Mark 16:16~"He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

That's not the way I see it. But you should tell him and not me. He seems to do pretty well at explaining what he is talking about.

And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Acts 16:31

31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

...within an hour.

Exactly what Mark 16:16 is saying to do...believe and be baptized to be saved.

Wrong, by the name of Jesus and faith in his name. You omitted most of the verse. Read it again.
Acts 3:19 - "And on the basis of faith in His name, it is the name of Jesus which has strengthened this man whom you see and know; and the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all."
You asked how he was healed. He was healed on the basis of faith. Faith in what? Faith in the name of Jesus, the authority of Jesus. Not just faith in the name "Jesus". As has been pointed out, it says in Scripture that just using the name of Jesus without a relationship between you and He is useless.

Let's debate!

Also, unless you obey Acts 2:38, you are not a menber of the firstborn.

You are not even born again.

Acts 2:38 is your ticket to paradise.

There is no alternative to being part of the Church.

No scholar will ever be able to change it.

It's set in stone.
do you think the entire bible stands or falls on 1 verse ?

it must be in agreement with the rest of the bible- the context of scripture. scripture does not contradict scripture. its like a puzzle that all fits together perfectly and in harmony.

Believing on the Lord Jesus Christ is what saved them. Being baptized is a confirmation of what already happened when they believed and were saved. Water baptism doesn't save you.

Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth and you will be saved. Then go get baptized within an hour or a week or a year.

Can you be saved and still be in sin? Absolutely not.
Did Paul believe when he saw the light on the road? Absolutely he did.
So then, if Paul was saved (forgiven of sin) on the road when he believed, how was he still in sins three days later when Ananias told him to be baptized and wash away his sins?

Egad, what anti-Jesus name version is that?

Remission of sins in the NT church stands and falls on 1 verse.

Acts 2:38 is what we all must do, not just those in Acts.

This...

...16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Not this...

....16 He that believeth and is SAVED shall be BAPTIZED; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

here is your problem

your faith stands and falls on 1 verse in the bible. So if that verse was not there would you still believe the same way you do now ?

you can remove any single verse in the bible and my faith/belief would no change at all one bit- unlike yours.

your faith would crumble.

this proves beyond all doubt your view in incorrect as it does not harmonize with the rest of the bible.

Actually, 4 verses...

2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

8:16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

...which covers Acts appropriately.

...thats 18 chapters of Acts covered by baptism in the name of Jesus.

That is why I call them Acts skippers.

They ignore 18 chapters of water baptisms.

Or maybe... just maybe it's 18 chapters that are being misinterpreted by people who think baptism saves you. The blood of Jesus is what saves you, Baptism is a ritual. The outward display of an inward conviction.

This.....16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Baptism is not necessary for salvation. The Bible is clear that salvation is by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ, not by works. While baptism is regarded as an important step of obedience and public testimony, it is not necessarily viewed as a prerequisite for salvation.

The blood is not obtained by a mere "confession".

It is obtained only this way....

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, ...

And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission...

The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us...

Let's debate!
I want to do this in a orderly manner, where one of us goes first with his position using scriptures to support their understanding. Whoever goes first, must put forth his best effort to defend his position~when finished, the others can do likeness~then each have an opportunity to show the errors of their opponent. Someone must moderate this, to make sure each are staying on the subject and each are addressing their opponent position properly/honestly. Maybe someone would be willing to do this for us.
Also, unless you obey Acts 2:38, you are not a menber of the firstborn.
We shall see, if it is obeying certain scripture, in your case Acts 2:38, in order to have our names written in the book of life~or, was our names in the book of life from the foundation of the world base on Jesus securing the gift of eternal life for those to whom he was a surety for, given to him by his Father to redeem from the condemnation of God's law.
You are not even born again.
Coming from you, means nothing to me, since you do not even know how one is born of the Spirit of God per Jesus' teaching in John 3:1-8. In the context of Acts 2:38 is not even mention in any way in John 3:1-8.
There is no alternative to being part of the Church.
Sir, you don't even know what constitute a church and how it is form.

Matthew 16:17,18~"And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

The church of Jesus Christ is built upon "divine revelation" when the Spirit of God births the elect into the religion of Jesus Christ! It is not by water baptism~that would be putting the cart before the horse! Maybe that's the way you folk drive your cart, or at least try to. That will not work.

No scholar will ever be able to change it.

It's set in stone.
Actually your house is built upon sand, and we shall prove it, maybe not to you, but for God's precious sheep for whom we labor.
