Statement: the OT is the NT .... Hidden. the NT is the OT .... Revealed.

With that statement, the OT answers and reveals what is to come in the NT. many symbols in stories in the OT points to the NT as a Pattern, Type, which is a shadow of things to come. for example, the Kinsman Redeemer, not only in the story of Ruth, but clearly seen in Genesis before Abram meets Melchisedec, and the new covenant blessing and the establishing of the new order of priesthood, after Abrams meets Melchisedec. as well as what happens to man's restoration, and salvation, all in the story of Abram and Lot, and his meeting with Melchisedec before the Levitical priesthood and the Law. for there was many who worship God in Spirit and in Truth before the covenant at Sina and the giving of the LAW which Abram did not have, nor was under.

also, in the OT many was Just, (declared righteous), perfect and upright before God .... before Moses and the Law and the Levitical priesthood came into existence. this topic purpose is to re-examine the OT event, in discussing these Pattern, Types, and Shadow of the OT.

“The Kinsman Redeemer”
We will start at Genesis 14:12 "And they took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed."

Take Note of the term “brother” here as in Abram's brother's son. This is a very important piece of information to the KINSMAN REDEEMER doctrine. In this verse it’s “Abram's brother's son” his nephew.

Genesis 14:13 "And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram."

only one of many was able to escape but could not help any other. This type meaning, no man can save another, it takes God to deliver/save man.

Genesis 14:14 "And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan."

Take note of this term “brother” here. But in verse 12 above, he was listed as Abram's brother's son. Let's stop here and examine the first part of the KINSMAN REDEEMER Theology as in a Pattern, of this Shadow with Abram and Lot. that Which was to come.
the term brother here is, H251 אָח 'ach (awch) n-m....... The Outline of Biblical Usage
brother of same parents

half-brother (same father)

relative, kinship, same tribe

each to the other (reciprocal relationship)

(fig.) of resemblance

This Definition and how the word is Pronounce can be found at The blue Letter Bible web Site. https://www.blueletterbible.org/lexicon/h251/kjv/wlc/0-1/

Knowing this definition as in kinship as stated above, we have our first step in building our case for the KINSMAM REDEEMER. Because the KJV can also translate this word as, kindred, or Kin.

Now the Pattern Clearly: we know now that a KINSHIP/KINDRED is established. Let's see how this is a TYPE of Christ. Revelation 22:16 "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star." the term “offspring” here is the Greek word,
G1085 γένος genos (ǰe'-nos) n.
kin.
{abstract or concrete, literal or figurative, individual or collective}
[from G1096]
KJV: born, country(-man), diversity, generation, kind(-red), nation, offspring, stock
Root(s): G1096

There is the connection to Christ.”Kin” and also as the KJV can translate it as kind(-red). so we have our connect to Christ as the KINSMAM REDEEMER. (Cross reference to the Kinsman Redeemer is also found in Zechariah 13:7, Hebrews 2:14 &17, Philippians 2:7). for in Hebrews 2:14 & 17 we see Christ is like his …. “brethren/kin, as in Lot to Abram), meaning flesh bone and blood. Hebrews 2:14 "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;" Hebrews 2:17 "Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people."

Philippians 2:7 "But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:"

next time we will examine the restoration of man, as revealed in Genesis 14:16 "And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people."

these two terms are worthy to look at, brought back and brought again.

In Matthew 4:15-23, Jesus began his ministry with the Gospel message to repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand, which was a light to the Gentiles, and God's law is how his audience knew what sin is (Romans 3:20), so repenting from our disobedience to is a central part of the Gospel of the Kingdom, which is in accordance with Jesus being sent in fulfillment of the promise to bless us by turning us from our wickedness (Acts 3:25-26), which is the Gospel that was made known in advance to Abraham in accordance with the promise (Galatians 3:8), and which he spread to those in Haran in accordance with the promise (Genesis 12:1-5).

God's way is the way to know Him by being in His likeness through being a doer of His character traits, such as in Genesis 18:19, God knew Abraham that he would teach his children and those of His household to walk in God's way by being a doer of righteousness and justice that the Lord might bring to Him all that He has promised. In Genesis 26:4-5, God will multiply Abraham's children as the stars in the heaven, to his children He will give all of these lands, and through His children all of the nations of the earth will be blessed because he heard God's voice and guarded His charge, commandments, statutes, and laws. In Genesis 30:16, if the children of Abraham will love God with all of their heart by walking in His way in obedience to His statutes, commandments, and laws, then they will live and multiply and God will bless them in the land that they go to possess. So the promise was made to Abraham and brought about because he walked in God's way in obedience to His law, he taught his children and those of his household to do that in accordance with spreading the Gospel of the Kingdom, and because they did that. Moreover, in Exodus 33:13, Moses wanted God to be gracious to him by teaching him to walk in His way that he and Israel might know Him, and in Psalms 119;1-3, God's law is how the children of Abraham know how to be blessed by walking in His way, so both Abraham and Moses spread the Gospel of the Kingdom by teaching people walk in God's way in obedience to His law.

