The Old Covenant:
The Jews were like a caterpillar restricted and protected by the Cocoon of the Law.
On the Cross that Cocoon was torn in half. (Matthew 27:51)
And out from it? Emerged a Butterfly.
That Butterfly is what we now call the Church.
The First Covenant was for instructing the "Cocoon life" of Jews.
A life to be lived while on earth in time.
The New Covenant is now offered for all who want it.
That being, anyone whom God makes "airborne" being able to be flying in the Spirit after tasting the Lord is good..
Why, to the Jew first? Only during the beginning of the Church that was applicable.
Why?
The Jews as a people were taught Scripture from childhood, and already knowing a great deal
of Scripture that applied to the promises for the church.
Because of that? Concerning the Jew? The Spirit borne life Paul was given to make the mystery
known, was to be first presented to the Jew... For, Jews having known much OT Scripture?
They would learn the quickest from Paul and be able to make application.
But, that did not last for long. For the gentile church spread rapidly throughout Rome
while many Jews resisted.
To the Jew first? Only then to the Gentile?
To first teach the Jewish convert insight about what Jews already knew from the Torah.
But, it is no longer needing to be that way as it was in the very beginning.
For, later on, all had been given Scripture via the epistles, as well as learning
from the Torah from those who could teach it.
