The 5 Articles of Remonstrance (Arminianism)

FALLEN human nature is intrinsically sinful.

Agree.

Obviously Adam and Eve were not intrinsically sinful, that's slanderous to God.

Also true IMO.

But keep in mind :

1. A&E were created as adults, living in Paradise, in the presence of the Lord, with very few needs in comparison with us.

2. We on the other hand are born as babies, with zillion of needs in a broken world and fallen creation, away from the presence of the Lord.

3. We never had the same chance as A&E in Paradise and withstand the temptation of the devil.

This is very offensive to us, naturally.

It drives a lot of false doctrines.

Some excerpts from an article by Ephraim Clark {Justification by Grace, 1751} About arminianism and its dangers:

First. The Arminian scheme opposes the free grace of God in predestinating a definite number of chosen sinners to be heirs of salvation, without being moved to this election by any regard either to their good or bad works. The Arminian doctrine is contrary to Holy Scripture. “For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth; it was said unto her, the elder shall serve the younger. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid!” {Rom.9:11-13} So that that scheme which denies the sovereign and free grace of God in the election of some to everlasting life, while others were left; and which, agreeable to such denial, does assert the doctrine of universal redemption, as the Arminian scheme most surely does, is very contrary to, and reflects significantly on the truth of God

No matter who was placed in that situation in the Garden, the SAME result would take place.

Do you know why?

Because people are no darn good (and God placed a thumb on the scale)?

People are "no good" only AFTER Sin entered the world/us.

Please return to the question - thank you
No, I will not return. You asked a question and I offered an answer to the question.

Your only options are to "accept" or "reject" my answer.
You cannot compel me to keep "guessing" until you approve of my answer.

Caio.

lol

You need a bowl of ice cream = chill
Hopefully SOME of the intended humor came through.

I was serious that "that was my answer", but I am just moving on with life rather than looking for a dog to kick. ;)
