1 Corinthians 7:25-40
25 Yet, concerning virginity, I don't have a command from Alaha {God}, but, I give counsel as a man who has compassion from Alaha {God}; who is trustworthy.
26 And I consider that this is good, because of the necessity of the time, that it is better for a son of man that he should be thus.
27 Are you bound with a wife? Don't seek release. Are you loosed from a wife? Don't seek a wife.
28 And if you take a wife, you haven't sinned. And if a virgin is given unto a man, she hasn't sinned. For, difficulty in the body is unto those who are thus, but, concerning that, I spare you.
29 And this I say, my Brothers, that time is now shortened, for, the ones who are for their wives, should be as that they were not for them,
30 and those who weep, as not weeping, and those who rejoice, as not rejoicing, and those who buy, as not enjoying their possessions,
31 and those, who in this world use these things, that they not use them, except for what is proper, for, the form of this world is passing away.
32 On this account, I desire that you be without care, for, he unto whom is not for a wife, is careful in regards to Mareh {His Lord}, how that he is to be pleasing unto Mareh {His Lord},
33 and he who is for a wife is careful of the world, how that he is to be pleasing unto his wife.
34 Yet, there is a distinction also between a wife, and unto a virgin, who is not for a man, caring in regard unto Marah {her Lord}, that she be Holy in body and in spirit, and she who is for a husband, is careful in regard to that of the world, how to be pleasing unto her husband.
35 But, this I speak, is unto your own advantage. It's not a snare I place for you, but rather, that you might be steadfast respecting Markun {Your Lord}, in a proper manner, while you not have care with regard to the world.
36 Yet, if a man thinks that he is mocked with regard to his virgin, that she has passed her time, and he hasn't given her unto a man, and it is proper that he give her; according unto his will he should act; it isn't a sin that she marries.
37 But, he who has truly decided in his mind, and isn't upset for the matter, and has power over his will, and thus judges in his heart that he should keep her a virgin, does well.
38 And he, therefore, who gives his virgin, does well, and he who
doesn't give his virgin, especially does well.
39 The wife, for as long as her husband is alive, is bound by The Law. Yet, if her husband should sleep {i.e. die}, is free, so that she may be with whom that she desires; only, in Maran {Our Lord}.
40 Yet, happy is she, if thus she remains, according to my own thought. But, I think I am also of The Rukha d'Alaha {The Spirit of God}, who is in me.
- Here Paul is clear again!
- He gives counsels, directions!
- But there is no obligation!
- Those who turned it into obligation have nothing to do with Yah.weh!
- It is only human tradition to keep people away from Yah.weh!
- We must always remember that this world will pass away as those who like it!
- Paul is practical!
- He gives practical and good advice!
- He is educated!
- He cares about everybody!
- But his priority is Yah.weh!
- Yah.weh should also be our priority!
