The work of God is for YOU TO BELIEVE

Scripture is written for the regenerated sheep to believe, and believing in Christ is given to the sheep
You ignored the scripture

This is why scripture is written here

John 20:31 (KJV 1900) — 31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

sorry but it is by believing you might have life

and it refutes your theology

BTW

Phillipians is not speaking of an uncondition irresistible force but the work of the gospel and spiritual truth

Actually it does, you just cant accept it. Believing is for the quickened
1 John 5:13 (KJV 1900) — 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Clearly one believes that he might have eternal life

Not to correct you @TomL but technically I think you should say in stead of might... are permitted as may definiton is you are permitted... not might. It is a definitive word and speaks to the subject that those who believe in the name of the Son of God are permitted to know they have eternal life.

It is just me... but given the subject here... our side need a certain surity that we will have eternal life... not just might.

Excuse the budding in...

No problem. We can believe we have eternal life when we believe in the Son of God
