The Hypostatic Union- the 2 Natures in Christ

He didn't 'acquire' His second nature, He has always been the same, yesterday, today and forever. He only needed a body to become as a human person.

Hebrews 10:5
Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me.
Are you saying that Christ always had a created human soul?

How about his personhood? Did he "become as a human person" in addition to his Divine Personhood so that he's actually two persons?

Amazing what we are reading from “ professing “ Trinitarians . The unbiblical idea The eternal God always had 2 natures.

They don’t understand anthropomorphic language. God has eyes, ears, hands etc lol.

The dual natures of Jesus is essential to implement God’s purpose in the gospel of the grace of God. Christ could not die unless he was a man, yet Christ could not die for our sins unless he was God. Learn about the true nature of God and how if Jesus was God at all he had to be fully God and always God.

This is the first part of a series on the Natures of Jesus Christ.

You can start right here ans see if this is a "heretical doctrine" or that you-and me are not 100 % correct in rightly dividing the Scriptures.

Only thing I ask of you is to listen to these teachings BEFORE giving me a scholarly reply.

The son has 2 natures post Incarnation not pre Incarnation.

Do you also believe He had 2 natures before being conceived by the Holy Spirit in Mary’s womb ? Yes or no

So then you agree with gene and sawdust and reject the orthodox and biblical Trinity. Since you affirm and agree with every post in this thread by them I can only assume when you give their posts a thumbs up you are in agreement with them and not the orthodox, historical , biblical trinitarians on the forum like @TibiasDad @praise_yeshua @Fred @Rockson @synergy @makesends @Obadiah @Administrator @Predestined @PeanutGallery @atpollard @armylngst @Behold @DerAlte @ezra @Grace ambassador @Jamie Russell CME @jeremiah1five @Joe @mailmandan @PapaLandShark @Studyman @SteveB @S.T.Ranger @TheLayman @WCF @5solas just to name a few.

I'm not listening to a broadcast there or being forced to download anything on my computer to read. If that site is not willing to upload what they teach for everyone to read then I'm not interested in what they have to say.

Plus I have 2 entire shelfs with most every recommended scholar on the Trinity and 2 natures in Christ in hardbound copies that I have read and use as references from pier reviewed Theologians. Besides those hardbound copies I have every available resource from Logos and Biblesoft. I own their scholars reference works on both programs with 1000's of books.

hope this helps !!!

Praise God and our Lord Jesus Christ for @Grace ambassador and @GeneZ.
I praise the Tri-Unity Of the One God- the Shema who is Immutable, Eternal, Impeccable and most of all Loving. :) as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God who has One Nature/Mind/Will as the Tri-Unity- Indivisible as One Unified Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

lets see who can digest or choke on the above. :) gerber or meat.

Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
For the edification of everyone, how does John 1:14 support your belief of whether or not Jesus had 2 natures before the Incarnation?

It's not crystal clear which side of the debate you're on.

I wasn't asking about Christ, so there was no need to raise the issue of Christ's impeccability. I was asking about how man is created, dichotomous/trichotomous.

And as I pointed out with scripture, the word divides them so how can they be the same thing?

I refuse to validate your answer because I see in scripture something that causes me to question your answer. Just because you can't see the distinction doesn't mean there isn't one. The word says there is a distinction. Try looking harder.

If all Scripture is true, and there are Scriptures that treat them equally, then your argument is false. You're looking for distinction when there is possibly not one to be seen. My answer was valid. I've discussed this issue for decades. I'm not dogmatic about it either way. I'm not dogmatic about it because I know the evidence. I lean to trichotomy but I have no "beef" with those who don't. I don't need to look harder.

As far as Hebrews 4:12.... check out one of my websites. I have the most accurate translation of Hebrews 4:12 to be found...on the front page :)

Hebrews 4:12 is most probably dealing with how the Scriptures chasen believers. Not mankind that is not born again. As such, you're not dealing exclusive with natural man.

Notice the appeal to "us" in verse 11 and the appeal to "neither" in vs 13. (which establishes a contrast to vs 12)
