Scripture teaches that Jesus was not involved in his resurrection

No one in the Bbile said Jesus resurrected himself. Means he isn't God and the Trinity is false.

What Jesus said about his resurrection in John 2:19-21, he was simply being prophetic of what would happen to him. This is why John 2:22 is written in the passive voice, "When therefore he was raised from the dead..." to clarify that the subject "Jesus" did not perform the action of resurrection.

After Jesus died, no one said anything about Jesus being invovled in his resurrection. He was powerless to resurrect hismelf because he isn't God. Jesus begged and prayed to God to be saved from eternal death and God did it for him according to Acts 2:24, Hebrews 5:7, etc.

Jesus died, God did not die, God raised Jesus from the dead.

Acts 2:24
"But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him."
Acts 2:32
"God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it."
Acts 3:15
"You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this."
Acts 4:10
"Then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead..."
Acts 5:30
"The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead—whom you killed by hanging him on a cross."
Acts 10:40
"But God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen."
Acts 13:30
"But God raised him from the dead..."
Romans 4:24-25
"...but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification."
Romans 6:4
"...just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."
Romans 8:11
"And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you..."
Galatians 1:1
"Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead..."
Ephesians 1:20
"...he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms..."
Colossians 2:12
"...you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead."
1 Thessalonians 1:10
"...to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath."
1 Peter 1:21
"Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him..."

In John 2:19 Jesus said He would do it. This means He was being prophetic of what He would cause to happen to Himself.
Apostle John didn't believe what you do... he spoke about Jesus' words regarding resurrection in the passive voice, meaning he didn't believe Jesus acted on himself to raise himself from the dead. Had John believed Jesus was involved in his own resurrection, he would have said "When Jesus raised himself from the dead" but did not.

It would be nonsense to speak of the person who did the action in the third person and the passive voice. Therefore John didn't believe what you do.

John 2
22When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.

Paul also didn't believe Jesus resurrected himself. Paul spoke of God the Father as the singular one who raised Jesus immediately. Means he didn't believe more than one person was involved in the resurrection:

Galatians 1:1
"Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead..."

"I will raise it up" (John 2:19).

Runningman comes bumbling along and says, "No, you won't raise yourself up."

Pitiful nonsense on your part.
After that, Scripture teaches Jesus wasn't involved in his resurrection. That's why I pointed out it was a prophecy.

If you disagree it's a prophecty, now you need to put your Bible where you mouth is. Where is the verse about Jesus resurrecting himself after he died?

Bogus since Jesus also says no man takes His life, I lay down my life.

According to your logic that was prophetic and He didn’t do what He said He would do. This is the exact same claim only one has to do with Him dying and the other raised from the dead. In both cases Jesus did exactly what He promised He would do.

1- lay down His own life
2- raise back His own life from the grave.

hope this helps !!!

So that's a prophecy since there is no Scripture about Jesus doing it. Book, chapter, and verse please where Jesus switched bodies and came back and resurrected his original body.

strawman alert. there was no switching bodies and you are also making an argument from silence fallacy.

Seems your strategy is to accuse me of the very thing you're doing. I just debunked the idea of Jesus resurrecting himself using Scripture. So far in this thread I have only seen people trying to downplay it and avoid it.

The Bible does not have a post mortem Jesus resurrecting himself. This is absolutely a major theological problem for Trinitarianism.

Yeah, so?

"I will raise it up" (John 2:19).
Elijah said he would make it rain in 1 Kings 17. Did Elijah control the weather or did God?
Your "jesus" is pitifully weak.
Those who crucified him thought the same thing. Don't worry, he will judge for you that some day. His Daddy doesn't like people who hate His son either.

Thanks for proving my point.
God worked through Elijah, so Elijah can't be discounted in what took place.

You are attempting to eradicate Jesus in the resurrection of Himself from the dead, but it agrees with the example above which proves your position is a total flop.

Those who crucified him thought the same thing. Don't worry, he will judge for you that some day. His Daddy doesn't like people who hate His son either.

John 2:22
When therefore He was risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this and they believed the Scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

Too bad you don't believe the word Jesus had said.
