As a man thinks in his heart so is he.

The Bible teaches us that our words have power and we get exactly what we speak. Along with that, our thoughts affect our moods and attitudes. In other words, your attitude in life affects your altitude in life, meaning your attitude determines how far you can go in life—how far you can go in pursuing your dreams, relationships, business, etc.

Your thoughts and my thoughts will determine the kind of lives we will have in the future. And you don’t have to think about and focus on whatever falls into your head. You can think things on purpose. Sometimes it is good to just sit down and have a think session. And then it’s good to have a confession session. After almost forty years of knowing these things, I still have to practice them daily. Be determined to maintain good thoughts.

Power Thought: I think and say things on purpose.

So many things wrong with what you just said. I wish Joyce was here. She isolates herself from others who desire to debate her teachings. I'll settle for you. Since you're quoting her as teaching the truth. Then don't claim you don't believe what she says. I'm just saying that because we are going to get to the problem with what she teaches.

Have you ever spoke something and never got it? Be honest.

We all fit into the body somewhere. You don't get to be something you're not. I don't either. Where do you place her in the body of Christ? Is she the eyes and ears of the body?

Jesus said

“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” John 17:3

Here Jesus is telling us that our continuing to seek God, desiring to know Him more, is the essence of true life, eternal life. The most important thoughts our minds can entertain are thoughts of God, because they will determine the quality and direction of life.

Ranking the importance of various thoughts. However, loving someone that has a independent mind requires thinking of THEM.... exactly where they are.

Jesus left the 99 and went searching for what he lost.

Yes. I said.... What he lost. I enjoy having that conversation with Calvinists.

We all lose things we love. There are battles taking place in our lives. Sometimes we must do things ourselves. Even Jesus was hindered. Jesus got "dirty" in the circumstances to prove His love for others.

He got a lot more than dirty. Have you comprehended the long, agonizing hours during which Jesus was illegally arrested, tried, humiliated, tortured and subjected to the worst instrument of execution devised by men? What about His clash with Satan, and how this determined the ultimate destiny of all nations? And what of how that battle is tied to the true gospel, the only message Jesus brought—but so few have heard?

Okay. I agree. How does that "square" with this "context" of.....

Only thinking of good things or "speaking" something into existence?

you have not because you ask not James 4:2

There is no guarantee that you will get it, but it is the best possible chance you have, and prayer will keep you within God’s will. When you have submitted your will to His, you will be happy with what He gives you, whether or not you get what you originally asked for.

If we delight ourselves in the Lord, He will often give us the desires of our hearts. I do agree that if you don't ask, then there is a very real possibly it will never happen.

Though..... I will say. I have gotten things from the "hand of God" that I didn't ask for.

When you have submitted your will to His, you will be happy with what He gives you, whether or not you get what you originally asked for.

I don't know that we must be "happy" or "will be happy"....

If we ask God to save our loved ones, and they refuse God, then there is no context of "accepting God's will". Often what happens in life isn't God's will. It is the will of someone else. Satan's will. The individuals will..... the "will of evil men" often prevails.

There are many wills that "compete" for a substantive reality.

In this, we can still treasure God knowing He represents the very best of everything. Sometimes.... the best... .Doesn't win.

We don't have to "caulk it up" to God failing us or us... ourselves making a mistake.

Sincerity is of the utmost importance in any sense of a "good character" of will. It must be real. It must be meaningful at every level of the heart and will of any "Essence" of character.

God can't deny Himself. He is what He is. We are what we are. Many times, that doesn't go well together. God will not break His "integrity" of Character nor the individuals will to form a "compromise" of two opposing wills.

[Things are hidden temporarily only as a means to revelation.] For there is nothing hidden except to be revealed, nor is anything [temporarily] kept secret except in order that it may be made known.
MARK 4:22

The Word has tremendous treasures, powerful life-giving secrets that God wants to reveal to us.

They are manifested to those who ponder, study, think about, practice mentally, and meditate on the Word of God.There is no end to what God can show you out of one verse of Scripture. You can study a Scripture one time and get one thing, and another time you’ll see something else you did not even notice before.

The Lord keeps revealing His secrets to those who are diligent about studying the Word. Don’t be the kind of person who always wants to live off of someone else’s revelation. Study the Word yourself, and allow the Holy Spirit to bless your life with truth.

Is your sin to be revealed? I thought God forgets them?

Hebrews 8:12 — "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."

There is usually limits to the application of most any single verse you want to reference. Joyce should know this. Apparently she doesn't. I would never say/write what she did above.

No matter how many times you read Hebrews 8:12. God says he forgets. He is specific as to what he forgets.

No matter how we "slice it".... we are never going to get everything we want..... and we shouldn't. Even if it is GOOD doesn't mean we're going to get any "good thing" we want to ask from God.

Not everyone can have the same things in this life. God has given mankind power to control others but he also made them culpable in their own actions.

Our wills compete with one another. Brother to brother. Sister to sister. Husband to wife. Wife to husband. This life is all about relationships and how we chose to consider one another.
