τὸν φωτισμὸν τοῦ εὐαγγελίου τῆς δόξης τοῦ Χριστοῦ, ὅς ἐστιν εἰκὼν τοῦ Θεοῦ.

What is the first word of the sentence?

Doug

#1 - JESUS is the WORD that was God and became flesh and dwelt among us = Gospel TRUTH

#2 - JESUS created Michael the arch angel.

#3 - Michael worships his Creator = the Lord Jesus Christ
That thing about creating all that has been created creates a caveat with which he cannot contend.

Doug

He is always #2 as Michael or Jesus.
Is not what the Bible teaches

There was never a time when Christ “was Michael.”

Michael is a created angel. Jesus is the eternal Son. They are not the same being.

Do you even know what The Bible calls Michael????????????

Daniel 10:13 tells us when he says " “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia."

That phrase alone proves Michael is one among others, not unique. He is One of many, A prince among princes,
and A high-ranking angel. When Rev 12:7 says And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. Revelation 12:7 confirms this by telling us “Michael and his angels fought…”
Michael has angels under him but he is not their creator.

We know Jesus was the creator of all angels. Common sense should tell you that if Jesus created all angels…
Michael cannot be Jesus.

Otherwise Jesus would have created Himself which is impossible.doh.gif

Do you understand that you are a triune being? So is God.
A statement of truth, truly stated and truer words were never spoken.

Most do not understand this. About us being tripartite.

I hope you hear from the one you addressed this to because it makes a huge difference in understanding

That’s what I thought, but I had never heard it termed as “triune being”.

Doug
So is God. Col. 2:9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;

This is why God is one. And why Jesus is God. I understand a triune being God, but not three separate persons, just as I am not three people, but was made in their image. 'Their' is plural, as is Elohim.

Three in one means three persons in one nature of being. Just as we are all individuals but are one in nature of being, human, they are three who are distinct persons who are God. That’s Paul’s purpose in saying about Jesus, “Who being in nature God… emptied himself and became a servant….”

We are created in their image in many ways, and our being body , soul, and spirit reflects the essence of the Trinity.

I have discovered in scripture that our spirit is our mind. Our soul is our heart/conscious/emotions. And, of course, our body is like a floppy puppet that is controlled by our spirit and soul, the puppet masters. It is not our body that is the source of our sin as taught by many church fathers, but our nature, the spirit and soul. This error in the Church is why a doctrine of demons has arisen that we will not be free of sin until our body dies, is resurrected and changed. NO! When we die we remain in the same condition of sin, or lack of sin, that we died in. Revelation 22:11. It is our nature that must be born again of the Spirit now, not our body.

What do you believe in regards to the "old man" of Romans 6:5-7, Paul calls "the flesh" in Romans 7:5-6 and Romans 8:9 which was our sin nature, but is now clean if born again, John 15:3?

It is Jesus, the creator, that does this recreation - the Author and Finisher of our faith.

The sin nature cannot be cleansed, it must be done away with (Rom 6:6), replaced, removed. The Wesleyan tradition, of which I am a part, calls this entire sanctification. We will always be capable of sin, but the heart’s desires can be set free from sin’s control so that “we are no longer obligated to the sinful nature” but we must choose who we will follow, the Spirit of the sinful nature. (Rom 8:12-13)
