You oppose the very plain words of scripture and boast, that Faith is not of ourselves, its the Gift of God Eph 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
You seem to have missed something

Yes and the verse you had quoted Romans 6:23 confirms this,
Romans 6:23 (KJV 1900) — 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The by grace you are saved in the Eph 2:8 verse is the primary subject. The salvation is the gift of God that Eph 2:9 speaks of as well that lines up with Rom 6:23 It does not include faith for faith is still something one must apply .
You just have to be willing to believe scripture and consider all the facts

Now Faith comes by hearing and understanding the word spiritually Matt 13:23
23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

the fact that claiming faith is not a result of works is an absurd argument to make for no one would affirm it is

"Faith comes by HEARING" the Gospel.
You have to hear it, to believe it.
And that's on you..
There is a reason that no verse in the bible says...>"ok, now God is going to make some of you believe and that is why im here preaching......so that God can make some of you believe".
The Holy Spirit will reveal that its TRUE< to a HEARER.... but He does not come into your head and take over.
God is not a body snatcher.
He is not in this.....= "you are a hand puppet and that is why i made you believe"....
So, Calvin is a liar and his deceived are no different as when you teach his theology, then, there are you found.

For the gazillionth time, the verse does not say "Faith comes by hearing the word of Christ/God".
Faith comes by HEARING and HEARING [comes] by the word of Christ/God. God enables hearing for those on whom He has mercy. “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.”

See if it was WORD, then that is JESUS or the Holy Spirit.

And that TRUTH we believe in..., is JESUS Himself.... (John 14:6) ..so, to come to the knowledge of JESUS, and BELIEVE in HIM.....is "your FAITH (in Christ) is counted by God, as Righteousness".
No one is forced to believe and no one is excluded from the chance to Trust in Christ.
