The Gospel Of Salvation

@Selah

No, Paul wasn’t a believer initially. That’s why the Lord had to knock him down off his horse to get his attention. God pretty much told Paul, “hey you, you’re mine” and Paul instantly converted.

Right because he was a sheep that Christ gave Himself for Gal 2:20

20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

The life of faith comes out of the fact that Christ loved him and gave Himself for him, and so it is with all the Sheep, they also will be converted .

Also in the original, the " i am crucified with Christ" its actually " i was crucified with Christ" as was all for whom He died. The phrase is Perfect Passive Indicative , he was in the past once and for all crucified with Christ with the results true inn the present !

I don’t think you could explain how a person becomes saved.

Only unbelievers that shall believe are the Sheep, if they never believe, its because they were not Sheep Jn 10:26

26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

According to Jesus, why do some people not believe ?
You ignored the fact any unbelievers is spoken of

John 12:47 (KJV 1900) — 47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

again you do not read nor do you attempt an understanding of the verse

Why it is you are always running from scripture?

The sheep hear their Shepherd’s voice—Jesus Christ. They belong to Him. Even the lost sheep will run to their Shepherd when they hear the Gospel. Why? because they were chosen before the foundation of the world.

Ephesians 1:1-6 (KJV) 1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: 2 Grace [be] to you, and peace, from God our Father, and [from] the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [places] in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Hello @Selah,

The truth revealed in Ephesians 1:1-6 is wonderful isn't it?

Praise God! For His mercy and His grace.

Hello @brightfame52,

I looked back in the thread to see where this reference to 'sheep' began, and it began with yourself, in reply #839, in response to @TomL's entries #833 & #834.

* In John's gospel the subject of, 'The Good Shepherd', begins in chapter 10 with the parable of 'The Shepherd', in verses 1-5, followed by an expansion and application which goes to verse 18. (See also 10:24-29 also 21:15-19.)

* The response of the Jews who heard Him was mixed.

'There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.
And many of them said,
"He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?"
Others said,
"These are not the words of him that hath a devil.
Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?
"

(Joh 10:19-21)

* Division, Division - always division! Oh for the day when we will all just be praising God for His goodness and His grace.

In Christ Jesus
Chris

@brightfame52 will not understand the word any. To him the any will apply to any one who is a sheep or of the elect. To him I am sure he feels that Jesus saying "for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world", likely means the sheep and the elect are exempt from judgement in this world.

If only @brightfame52 understood what it means to be of the elect.frown - Copy.gif

'But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty,
not walking in craftiness,
nor handling the word of God deceitfully;

but by manifestation of the truth
commending ourselves to every man's conscience
in the sight of God.'

(2 Cor. 4:2 KJV)

'But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways.
We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God's word,
but by the open statement of the truth
we would commend ourselves to everyone's conscience
in the sight of God.'

(2 Cor. 4:2 ESV)

Hello @brightfame52,

Please look back over your entries, for you are handling the word of God deceitfully in your attempt to establish what you perceive to be truth.

It is transparently obvious to anyone viewing, and you will one day be so ashamed. Hopefully sooner rather than later, for your own sake, and for the sake of those who may be influenced by you.

It is so easy to see the mote in another persons eye, I pray that I will not be blind to the plank in my own.
