The Elect

Then GOD chose and caused our sin and their reprobation...the only thing I can think of that offsets this blasphemy is that we became the sinful elect or the reprobate by our own free will response to HIS proclamation, Col 1:23, of HIS deity and to being our only saviour from sin, ie, HIS gospel.

HIS sovereignty serves and fulfills HIS loving, righteous and just nature, not the other way round...
God created the reprobate to punish them for their sins, before they existed to sin. It pleased Him to do that.

Not quite. You can manipulate your mind to want different things, but you still want what you want. The fact that you thus are one of the causes why you want what you want, does no more than to 'kick the [causal] can down the road a bit further.'
sorry in Calvinism God determines all your desires

If God merely foresaw human events, and did not also arrange and dispose of them at his pleasure, there might be room for agitating the question, how far his foreknowledge amounts to necessity; but since he foresees the things which are to happen, simply because he has decreed that they are so to happen, it is vain to debate about prescience, while it is clear that all events take place by his sovereign appointment.
(John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapter 23, Paragraph 6)

God from all eternity, did, by the most wise and holy counsel of His own will, freely, and unchangeably ordain whatsoever comes to pass:

The Westminster Confession of Faith (Oak Harbor, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc., 1996).

Ha! Now you use my reasoning!

The fact he did not demonstrates his decree always comes to pass, to include his promises.

The fact he "almost did" do it, demonstrates that your equating God's love with that he demands of us: You, by implication in quoting the text, posit that God's love "does not seek its own".

Reminds me of the argument that God is not jealous, when the Bible explicitly says he is!
God does not decree all moral evil

James 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. 14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.

1John 2:16 For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.

Jer. 32:35 They built the high places of Baal in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to offer up their sons and daughters to Molech, though I did not command them, nor did it enter into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

Is. 30:1 “Ah, stubborn children,” declares the LORD,
“who carry out a plan, but not mine,
and who make an alliance, but not of my Spirit,
that they may add sin to sin;

Gal. 5:7 You were running well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? 8 This persuasion is not from him who calls you.

1Cor. 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Rom. 11:23 And even they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again.

If you believe in a jesus that died for all mankind toe to toe, and many go to hell, its not the Jesus of scripture who died for and saved exclusively His Sheep, His People Matt 1:21
You deny what scripture states

Those are exclusively the elect

I have the solution to this dilemma:

Free-willers: Preach the gospel to everyone. Hopefully some will believe it of their own free will.

Election and predestination: Preach the gospel to everyone. God may use it to save the elect.

Bottom line: Stop arguing and preach the gospel to everyone.
