Over 300 prophecies fulfilled by Jesus in his 1st coming

In studying the first coming of Jesus, it's been found that he fulfilled over 300 old testament prophecies of the Messiah.

I first heard about this in the late 70's and early 80's.
Along with this, there was a mathematical correlation that gave a probability that one man could fulfill just 8.

As part of a hobby, incited by a pastor who provided a list of 50 prophecies, I found a website that lists the 365 prophecies fulfilled by Jesus.

JESUS FULFILLED OVER 300 PROPHECIES MATHEMATICALLY PROVING THAT HE IS THE MESSIAH

BIBLE / TOPICAL STUDY

There are over 300 prophecies that point directly to the Messiah. Let’s start with eight and the odds of Jesus fulfilling just these eight.

The time of His birth (see the Daniel 8 & 9 Timeline)

He would be born in Bethlehem. (Micah 5:2)

He would be born of a virgin. (Isaiah 7:14)

He would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver. (Zechariah 11:12)

He would be mocked. (Psalm 22:7,8)

He would be crucified. (John 3:14)

He would be pierced. (Psalms 22:16)

He would die with the wicked, but He would be buried with the rich. (Isaiah 53:9)

By multiplying all of the estimates of the fulfillment of each prophecy together, (1 in 2.8 x 105 x 103 x 102 x 103 x 105 x 103 x 104.) This gives 1 in 2.8 x 10^28, where 28 means that we have 28 ciphers following the 2.8. Let us simplify and reduce the number by calling it 1 in 10^28. Written out this number is 1 in 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.

This is the answer to the question: One man in how many men has fulfilled these eight prophecies? But we are really concerned with the answer to the question: What is the chance that any man might have lived from the day of these prophecies down to the present time and have fulfilled all of the eight prophecies?

We can answer this question by dividing our 10^28 by the total number of people who have lived since the time of these prophecies. The best information available indicates the number to be about 88 billion or 8.8 x 10^10.

To simplify the computation let us call the number 1011. By dividing these two numbers we find that the chance that any man might have lived down to the present time and fulfilled all eight prophecies is 1 in 10^17.

The odds of fulfillment and their explanation were calculated by Dr. Don Stoner on his website Science Speaks.

The arrival of John the Baptist as forerunner or messenger about Christ Jesus is very interesting. Among people who claimed to be a messiah in that era, none would have had the witness of someone like John the Baptist beforehand. If any of them had claimed a forerunner, these fake messiahs did not bring forth the promises of God.

Glad you brought up this point on John the Baptist as the fore runner to the Messiah. is this not John the Baptist who is the Elijah to come? who is one of the two witnesses per Revelation 11?