God's character traits are eternal, so any instructions that God has given for how to do that are eternally valid regardless of when God gave them. For example, God's righteousness is eternal (Psalms 119:142), therefore all of His righteous laws are eternal (Psalms 119:142). While the only way for someone to attain a character trait is through faith, what it means for someone to attain a character trait is for them to become a doer of that trait, so while the only way to become righteous is by faith apart from being required to have first done enough righteous works in order to earn it as the result, it would be contradictory for someone to become righteous apart from becoming a doer of righteous works in obedience to God's law, which is why the same faith by which we are declared righteous apart from works does not abolish our need to be a doer of God's law, but rather our faith upholds it (Romans 3:27-31). Abraham could not have taught his children and those of his household to walk in God's way by being a doer of righteousness and justice if he hadn't be given laws in that regard. The Spirit has the role of leading us to obey God's law (Ezekiel 36:26-27) and God's law is truth (Psalms 119:142), so obedience to God's law is the way to worship Him in Spirit and in truth.

God's way is the way to know Him by being in His likeness through being a doer of His character traits,
first thanks for the reply, second, correct, to be like God in character is why we're call sons of God. because as sons we show God character.
In Genesis 26:4-5, God will multiply Abraham's children as the stars in the heaven
again correct, Revelation 7:9 "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;"
So the promise was made to Abraham and brought about because he walked in God's way in obedience to His law, he taught his children and those of his household to do that in accordance with spreading the Gospel of the Kingdom
Correct, and this was without the Mosiac Law, for God require us to worship him in Spirit and truth. and Micah 6:8 make this clear, "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"

again thanks for the reply, in much GL.

There are many verses that make it abundantly clear that God taught how to walk in His way through the Mosaic Law, such as with Deuteronomy 10:12-13, Isaiah 2:2-3, 1 Kings 2:1-3, Joshua 22:5, Psalms 103:7, Psalms 119:1-3, and many others.

In Ezekiel 36:26-26, the Spirit has the role of leading us to obey the Mosaic Law, and in Psalms 119:142 the Mosaic Law is truth, so following Christs example of obedience to it is the way to worship God in Spirit and in truth. In Micah 6:8, he is certainly not saying that in contrast with the obeying the Mosaic Law, but rather that is in accordance with it. Walking in God’s way is the way to walk humbly with our God.

but now we walk in Spirit and in TRUTH, for as Romans 2:14 states, "For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:"

Not having the Torah refers to not having physical possession of a Torah scroll in contrast with Jews having the oracles of God (Romans 3:1-2), though believing Gentiles are nevertheless still a doer of the Torah by nature.

GINOLJC, to all.
for there was Gentiles keeping God Law without the Torah. Job is a classic example. what surprising, Job was righteous before God, and perfect. and many gentiles was PRIEST of the Most high God. and this Melchizedek was one of the first gemtile priest mention as a priest of the most high God.
Genesis 14:18 "And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God." and this man as pries, blessed Abram and this was after Abram demonstrate a Kinsman redeemer in bringing back his brother Lot.
Genesis 14:16 "And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people."

Brought Back “All Goods”, is the same definition below when used of the goods, and People. here the Goods, and the Land was returned, not restored yet, but returned. (and the final redemption will come in the NEW HEAVEN, and the NEW EARTH), when the Lord Jesus returns. Which is a Pattern after Lot removal from Sodom and Gomorrah and is destroyed or cleansed. REVELATION chapter 19 Which is the PATTEREN of Lots escape by the divine deliverance.

the Hebrew term Brought Again “Lot and the peoples”: strong H7725 שׁוּב shuwb (shooɓ), (shoo va), the same word used above, and it means Deliver again, showing redemption, SALVATION in the shadow here in Abram bringing. back Lot and the peoples. Joel 2:32a "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered/Saved this Spiritual Pattern, we see a deliver in Abram to his brother/kin/kindred, Lot? but was not Lot his nephew? Yes, for in Genesis 14:12 "And they took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed." but why in verse 14 Abram refers to Lot as his brother and not his brother son in verse 14? because the PATTERN is showing a TYPE as a KINSMAN as in a KINSMAN REDEEMER. For in flesh we all are kin by blood. rom one blood God made all nations, (see acts 17:26) In which Abram Brought Back or delivered Lot and the people that was taken, (spiritually in sin), from captivity of his enemies. the term “brother” here in biblical use is strong H251 אָח 'ach (awch) n-m.it can mean, brother of same parents, half-brother (same father), relative, kinship, same tribe. **** is important. For the The KJV can translates Strong's H251 in the following manner: kindred, like, another. We see it in kinship, or kindred, as in THE KINSMAN REDEEMER, (for all people), because Abram name was changed to Abraham, for he would be the father of MANY NATIONS. So Abram is a TYPE or Shadow of a KINSMAM, to all nations, hence his name change, to Abraham, the father of many Nations. God did not make a covenant with Abram, but with Abraham. and this was after Melchizedek blessed him.

So, all Nations, who repent by calling on the name of the LORD/JESUS will be restored/saved. This is found in Joel 2:32 "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call."

"The assured blessing of the righteous SAVED and removed from destruction."
The Example, or Shadow, the final destruction or cleansing of the earth. 2 Peter 3:10 "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." 2 Peter 3:11 "Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness," 2 Peter 3:12 "Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?"

these cities, Sodom and Gomorrha, are what the earth has become today. which in the Abram and Melchisedec example meeting is the blessing that we will be caught up in the heaven/AIR to meet him at his coming, and avoid the destruction of the wicked, just as the example of Lot being remove from destruction. but we have his, God, assurance in blessing as Melchisedec blessed Abram, that we, the righteous will be saved,
Jude 1:7 "Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."
