Need a reason to believe Calvinists are who they claim to be?

Type all you want. Im not reading your posts. I'm done giving you my attention.
Proverbs 14:7,
- leave the presence of a fool, for you will not find knowledge or hear godly wisdom from his lips

So I'm a fool after you've witnessed me confess Jesus Christ multiple times?

Others can judge your comments. There isn't a reason to get angry in this manner to the point of calling me a fool.

Even so, it does show who is and who isn't capable of defending "their faith".

My brother, in your new man you do have a spiritual mind and nature that cannot sin, but loves God perfectly through Christ, by being created after his image. But, we still have the old man Adam keeping us from doing the will of God as we desire to do.
Jim, I know this seems to be a paradox.. because it is indeed.

1st John 1:8

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”

1st John 3:9

“Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”
This is what John is teaching in 1John 3:9.
- Whoever is born of God.
Being born of God is by the word of God,
Luke 8:11,
- now the parable is this the seed is the word of God...
1 Peter 1:23,
- being born again not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible by the word of God

1John 3:9,
Whosoever is born of God( by the gospel, the word) doth not commit sin for his seed remaineth in him

As long as the seed(word of God, gospel) is in him he does not sin.
Meaning as long as a born again Christian lives by the gospel he does not practise habitual sin.

When he strays away from following the gospel then he does sin. Then 1John 1:8 applies to him.

1John 3:9. The seed living in him, does not sin.
1John 1:8 The gospel no longer living by needs forgiveness of sins.

1John 3:9,
- whosoever is born of God does not commit sin.... Why John? ....for His(Jesus' gospel) seed, remaineth in him and he cannot sin(no one sins when they live by the gospel) because he is born of God

John is not teaching the impossibility to commit sin.
John is teaching one who lives by the gospel, seed of Jesus Christ will not practise habitual sin.

When the born again fall short of the gospel, then 1John 1:8 applies.

The gospel the seed the word of God is Jesus Christ.
When a born again Christian sins he is no longer following Christ 1John 1:8-9.

When he follows the gospel he does not sin, 1John 3:9,

Following the gospel is following Christ.

1Peter 1:23,
- being born again not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible by the word of God

Jesus is the word. He is the good news.
John 1:1,
- in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God

1John 3:6-9,
- no one who abides in Jesus keeps on sinning no one who keeps on sinning(practices habitual sin) has either seen Him or known Him

Without Christ's obedience there would be no salvation at all for man. But Christ did obey His Father by going to the cross but that does not mean man does not have to obey God too. Man is to follow in Christ's steps by obeying Christ Heb 5:8-9.

Paul does NOT say many will be made righteous UNCONDITIONALLY. People read the idea of "unconditional" into these verses in Rom 5. Paul begins Rom 5 by saying justified by faith...faith is CONDITIONAL upon being justified. Hence justification of life is CONDITIONAL upon having faith. Christ's obedience in going to the cross does not UNCONDITIONALLY save all men but saves those who CONDITIONALLY have an OBEDIENT faith.

The gospel the seed the word of God is Jesus Christ.
When a born again Christian sins he is no longer following Christ 1John 1:8-9.

Then you're not following Christ. You've sinned today by calling me a fool.

When he follows the gospel he does not sin, 1John 3:9,

Not true at all. You're following a very poor translation.

John dealt with believers sinning.

1Jn 2:1 (My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin.) But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous One,

Pay attention to what you read and stop these "one verse" wonder appeals.

Like you? Like you sinned just today? It that practicing sin? You're not alone @Red Baker did too. Every man does. Just admit it. It isn't nice to point out other people's sin while ignoring your own.

Ecc 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

Man not only can have the mind of Christ they are commanded to.
Without Christ's obedience there would be no salvation at all for man. But Christ did obey His Father by going to the cross but that does not mean man does not have to obey God too. Man is to follow in Christ's steps by obeying Christ Heb 5:8-9.
- though He were a Son yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered
- and being made perfect He became the author of eternal salvation to all them that obey Him

Luke 9:23,
- if anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me

live as He lived, 1John 2:6
Serve as He served, John 13:15
Suffer as He suffered, 1Peter 2:21
Think as He thought(same mind) Philippians 2:5
Follow Him fully, Luke 9:23

@Titus
- Whoever is born of God.
Being born of God is by the word of God,
Titus, you are very confused sir, and truly you need to listen to older men (maybe even women in some rare cases)
in faith that has much more experience in rightly dividing the word of God, for I can see you do not have this gift at moment, maybe it can come, but it is not there. No pun intended Titus.

Being born of God is to be born of His Spirit, so that his elect can see, hear, and understand. This birth is without any means whatsoever, since man in the flesh is at enmity against God ~ even more than, he is dead spiritually speaking and needs to be made alive so that he can do spiritual acts pleasing unto God.
1 Peter 1:23,
- being born again not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible by the word of God
Titus, how much confidence to you have of truly understanding 1st Peter 1:23? Let us consider scripture this in light of the overall scriptures.

1st Peter 1:23

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”

Titus this scripture belongs in our camp, not yours, and I can easily prove it. Based on what God's word teaches concerning man by nature, being dead in trespasses and sin, not able to submit to God by doing godly, spiritual acts pleasing unto God, until he has an new heart/nature that can and will submit to God, doing spiritual acts pleasing unto God, such as faith, repentance, being baptized into Jesus' faith/religion, and loving others more than himself, or, at least, striving to do so.

Please follow me carefully, without a bias spirit, if possible.

1st Corinthians 2:1

“And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.”

Titus, when the scriptures are preached faithfully, one is sending forth God's testimony of what the truth is on a given subject, be whatever that topic may. John said this:

1st John 5:9

“If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.”

Titus, God could have chosen many different means to communicate his truth to us, yet the has chosen the written word of God to give his testimony/witness of the truth, be whatever that truth may be.

So, in this sense are we born of the word of God, that is: by its testimony/witness according to what the scriptures teach concerning how one is born of the Spirit of God. The written word of God of itself has no power, and truly man in his natural state is at enmity against God and his word, (according to God's testimony and witness of the truth as it is in Jesus Christ) so it is impossible for the written word of God being the means of the new birth, it is by the TESTIMOMY/WITNESS of God given to us from his word revealing to us how one is born of God! This is the true sense of 1st Peter 1:23, not the way you are using the scriptures, but to your credit, you are not alone, you have a great company teaching the same thing.

As long as the seed(word of God, gospel) is in him he does not sin.
Meaning as long as a born again Christian lives by the gospel he does not practise habitual sin.

When he strays away from following the gospel then he does sin. Then 1John 1:8 applies to him.

I'm coming back to make a separate post using these words.

@praise_yeshua
What do you know. An Arminian and Calvinist agreeing against a common enemy....

That is what men do while claiming innocence themselves.
I am agreeing with Titus concerning your rambling, chasing your own tail, I'm not here to be entertain.

Never claim to be innocence, I have my short comings as well.

Man not only can have the mind of Christ they are commanded to.

Is false doctrine practicing sin?

@praise_yeshua

I am agreeing with Titus concerning your rambling, chasing your own tail, I'm not here to be entertain.

So I'm a dog like Christ told the Canaanite women? Just making sure you realize what you're saying.

I'm not here to entertain anyone.

So how am I "chasing my tail"?

Never claim to be innocence, I have my short comings as well.

The very facts of chastening in the life of believers proves @Titus wrong about what he thinks about sin.

Understanding Gods word does not come from a miraculous gift.
The apostles wrote down the word of God by miraculous knowledge.
The Holy Spirit already did the work so that all who read may have understanding.

Do you really think, the Holy Spirit's work of revelation is not yet revealed?
That is clearly a contradiction.

This is a self refuting fallacy.

Claim: God has already revealed His truth.
Red Baker's claim: but we cant truly understand it.

This is self refuting because if something has been revealed by the Holy Spirit it implies intended communication and understanding.

Saying we cannot understand it undermines the purpose of revelation itself!!!!
Which is to make known the mind of God to His creation.

Ephesians 3:4,
- by which when you read, you may understand My knowledge in the mystery of Christ

Red Baker is also guilty of the appeal to authority fallacy.
The Catholics are quite found of this one.
So are calvinist.
